Emperor Garden Asian Bistro

I brought a friend from out if town to eat Chinese food at Emporer Garden because I thought it would be the best place to go to impress her with a nice atmosphere and good Chinese food. But I was wrong.
Unfortunately my friend bit into her food and pulled out a hair from her mouth. When we called the waiter over he apologized and went to tell the owner. The owner Michael Wong, came over and instead of apologizing profusely for something so disgusting, and offering even a small discount, he acted like it was no big deal. He even said it was a blond hair so he didn’t know where it came from, my friend and I do not have blond hair. He never said he was sorry, and he never offered to make it right, so I will not be going back to that restaurant again. And I will strongly discourage my friends and family from ever going to that restaurant. It was terrible customer service, and I was not expecting to get free food but a discount and an apology would have been nice especially since my friend is thinking about moving down here.

If you are expecting to pay the prices on the website you’ll be in for a surprise as they have totally different pricing. They are also notorious for filling the to-​go boxes halfway with broccoli and carrots and then putting in beef, chicken, etc. In short… you’re getting ripped off. All the other reviews about the lack of customer service are spot-​on. It’s not a good experience and evidently a reflection on the owner. Now that Panda Express is in town I expect that hopefully they will take enough business from them so that they will improve the dining experience. This place was great 10 – 15 years ago. It’s been in a steady decline since then. On a positive note, they do have a good variety of entrees and if you’re willing to pony up the high price and settle for small portions, then this place is worth ordering from every 9 months or so.

Do NOT eat here! We ordered delivery and the food was gross. The «fried rice» was yellow, cold, & no flavor! I ordered kung pao chicken and shrimp and was not what I expected. Shrimp was not cleaned peanuts were overly cooked. Save your money and go to the mall or panda express

Worst Chinese food I ever had!!! Food took forever and was cold. Save your money and go to McDonald’s you will enjoy it better!!!

I’ve eaten here twice while visiting from out of town and both times, my debit card numbers were stolen. I gave my debit/​credit card when I placed a phone order for delivery to my hotel. It was a brand new card, which I hadn’t used yet, because I had just opened an account at that particular bank. The girl who took my phone order must of given the debit card number to someone else, because they started ordering merchandise online from Hanes, Victoria’s Secret and even tried to book a hotel room at a local Laredo hotel. I was shocked at their brazen, over-​eager theft skills. I check my accounts constantly and was able to cancel before they wiped me out. I called the restaurant to report the theft and the owner did not apologize or say one word of how sorry he was. He said, «you need to take it up with your bank!»
The food was disgusting & cold too. You aren’t going to get decent Chinese food in Laredo, though. Emperor’s Garden might as well be slopping hogs, because it’s as dirty as a pig trough.

Ordered delivery tonight to our hotel and everything was great! Delivery was perfect timing. The delivery man was very friendly. Food was tasty and hot. We will order from here again when we are in the area. Also the portions are very large and are fair prices (in my opinion)

Been here a number of times buffet and menu. first off the place is very clean very good food. As for the buffet its very fresh good food for a great price $ 11 including a coke… and for menu items I always order large soup feefs 4 $ 6.95 –combination rice or noodles are a must always have em combo. rice feefs 4 easy $ 7 then I always get kung pao chicken hold the vegetables feeds4 easy best intown alot of people talk sh#t but this place is awesome… best place for asian period

Horrible customer service. I called to place an order for delivery to La Bota Ranch and they told me I had to purchase a total of $ 60 or more in order to deliver. The lady hung up on me not even allowing me to ask if I could go and pick up the food because I wasn’t going to purchase $ 60 in food. It’s just ridiculous. So I called again asking to speak to the manager, and a man answered the phone saying he was the owner, laughing. I told him about his employee hanging up on me and he just laughed and said «oh yes» very sarcastically. Then he hung up the phone on me as well. My husband called them back and spoke the manager again and he continued laughing. Obviously the ‚“owner ‘Michael Wok’”, does not care about his customers therefore I refuse to eat at this establishment. Very rude and unprofessional!

I came here for the lunch buffet. I’ll keep it simple:
The service was poor.
The restaurant is dirty inside and out.
The quality of the food is okay at best.
Don’t come here. Save your money.

Over priced. Poor quality of food and service was very poor also. I waited 30 minutes on hold to order delivery. I will not eat here again.

Excellent service.. drink was always full… food was ok… I didn’t realize it was a buffet until I arrived.. I wouldn’t really call it a bistro but it was an ok buffet with your basic chinese dishes.. They did have sushi (tuna and salmon rolls) … The place could use a good cleaning.. a lot of dust in and around my booth

HORRIBLE. This place is super dirty & completely disgusting. We found a roach floating in the wonton soup! The only thing they could offer us was a discount voucher to come back and use for another meal. We refused due to the fact that we will NEVER be eating there again. If you want decent Chinese food… head to the food court in the mall!
