Let me preface this review by saying, before a few recent visits, this establishment has been at least a 4⁄5. My coworkers and I would often make stops here for lunch since we are close by and the food was pretty great, sometimes racking up a bill of over 80 dollars. However, after a few years of our patronage the food became less flavorful and the meats became dry. To combat this for awhile we would ask for extra sauce with any of the platters. Since about last year, they have completely stopped offering extra sauce as an option. Its not an available add-on to a platter, not even a side you can pay for. Under no circumstances will they let you get extra sauce on anything, even if the cashier is writing up a 75 dollar order, leaving the meat dry and lacking in flavor. I know it sounds like giving a pretty decent restaurant a 2 star review just because they do not offer extra sauce is a bit harsh, but it is the complete lack of accommodation that drives this low rating. If you do end up going here, I recommend only getting one of the sandwiches, excellent produce, but the bread and meat leave something to be desired. Rice and beans on the side are average, lacking in seasoning and punch. Try to avoid any of the meat-centric platters as they will most likely have you asking for a salt shaker and a few glasses of water to combat the dry, unseasoned, sauce-lacking dish.

Cashier not the friendliest(not terrible) but who cares if food is great. However my roasted pork sandwich with hot aju dip was pretty much tasteless until I added salt and the hot sauce from the table. A decent sandwich for 7 bucks but not great. On the other hand we also tried the Cuban and the Cuban reuben which were awesome. Full of flavor and totally satisfying. I’d get either one of them again and again. This is a go to cuban place for lunch for sure

A Cuban restaurant is judged on two main things, the Cuban bread and the black beans and rice. Havanna Harry’s somewhat reminds you of a typical Cuban deli but instead of old with character, you get cheap and poorly decorated. The interior is pretty bland and cheap. The staff isn’t too friendly and lacks the depth o knowledge of real Cuban food. The black beans and rice I would give a C-. Poorly seasoned and just basic at best. The Cuban bread wasn’t much to rave about either. I would give it a B-. The food isn’t what I expected from what seemed to be an awesome hole in the wall. It’s more like a discount sandwich shop that puts their food on Cuban bread. And it’s not run by Cubans so that lacks authenticity… In addition the place is DIRTY !

Oh My Gosh… I’ve had so many people tell me how delicious this place is and FINALLY stopped in to grab lunch. Thank God! First if you are getting a two meals for the price of one. My Mom and I both ordered a pulled chicken breast with ranch and provolone on pressed cuban for only $ 6.99. Well about 5 mins later we got our order and it was one huge sandwich cut into two pieces. I barely finished one half so next time I will split one with someone! I plan on trying the pulled pork next though! We had the rest for dinner that night. Super filling, delicious and great price. Will be back way more often!!! YUM!

Delicious rice and beans with chicken. Had the Mami style chicken instead of smoked. The sandwiches are really delicious as well. This is a quaint little market/deli that serves some great food.

Ordered the Cuban and mojo pork sandwich with also a side of the rice and beans. I thought the Cuban was a bit salty but it was expected. The mojo pork sandwich and the rice and beans on the other hand were very good and I would highly recommend those too!

I’m not an expert on Cuban cuisine, but I like to think their food is pretty good. I was a regular here up until now. The two stars I’m taking off are for lack of customer service and otherwise unimpressive dining environment I felt compelled to write a review after calling in five minutes before close to put in a take-out order. I work long weeks and didn’t think it would be too much to ask to get an order ready for me to pick up right at close. Guy on the phone said«yeah, there’s no way you’ll be here within four minutes from 102nd and Seminole. Sorry, we’ll be open later during daylight savings time.» My answer was literally: «Oh — um, alright?» Did you really just refuse a customer because it would take them an extra minute to arrive? Really?! God forbid the door isn’t closed and locked by 8:00 on the dot. I ended up passing the place before my cell phone’s clock reached 8:01, but I must be crazy to think that anyone could extend that much of a courtesy. Don’t get me wrong, I want to get home, too. But I work 70+ hour weeks, and I’ll still hang out for an extra minute if people are in transit with a reasonable ETA and an empty stomach. I hope you got home in time for your favorite sitcom.

