I went back to this dentist because of excruciating pain with another tooth. I had a partial root canal done. The hygienist explained that they did not have all the tools to perform a full one. I was charged over $ 400 dollars. The dentist recommended a specialist for the full root canal who then charged $ 920. I was told to come back to the first dentist and was given papers to sign saying i would be paying $ 1,200 for a crown on that tooth in full. They advertise low cost dental procedures on their website but $ 1,200 is not low cost. I asked if i could do partial payments and was told no. I’m disappointed because my first experience was great but now i find that i cannot afford to go back to fix my tooth.

Went in on a Friday afternoon to have a crown re-cemeted, the office visit/mandatory X-ray/materials cost $ 110.00 — less than 24 hours, the crown was loose again. Since it was Saturday, I had to wait until Monday to call. The office person advised there would be additional charges to re-cement crown since Dr. Sorrentino wasn’t in(I’d have to see a different dentist) This didn’t make sense so I called the Tampa office. Sure enough, even tho the crown fell off in less than 24 hours, there would be a charge to re-cement UNLESS, at Dr. Sorrentino’s sole discretion, Dr. Sorentino decided not to charge me BUT I wouldn’t know whether or not I would be charged until I see Dr. Sorrentino. Huh? So, $ 110 later, I’m right back where I started… a loose crown. The good part is that I learned of this crazy & expensive policy BEFORE having any other dental work done at Dental Clinic. FWIW — Dr. Sorrentino seemed very competent and pleasant but the office policy is to NOT stand behind the work or service. I have no idea if the area wasn’t dry enough before he placed the cement or if cheap cement was used or what. The gal at the Tampa office said she would check with Dr Sorrentino and call me back in 5 minutes — that was an hour ago.
