The Barber’s Wes

Wow where do I start? I guess with a disclaimer saying I understand most women do not go to barber shops for an undercut touch up. However, I strongly feel why can I not go to one without discrimination? Who advertises their barber shop is only for men? This place does. I took a chance to stop by here today carefree of my gender because of location convenience. Was asked how I could be helped as I walked through the door. I thought instantly I was in the wrong place to receive anything more than the basics. The smell of moth balls, cluttered stacks of odd collections of knickknacks, old furniture, dirt and dust made me cringe. After I waited for the man who greeted me to complete the other customer waiting for service I was welcomed over to the barber chair as the other employee had disappeared after his previous client. The clip was perfected using many different clippers and even a much appreciated quick vacuum off of the hair trimmings. If I’m in a pinch for a trim I may stop by again because the clip was on point but most likely not because of the awkward atmosphere.
