Village Inn

I love this place. The food is always good. The staff is always friendly. It’s never too busy. And it’s pretty clean. I like it much better than ihop and Denny’s.

Had such a good experience on previous all you can eat fish fry, we decided to try it again today (¹⁄₂₉). Unfortunately it was a disaster. After placing and receiving our order, we were informed they ran out of fish. How does that happen at 6:15 on the busiest night of the week. The manager came to the table and made a half ass excuse and made no effort to reconcile the situation. Even when we said we would probably not return, he turned and walked away. How pathetic and what a joke. Will not return even if they were giving away free fish.

An easy quick place the whole family can agree on. I think the customer service could improve with the front staff, but the cashier and hostess were incredibly friendly. Food is what you’d expect, pie options can’t be beat!

Rather good all-​around-​food value.
Great service, but avoid during Holidays periods, AND avoid dinner on Weds. between 4 — 8 PM, due to the «FREE PIE DAY».
We’ll always be back.

Since the private takeover of what was a company store this place is great. Food well prepared, service between great and excellent, pies delish. Recommended.

wife thought the chicken pot pie was very good and my fish and chips was ok. The portions were enough that we didn’t have any pie for dessert and they have an excellent reputation for the pie.

Had a late lunch today at The Village Inn and thoroughly enjoyed it. The menu offered a LOT of choices, including breakfast all day, lunch and dinner options. They even have an early bird special dinner, $ 7.99 for various choices of appetizer, entrée and pie for dessert.
We had a very nice waitress and she gave us good service. (We did not have the early bird specials.). We enjoyed our meals very much. Best of all to our surprise we received free slices of pie; on Wednesdays ordering an entrée earns you pie, and the pie selection is quite extensive.

Had the breakfast combo. As part of the order, had the orange blossom crêpe. It came out «leaking» — pretty disgusting looking. Ends up the «orange blossom» is just a sauce and it had melted. They were nice enough to bring out a plain crêpe with the sauce and whipped cream in separate dishes. Even with that, I wouldn’t recommend it. The strawberry crêpe which my friend had looked delicious as it had real strawberries. I had also ordered decaf coffee which the waiter had forgotten. We grabbed one of the managers who promptly brought out a pot. Friendly enough place but the food was kind of bland and bit on the low quantity size. We went to Mama’s the next day which was much, much better. Although I understand the pies are to die for so maybe I’ll be back for a lunch or dinner.

This place is just like Denny’s. Very turn them and burn them attitude. The apple juice was served warm, and was disgusting. The fruit was squishy and gross. The main entrees, Chicken Fried Steak and Omelettes were good, just your average breakfast food. However, the chocolate pecan silk pie was great. They were out of key lime pie.

We ended up getting a gift card to Village Inn for reasons I won’t go into here. I tried the chipotle chicken ciabatta sandwich. I knew there was going to be problems when the lady taking my to go order said flat bread after I said ciabatta for the second time.
The sandwich was served on flat bread and not ciabatta bread. The menu says grilled chicken, the sandwich came with fried chicken. Instead of the chipotle lime vinaigrette it was a chipotle mayo.
It shouldn’t be that difficult to produce a product to the specifications laid out in the menu.

COMFORT FOOD HEAVEN. You know what I’m talking about. The place is modern, well maintained, and clean. The staff is prompt and friendly, and the manager always stops by to see if we’re happy with our meal. Food is good, and prices are very reasonable.

The food is absolutely terrible. Batter on fish is disgusting. Shepards pie tastes worse than microwaved swansons. Grilled cheese uses non «cheese». Restaurant is dirty.

I enjoy Village Inns. The food is always hot, fresh, and good. Usually fast and friendly service. Also, most items can be modified unlike many of the other box stores.

Great breakfast place. This Village Inn is very clean and appears to be new construction. Staying on the beaches this was a 5 minute ride from Indian Shores. Richard was a great waiter and speed and service were excellent. The VIB — select 4 options for 7.29 is a great value. Overall I would highly recommend and come back again. It gets 4 stars mainly to service and cleanliness. The food is good but normal breakfast stuff.

Better than the village inn in st pete, but not much better. Portions were slightly larger although my pancakes were freaking tiny and not even that good. Eggs were good but a little undercooked. Bacon was really good but honestly, how can you mess up bacon? Still think Denny’s and IHOP are better. Work on it, Village Inn.

Always very well prepared foods and friendly, efficient service. Excellent desserts and a good value.

After the rebuild the restaurant is much better. I find the service is quite good. The food is as expected from any «box store» type of restaurant. I have not found anything exceptionally great so can not rate more than 3 stars at this time.

Food and service were good.

I’m generally not a picky person. Just serve me some hot food in a decent amount of time and I’m pleased. But this place scares me. They apparently are having issues with the air conditioning. Our table was right underneath one, and to our amazement, it began dripping on us. It took far too long to re-​seat us, so our food was cold before we got it to the new table. The food wasn’t cooked properly to start with, so we got a double whammy.
To their credit, they did comp our meals. But really, compared to everything that happened, its not enough to make me want to come back anytime soon.
