I bring all my kids here before sending them off to camp. Francine, who I believe is the owner, is absolutely wonderful in helping to find books that my children love. She seems to have an infinite and detailed knowledge of most of the books in the store and has always done a great job in helping to find books to «match the reader.» She is even able to speak about many of the authors whom she has met and how they came up with their ideas. It is so nice to encounter such a personal touch in an age when transactions have become more and more impersonal.

I love this store. As a parent of a teenager reader, the store lives up to its title. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Francine always takes time to speak to my daughter about what she’s reading and suggests books based on that. It’s clear she has a passion for young adult books. As a small retailer, this and another independent bookstore are the only two I frequent. If neither one has my book, they both can get it in a day. If you haven’t signed up for the newsletter, you should. Packed full of information, there’s always something going on. Right now, Francine has started a STEM reading group. Conversations on science, technology, engineering, and math with your neighbors. Great way to meet like minded folks. If books aren’t your thing, there’s always tea and ice cream. Ice cream is from a local creamery so in the spirit of independent, Voracious Reader puts their money where their mouth is. Pun intended.

This is a great store for families that want to encorage reading in childeren and teens. Its got a great open atmosphere and offers a selection of books great for younger agr groups. For adults, theres a shelf and a connected café that serves coffe. A nice place to go read, but the in-store selection could be bigger.
