Updated review: after about three years of Red Boy being our«go to» pizza place, I can’t fairly leave them with a three star review. Frankly, I love the pizzas from this place. Get the thin crust and you’re going to be happy. Worth mentioning that they recently redid the interior too(although we always pick up). Other reviews mention high prices, but frankly I haven’t found other pizzas in the area for less, and none satisfy the craving the way Red Boy does. Now I’d just love to see them perfect their chicken wings :)

Ever time I order a pizza I swear I won’t go back. But round table is too far. Red boy used to have good blue cheese salad dressing. Tonight I got some and it was thin as water, kinda blue looking and tastes discussting. So now for sure I’m not going back.

Been eating here my whole life — 40+ years. Locals spot. Need to know what pizzas to order. Love the pepperoni/sausage/onion/garlic/cheese on sourdough! Not a fancy restaurant but have good beers on tap such as Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Delivered is awesome, if you are curteous when ordering, otherwise you will be waiting a while, so be nice. One of the few remaining original Marin pizza joints. So sad Larkspur is changing and loosing it’s character, as I see all the lame negative reviews posted and have to wonder… These people must be too young to know good pizza, love big chain pizza or be professional Unilocal negative posters paid by them to put out the compitition. Give the new owners a chance!!! Really nice family!!! Excellent customer service. Pizza is as good if not better than ever.

I found it strange that I was the only patron at 7:00PM. The owner was very friendly but I felt odd being the only one there. The whole town seems like an episode from The Truman Show except that the people are rude jerks. Twice, I smiled at 2 people and got blank stares. They looked at me like… what is a person like you doing here in our rich town… weird! Anyway, the Italian Sandwich($ 10.00) was just average.

This is not the Red Boy that I remember growing up in Marin. I couldn’t taste that classic Red Boy sauce on the order we picked up. Plus, our baseball team planned to gather here for an end of season get together and they cancelled to close for maintenance. I think this must be new management or ownership. [Update to this post: we drove by to see if they were open when we had planned our team gathering — notice was posted on the door that the restaurant was closed by County health department]

I would have liked to have been able to add a review of their pizza, but they never brought it to me! Mom was gone for the weekend and the kids wanted pizza. It was raining and ugly out and our old favorite closed, so I thought I’d give these guys a try. I called in my order and the person who answered said it would take about an hour for delivery, was that ok? I said sure. He gave me the cost and we started the wait. After about an hour and a half, it got to the point where I just made dinner for the kids, so they could get to bed. I finally called about the order after about 2 hours and the person who answered the phone said«I don’t have an order for you. Are you sure you ordered it from us?» After explaining that I did, he said, «hmmm, not sure what to say.» He didn’t ask if I wanted to re-order, didn’t come up with some way to possibly(although, honestly, not very likely) keep me as a customer. Just a big, oh well. Pizza delivery should not be this difficult. Can’t tell you how the pizza is though.

I think that the pizza is pretty good but I enjoy mountain mikes more. Sometimes I feel like this pizza and I go here pretty often. This would be 4 stars if the employees were not as rude. Or should I say employee. The chubby girl was rude and didn’t seem to want to be there. This hasn’t happened one time but I have noticed her rude behavior whenever I go there.

This place is an absolute nightmare! After several unsatisfactory experiences from incorrect orders to problems with delivery. Tonight’s experience has taken the cake and the management can be sure that they will not be receiving my recommendations or my continued patronage. This evening after a long break from Red Boy, I thought I would give them another shot. I proceeded to their website to submit an order online for delivery. I had no issue navigating the website and placed an order spending over 20 dollars. I waited for my food for an hour and 15 minutes getting ready to call Red Boy to check on my order. Just then I received a call from them. They proceeded to tell me that the only way to complete my order would be if I came to pick it up myself. The reason they could not deliver is that I did not spend enough to warrant a delivery. Keep in mind that this is after a delivery charge had been applied. It is an absolute mystery how this could of happened. If I did not spend enough on my order, why didn’t the website prompt me when submitting the order. If that wasn’t surprising enough, why did it take restaurant staff over an hour to tell me there is an issue. This experience shows an immaturity in professionalism and management that I know from past orders impacts food quality. Ultimately, Red Boy Pizza does not deserve your time or your money.

