Fantastic! The reviews are spot on. Great service. Family owned. Food was great. Pasta Fagoli about the best I’ve ever had. Got the eggplant parm. Excellent. Great sauce. My chick had the gnocchi Gorgonzola. Spectacular. They make the most amazing rolls. Treat yourself to this friendly slice of heaven. Oh. I forgot about the taramisi. Wow!

Had a great meal with a charming waitress. Started with lentil soup. Finished with penne and broccoli in a garlic butter sauce. Just what the doctor ordered. Excellent

Once is awhile, it’s nice to dine in a restaurant with cloth tablecloths and napkins, and that is the case at Amici’s. From the outside, Amici’s can be very deceiving because it is located in a rundown strip mall. Don’t be turned off by the outside, you will be pleasantly surprised when you walk through their doors and are greeted warmly, and see a vibrant, yet rustic looking décor. The delicious aroma permeating the restaurant is fabulous too. Okay, no surprise here, I ordered Eggplant Parm with spaghetti. It was very, very good, and the sauce/gravy and the pasta, very pleasant. The table bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. It was very good and really did not require any oil or butter. An old friend of mine once said, if the bread is good, it needs nothing! Such was the case with Amici’s bread during my visit. The house salad was just fine. My girlfriend had lasagne and it was also very good, but it was layered differently than from what we are used to. Her husband had Scallops and Linguini in a nicely flavored olive oil mix, and he said it tasted great. My husband had Veal Marsala and also said it tasted great. We were stuffed by the end of our meal but opted to split a Tiramisu. Wow! It was worth it! Nice and light and creamy! I make a fairly mean Tiramisu and this one was right on par! Amici’s is good for a romantic dinner for two or an intimate dinner party. On this Saturday night it was all adults, and mostly couples of all ages. That was nice too! Quiet enough to hear the dinner music playing in the background!

Tried Amici’s for the first time last night. Went in at dinner and was handed a rather large menu of Italian dishes and read of list of delicious sounding specials. Fridays are our pizza night and we asked the waitress if they served pizza as we saw it in reviews. She said that they have a separate menu for pizza and that you have to ask for it because they want to push their Italian dinner menu??? So we asked for it and ordered a pizza. I must say, it was really good. Cooked perfectly, great taste, pepperoni was a little greasy, but the cheese and crust were great. Also ordered off the appetizer menu the Eggplant Rollatolli, which was also excellent. Even their house Pinot Grigio was good. I have to agree with other reviewers that you cannot judge this place from the outside, they do what they can by making their part of the center look good but it is just a somewhat dumpy shopping center. Inside the place is great, super clean, nice atmosphere, and lots of smiling faces willing to help. Our server was great and even though they were busy, food came out in good time. I will absolutely go back to try some other items and then again for the pizza again.

We come to Clearwater once a year for vacation and this restaurant is always on our«must eat» list. Main dishes and pizza are wonderful– literally can’t go wrong. The desserts are usually wonderful as well. However, on this visit we received a visibly burnt cannoli. It tasted horrible– not only burnt, but like it was cooked in very old oil. There were 5 of us and we ordered appetizers, main courses and desserts. Our waiter refused to replace the cannoli, stating that it was perfectly fine. We have eaten cannoli all over the US, and I can assure you it was NOT fine. Very disappointing end to our much-anticipated visit.

We have been customers for years and I looked forward to it every visit. Sad to say last Thursday will probably be our last trip in. The service was so unbelievably poor it defied imagination. Sat with empty glasses for almost the entirety of the meal. Bread arrived burnt. The timing of the food from the kitchen was terrible. You shouldn’t wait that long for food, service, or anything and then have food come out in intervals. My main dish was the same as usual, but if the service is that poor I cannot justify giving my business to them again. It’s too bad as they do have excellent food for the most part.

AUTHENTIC Italian! We have had fabulous meals here as good as any made in my greatgrandmother’s kitchen. Cannot recommend the food highly enough. The eggplant rollatini, as an appetizer, is out of this world. The wines are very good as are the desserts. The service is excellent as well. The only detraction is the dated atmosphere but this is so low on the priority list for me as food and wine are much more important. I mention it only because it matters to some people. This is our favorite Italian restaurant in the area.

Passed by this small restaurant in a strip for 3 days finally decided to try it and very pleasantly surprised. Waitstaff was friendly and curtesy. Food was excellent. And to find a young lady singing Italian songs was a huge plus. Would recommend to anyone.

We are visiting the Indian shores area and amici was recommended for great Italian food. Both the eggplant parmigiana and sausage and pasta dinners were excellent. The tiramisu was perfect– light, flavorful and a great end to the meal. No waiting and great service. Stay away from the chains and eat here.

Don’t let the outside fool you. We found Amici about a year ago and it is now our go to Italian eatery. We have never been disappointed. The spaghetti carbonara is my favorite. My husband skips around the menu with each visit. We are always treated well and the servers are very attentive. We highly recommend Amici.

Oh Amici. I love your chicken francaise over spinach but why must you be so expensive? This is my absolute favorite meal in the area but it is definitely a bit more pricy than other nearby eateries. I think maybe if you update the décor so I don’t feel like I’m in my Aunt’s basement in Long Island then I might be a little less offended by the prices. I don’t mind paying at Cristino’s, for example, but I always feel like I’m overpaying at Amici. My husband’s chief complaint with Amici is the soda by the can. He’s a big beverage person so this annoys him, not that big of a deal for me. We have always had great service and food at Amici I just wish it wasn’t so expensive for what it is.

Really good Italian food. Went in for pizza but after looking at the menu we ordered dinners and boy were we glad! All the food tasted homemade and our waitress was great. Cann’t wait to go back, maybe for pizza next time!

First off — although this place looks like a dump from the outside, the interior is very, very nice. Clean, modern, and comfortable. Service usually excellent. Food is amazing. Best Italian on the beach, in my opinion. Never tried the pizza, but everything else is outstanding. Eggplant Parmesean was superb.

Went for an early Sunday dinner. Wife and I wanted to try something new. We have driven past Amici’s before and decided to stop on in. Being early the restaurant was not crowded but our server Duncan had a keen instinct it was our first visit. He was very attentive and provided some great dinner recommendations, veal saltinbucca for the wife and linguine Del Golfo(there version of Frutti del mare) for myself. After Duncan boxed up the left overs we just had to hear what they offered for dessert. Had to get the tirimissu as its a classic but also got sold on something unique a lemon sorbet that is imported from Italy. Both desserts were fantastic. Bottom line good food, good service, and family run definitely coming back.

Saturday evening at 9:30pm we went in and a guy greeted us and said the kitchen is closed. Hours on the door said 10pm, and they have a bright neon«open» light. So if you want to try out this place go before the staff decides they are done for the evening.
