First time coming here with my girlfriend and we had a good experience. What amazes me is the kids I saw so many that skate really good. I wish my parents would of taken me more often when I was child.

My family had a good time ice-skating. There are plenty of snacks in the snack bar. Not too expensive. Music was nice.

Decent rink with plenty of parking… just wish it wasn’t such a hike to the rink. And the walk back to the car seems longer after a loss. :) The concession stand stays open pretty late for us tired and hungry parents looking for a snack before a game. They don’t skimp on the fries either. The are seats in the lobby if you don’t like to sit inside the cold rink area… and there is, plenty of seating inside as well. The stands are a bit rickety, especially up top and the view isn’t great either with all the netting but it’s ok. As rinks go it’s pretty good. My only complaint is the lack of WiFi for Internet access. Given the poor cellular reception(at least for Verizon) inside and outside this area, it would be nice to at least have some form of connectivity.

Years from now, when my 5-year-old nephew is a playing in the NHL, we will remember Saturday mornings spent at the Hommocks Park Ice Rink. Hopefully Will gets drafted by the Rangers(his favorite team) or the Penguins(he loves Sidney Crosby), so we can watch him play close to home. No matter who he plays for(unless it’s the hated Flyers), we will no doubt laugh over times spent at the rink in Larchmont, NY, where the Slap Shot Café serves warm coffee, candy and highly recommended Chicken Nuggets. Is there any game cooler than hockey?
