charging 5 cents less for e85!?! what a rip! not going to support a company that rips off Americans!

got my first cup of coffee here been hearing so much about the place from my husband. The selection on the coffee flavors is a little small compared to Wawa’s but what you can do is AMAZING! Whip cream on top with chocolate, caramel, kaula and white chocolate drizzle! they have little mini marshmallows you an add on top its just amazing the things you can create with your coffee. now I’m not just going to brag about the coffee. the store was very clean, the staff was very nice and the grounds were nice also. the crew here really cares about how their store looks at how their grounds looks. The only really down side is that it’s hard to get in and out because the busy streets if that corner. oh did I forget to mention they have a rewards card for the coffee. get so many cups only $ 0.99 any size and then get a free cup. It’s a little barcode card thing that you keep on your keyring. we had anytime anywhere! I wish there was one closer to my house then so far away.

Clean place, good selection, prices usually lower than others on same corner. And for those who need it, they carry E85 Flexfuel at about $.40/​gal less than regular unleaded.

Thortons is my current preferred gas station out of this 3 gas station (soon to be 4) section of Ulmerton. They have a pretty large drink and food selection which makes them the logical choice for my work breaks (I work overnight and I am mostly limited to gas stations and McDonald’s).
The inside of Thortons is rather large and they have a wide variety of snacks. I have adopted an addiction to the Herr’s Jalapeño Popper cheese doodles that I find here. Their wraps, salads and sandwiches are decent. While they are not the best thing to eat for lunch, I like them better than the other 2 gas station choices. I love that they have a large tea and soda selection and that they have syrups you can add to them. They even have soft serve and Shushies!

Thorntons is great. Cheap coffee and soda 24 – 7. Gas prices are good. They throw out the doughnuts after 7pm, sometimes they key them out of the system but leave them for a little while which means free donuts! Make sure you get a rewards card and get free drinks.

Thorntons is new to Florida until recently. This is the second one to open in the Clearwater/​Largo area in the last few months. It’s located on the corner of Starkey Rd and Ulmerton Rd. (1^st one is on Gulf to Bay Blvd in Clearwater)
What I love about this Thorntons is it’s gas price. It’s the lowest among the three nearest stations, those being Rallys and Racetrac. New to the area they are the first to lower their price then the other two match it. It’s great for the consumer!
Also of interest is the newer concept of fast food inside the store. They have quite a variety. Cold ready made sandwiches are in a case, Cuban, Ham and Cheese, Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad to name a few. They have hot sandwiches such as Grilled Chicken, Fish and Cheese, BBQ Rib, and Italian. They have Jumbo Hot Dogs, Polish Sausage, Pepper Jack Sausage, and Spicy Sausage. They also offer hot Tornado’s which are similar to burritos without the beans, Meatball Marinara, Southwest Chicken, Cheese Burger, and Pepper Jack Cheese. There is also a fresh condiment station with grated cheese, hot peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, etc.
Quite a large variety of coffee’s too, hot and iced. Different flavored Fizz Freez (think Slurpee). Assorted fountain drinks any size for 89 cents.
So this is the new kid on the block, raising the bar in the gas/​fast food/​convenience store market. Supposed to be a Wawa’s being built on the other corner at this intersection. I love competition, don’t you?
So why the three stars… Come on now, it’s still a gas station!