Had some combination pizzas delivered to our office for lunch. Wow — what a big mistake! At least now I know what horrible pizza tastes like; a greasy, congealed mess with one of the strangest sourdough crusts that was clearly undercooked & gummy tasting — yuk! To add insult to injury they got our order wrong & they do not take any responsibility for inconveniencing their customers. My advice? Go someplace else for pizza.

Went there kind of in a hurry at lunch. They had a few pieces of single sliced pizza. Old. Cardboard. Should have been thrown out! It is lunch time too. What is going on? Last day of school? Busy? Didn’t you know this! I should have left and not stayed but I was in it this far and had to eat. Not a good experience. We were the only ones there. They could have done a much better job. People after me had to go away. What are they doing in business? Better planning. Better Food. Better Everything. The guy that worked there was nice but he could have planned or done better. Fresh pizza is their business right?

I ordered two pizzas going by the online menu(med and large). When I arrived to pick up for preschool party the pizza guy was obnoxious and the price tag was ridiculous $ 47.00 for two pizzas!!! I will never visit this business again and the management should train their workers to serve customers not be rude and obnoxious

Came here with friends and tried their Pesto Chicken pizza. The pizza was topped with grilled chicken, red pepper, cheese, garlic and pesto, and the combination was incredible. Good thing we ordered an extra large. 10⁄10 I’d come back again and highly recommend trying

I was looking forward to some good pizza because I remembered it being the best in the past. Unfortunately, everything about this place was bad. My husband said it looks identical to when he came here high school thirty years ago. It was just a lot dirtier. Dirty floors, dirty tablecloths, dirty kitchen. Don’t even think of using the nasty bathroom /storage room. The staff were very unprofessional — not good comminicators, too loud, too casual, very slow to clear tables. I know this is a casual place, but it just wasn’t good. The salad was not fresh with a bunch of wilted leaves. Generic not-so-great Italian dressing from a bottle. Luckily this was removed from my bill. About $ 20 for a large cheese pizza. The pizza took a really long time to get to our table, and it wasn’t even cooked all the way. The bottom wasn’t even slightly browned. Later during our meal I heard the girl telling the other guy making the pizza that someone else’s to-go pizza was also underdone. The cheese tasted funny, and it just wasn’t good. They were pretty heavy handed with the cheese too. I don’t know what happened to the old, tasty Red Boy Pizza. We will not be back for Red Boy Pizza. :(

This pizza place is AMAZE love love love redboys they are always so funny, cool, on top of it, and quick with the food it is by far the best service and pizza in all of marin and I have to admit my italian side has me a bit of a pizza snob and this place still takes the cake !!! PS get the«three little red boys» it is heaven in the mouth! Quite frankly am still having dreams about that appetizer!

pretty solid place to order delivery or takeout. nothing blew me away, but very solid. great stringy cheese that rubber bands from each slice as you pull it away. nice buttery crust with an appropriate amount of crunchiness. staff is very friendly. the Roma is my favorite. red boy special is good too, although I’m not the biggest fan of green onions on a pizza… found it to be a bit odd.

The pizza is at the lower end of OK, but the prices are absolutely outrageous. I’m taking into account that it’s in Marin. I’m taking into account that it has a snazzy logo. I’m taking into account that I gave the place like four tries too many just because I didn’t want to shortchange it. Well, Red Boy Pizza, consider yourself longchanged. I spent way too much dough on your sourdough crust – which one might expect to be strangely amazing but which is actually pretty weird-as-in-off and mediocre. Maybe someone somewhere can pull it off, but Red Boy cannot. Or at least they couldn’t once in 2012, twice in 2013, or twice this year. And they could be friendlier as well.

Pretty solid pizza, kids love it. Beats Stefano’s nearby and the other deliveries around larkspur and Corte Madera. Good crust, lots of cheese and good sauce. I was a skeptic, looked dodgy, but I’ve bought in.