I have to say… when I was reading the menu I was excited! I honestly couldn’t pick between several options, they just sounded so good. The food was ordered from a delivery service(just feel like I should add in this point). After careful consideration, because I am pretty picky about how my sandwiches are prepared, I opted for the roast beef sandwich with Au jus dipping sauce. When my sandwich arrived I quickly noticed that lettuce and tomato had been added. Ok, no problem but it was not in the description. What kept me from almost being able to eat lunch was the mayonnaise they had added. I HATEMAYO! Now, if I had missed and forgotten to tell them… it would be on me. However, nowhere in their menu does it say Roast Beef sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. They also failed to provide me with Au jus. In order to eat, I took off the sides with mayonnaise and stuck the other sides together. But let’s be honest, what’s a hot roast beef without Au jus!!! I will probably give them another shot in the future. The sandwich did have real promise. I guess I will have to be more specific than their menu with my request.

I eat at Havana Harry’s at least weekly. I love the Ropa Vieja the best but the Mojo Pork And Mami Chicken is great too. I recently tried the kale and chicken soup when I was feeling under the weather and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. I recommend the fish dip-passed it off as my own at a party and I got a lot of compliments. I only wish they still delivered!

This place is filthy! The food is good but I didn’t notice the filth until after I started eating. Hopefully I won’t be sick later!

Best Cuban this side of the Bay! I grew up in Tampa eating Cubans like the rest of the US eats peanut butter & jelly. This is the Tampa style Cuban pressed sandwich has roast pork, ham, and salami. You can call ahead and they will have them ready. They also have some homemade dishes, the ropa vieja is very good, and the smoked pork. There are bottled sodas available, some Spanish style types, and a small Spanish market. I often also get the smoked Chipotle salmon to go to put in my salads at home. We usually get takeout but there are a couple tables inside and out, this is a market/deli atmosphere, not a restaurant atmosphere. Always courteous service and very good prices. We eat here about 1x a week.

Hands down best Cuban sandwich I have had. The place sells all kinds of Cuban fare, but I ordered 5 Cubans to go. The staff were friendly. They took a while to make the sandwiches, but they were hot pressed Cubans, so I didn’t mind waiting. They offered that I call ahead next time. I don’t live in the area, but have hd many Cubans and these are the best. They have a couple table that you can eat at, but I imagine most of their business is take out. I am glad I stopped!

Best Cuban sandwiches around. Not much else to say as that’s all we ever get. The staff is great too.

Excellent little Cuban themed market/shop at the corner of Walsingham and Indian Rocks Rd. Small amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Cuban sandwiches, rice and beans, 1904 Salad are all tasty. Price is great and selection really good. Will be back to try more things.

Havana Harry gives smaller meat portions and makes up the weight in rice TOMEAS A WOMAN for the same price my husband pays for the same dish. Listen for it: A mamasita portion. Outraged. This happens every time I eat here though I try to ‘hide’ my order under a man’s name. I have resorted to having my husband go in while I hide until the meal is delivered. Forget it. I live here. But I’m boycotting this place.

The Cuban sandwich I had was alright but not amazing. The bread was good but all the meat including the pork was deli lunch meat. The fish spread wasn’t very flavorful and was very watery. Overall, 3⁄5 for takeout. Tables I saw were dirty and had flaking paint on their tabletops.

I stopped here as I was right next door at CVS running some errands. I saw their sign claiming«the best cubans». Naturally I had to try the cuban. There was plenty of meat on the sandwich, just the right amount of mustard and pickle in my opinion. I would say this was a very good cuban sandwich. I’m not an expert on cuban sandwiches as they usually are not my first choice. I also decided to try their italian sandwich. This has lettuce, tomato, onion, fresh basil and oregano, gouda cheese, provolone, smoked ham, pepperoni, salami, italian dressing, topped with a shaved asiago cheese. This has a great taste. The choice of cheeses and meats blend well together. All of the meats and cheeses taste very fresh. I would definitely go back. I however would not go out of my way to eat here again. I did find the prices very reasonable, and the food quite tasty. If I’m next door at lunch time again, I’ll stop in.

Quick Summary: Great little place for some tasty tasty food. My foray into Cuban cuisine is not that extensive, but if it all tastes this good… I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. It’s easy to drive right by this little deli/market, but inside you’ll find flavorful food at a great value. With so many delicious options, it was easy to become lost, but my taste buds were quickly perked up upon seeing the smoked pulled pork, served over rice and black beans. Though this was a simple dish, it was delicious! The pork was tender and flavorful, with a nice hint of smokiness. The rice and beans complemented the pork perfectly… the only issue I saw was that it was soo good I was eating way too fast! I need to expand knowledge of cuban food… and will definitely be coming back here to do some studying: D
