Hubby raved about a grouper sandwich he stopped off and had one day, so we went back the next day for shrimp poboys. They were delicious, fresh, and made to order. Not too much bread or lettuce either as fillers, which happens a lot with poboys. Also thought the service was really friendly from everyone who helped us. Will definitely be back to try more items.

Went here for the first time yesterday for lunch. Had their fried grouper sandwich and I can’t say enough good things about it. It was fresh, huge, thick and cooked to perfection. Their French fries were very good also. I will be going back and trying more items on the menu(and buying fresh seafood from their showcase).

Been here several times for the smoked halibut and salmon which is very delicious. Not the most personable crew but local and family owned sometimes equates to «we had to hire them, their family». Sometimes it’s a nice experience, sometimes it’s not. The food is always terrific though.

It’s so hard to get a local seafood shack that sells simple seafood! It’s great having one in the neighborhood! I’ve only picked up live blue crabs so my review is basically on that experience. I have not tried their food but it’s great that they have that option as well. I know blue crab isn’t really in season, but they still have quality crabs available. They were $ 20 for a dozen which is an okay price. I actually can’t wait to come back in the spring when they are in season and def will purchase them again from J & K. They also accept cards so that’s a plus! I’m also curious about the oysters so maybe next time.

Gross, didn’t de-vein the fried shripp I ordered leaving me to eat fried shrimp poop. That’s totally disgusting and being lazy in food preparation. Makes me question the cleaniness of other food they handle. I how ever will not be returning for their business.

Best smoked salmon I’ve had! They also sell smoked mullet and will cook up shrimp or other fish as a sandwich and you can eat right there or take it with you ready to eat. The dining area is a covered deck out front of the restaurant with stool seating if you’re eating there they sell beer as well as sodas to drink. This is my favorite place to buy fresh salmon because it’s very good quality and fresh here throughout the season, they tell me it’s Norwegian. They also sell fresh grouper cheeks, grouper, shrimp, scallops, clams, tilapia, hogfish, snapper and usually a few other types. You can call ahead and will have your cooked or fresh fish/shrimp or sandwich order ready to pick up when you get there if you like. The whole family works there I think and they know their seafood. Make sure you leave with a tub of their famous fish spread.(If it’s not famous it should be, every time I have it out of the party people ask where it’s from)

I went there for fried shrimp and ordered one pound of shrimp. They came out in pretty short order, but they were some of the worst shrimp I have ever had. First off, the batter is not flavored well and actually takes away from the taste of the shrimp. This also could have been because they tasted like the oil used to fry the shrimp was way too old. I have seen this many times in the restaurant industry, places trying to get too many miles out of their oil. The worst of all was that they don’t devein their shrimp. It is disgusting to see big, full«mud» veins in cooked shrimp. We all know what that is… and it ain’t mud! This is pure laziness in food preparation. Who on earth would want to eat shrimp poop? This is definitely a place I will never go back to. Such wasted potential.

This place was delicious. It is a fish market, but they serve food fresh to order(by the pound). There is as small covered area where you can sit and enjoy your meal. We got the grilled grouper and it was amazing. Side items(cole slaw, french fries, and hush puppies) were economically priced and complimented the meal. Beers were $ 2.25. We would definitely go there again.

Amazingly good grouper sandwich and grouper nuggets! The fish is always fresh, and cooked to order. They have a cute outside porch for dining, but take out service is available too.
