Winetasters of Larchmont is fantastic! They offer the best selections at a great price and offer curb side pick up. The staff is very friendly with vast insight. Once they know your tastes they will always steer you in the right direction. The hours are perfect for city commuters. James couldn’t have been more helpful with us in the past.

I started going to winetasters because they have a great deal if you buy a case of wine on Mondays… But I continue to go back because they are SO friendly and knowledgable, and eager to help. It’s a nice vibe in there. And I also like that I can pull up in front of the store or park in their driveway and they bring the wine out to my car.

I love this place. Great selection, great price and great service. I particularly appreciate the late hour openings and the knowledgeable staff. I started going to this place after my neighbor suggested to me 2 years ago. I wish my neighbor would have told me earlier and save me the trouble of agonizing over where to buy wine.

Clearly the best store for wine in Larchmont and surrounding towns. Each wine provides a helpful description and wine spectator or other rating. I found plenty of mid-priced whites and reds — I typically buy $ 11-$ 16 bottles, but certainly more pricey options, if that’s your interest. Ask Greg or James what bottles are on special.

I was hoping to never have to leave such a negative review, but here it is. Reasonable selection, staff seemed helpful, but awful prices. Welcome to Larchmont inflation! Many single malts are at least 30 percent more expensive than elsewhere: Glenmorangie 10 is $ 45 where it can be bought for $ 34 elsewhere. Lagavulin 16 costs $ 85, whereas in New York City of all places, it averages $ 65. The prices alone should have been a bigger red flag than they were. Anyway, for convenience, I bought a Johnny Walker Collection, which set me back $ 140 plus tax. After getting home, I noticed that prices online and in other retail stores were much lower– around $ 100. Feeling ripped off, I called the store to ask them about their policy for unopened returns, and I was told repeatedly that it is illegal to accept returns of unopened liquor in New York State, when the State Liquor Authority(SLA) clearly says otherwise here: After sourcing and reading this to the salesperson, all he could do was continue to insist that returning unopened alcohol is illegal. I understand wanting to comply with state regulations, but when it is stated as clearly as can be on the SLA website, the store has more to lose by alienating a paying customer than losing a single sale. I was ripped off by $ 50, but in the long run, that was a small price to pay for making me aware of this terrible rip off. Thank you and good riddance! Don’t be duped by the convenience. Do yourself and your wallet a big favor; stay far far away!
