I haven’t had the waffles or breakfast here yet. But I stop by several times a week to pick up for takeout the lunch sandwich special and it is always superb, yummy, delish… whatever food accolade you can come up with these sandwiches are. This is definitely a place to try.

Fantastique! The nicest staff and killer atmosphere. The ham and gouda omlette is sooo good and the prices are super reasonable for travellers on a budget. We even splurged on Bavarian and lemon crème and we are so glad we did! Great atmosphere for Sunday brunch with friends, busy but able to converse under the skylights in a great space.

Might be the best breakfast I’ve ever had! The Bavarian Cram was off the charts. My wife loved the strawberry cream as well, and it was good, but the Bavarian cream… well I would eat tree bark if it was covered in that cream! Angel was our waitress. She was attentive and sweet, helpful to answer our questions, but not in your face which is perfect. Another server gave us some background info and told us how the restaurant began, which was pretty cool. She was really friendly too, but we didn’t catch her name. In all, super clean, fresh and delicious. Recommending to all of our friends, and can’t wait to come for a visit again!

Those waffles are DELICIOUS. I really appreciated that they teach people how to pronounce Liège Waffles and how they were different from the usual waffles we eat(the waffles themselves have a slight sweetness to them)! I had the Bacon, Waffles, and Cream(so good). My friends had a lamb sandwich and the salmon salad. We all had an incredibly delicious time. Such a great find in Las Cruces. If I ever pass by here again, you bet I will look this place up!

Gluten free pain perdu. That is all. It’s great to have such a yummy option. The waffles are indeed very small, but everyone left happy. The service was fine and the atmosphere is nice in the back rooms. The front room feels like a lobby and I don’t think I’d prefer to eat there.

Fresh and delicious. I love the waffles but the omelette are excellent. I had the burger once and it was a little soggy but good lol. The creams that come with the waffles are divine. My fave is the strawberry. Service is a bit slow at times. Once a worker who I think was a manager but not sure was really rude to a gentlemen that came in off the street who didn’t speak English .that bothered me bc it was in front of everyone in the waiting area and she could’ve handled it better. On the other hand our own service has always been great.

A very welcome addition to culinary challenged Las Cruces. Great establishment, relaxing ambiance, fantastic coffee(try the Colombian), and very good food. This is a nice alternative to the dominant local cuisine, which we all love, but change is good. I encourage the good people of Las Cruces to welcome growth and to support small business, especially one as high caliber as A Bite of Belgium.

Amazing breakfast! Gluten free options are incredible! Pain perdu is gluten free and completely delicious. It’s decadent, totally unhealthy, and definitely worth it. Do yourself a favor and make this your brunch spot!

This is a great little restaurant in Las Cruces New Mexico. I chose this restaurant to eat breakfast with my family who I was visiting. It’s an old house that’s been converted to a restaurant which makes it pretty neat because you eat in rooms and people are spread throughout the restaurant. This is nice because you don’t have to speak quietly and you could take an infant with no problem. The breakfast was fantastic. The waffles are Belgian style and do not even require syrup. I like crunchy stuff anyway so there’s waffles were absolute perfection being crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The restaurant has several types of cream cheese type creams that pair wonderfully with the waffles. The Bavarian cream was my favorite. An option you have at a Bite of Belgium is to create your own omelette. The omelette that was brought to our table had lots of ham plenty of fresh vegetables and all-around a great omelette. I’m looking forward to going back next time I’m in town to have another unique and delicious breakfast.

Food was about average. Price was the most attractive part of the whole experience. I was kind of disappointed with the size of the waffle. They’re more of a snack size then a breakfast food. They’re not a traditional waffle though. A little bight tougher and a lot sweeter than the typical. Different experience though not very filling.

Loved this place. Great atmosphere, wonderful service(thank you Amy!) and the food was delicious. That Belgium cream sauce though… I want to live in it.

A Bite of Belgium brings Las Cruces up out of the dark ages and elevates the local cuisine to a new standard. A Bite of Belgium is reminiscent of a French bistro at an affordable price. The quality of the made-from-scratch food is top notch. Everything served has always been consistently high quality, fresh and delicious. The menu offers that which is found nowhere else in Southern New Mexico. If you are tired of burgers & fries, do yourself a favor and go order something delicious from A Bite Of Belgium.

I was looking for this place in Palo Alto, CA. You know, home of insanely rich granola nutty people who drink chai frappé kola nut something something whatever and eat salad made out of things you pull up in your lawn. I figured a fancy-pants Belgian waffle place would have a chain outlet on every corner there. Instead, all I found was a Denny’s for those who drive Bentleys. Which means an IHOP clone with bigger parking spots and a menu with less grease on it. Good, adequate, comfortable, but not too adventurous or interesting or, well, not REALLY good by any stretch.(But kinda expensive.) So there I am in Las Cruces, NM, home of people who talk in short sentences, go to work every weekday, play with their kids when they get home, fix up the house and maybe do some hunting or hiking on the weekend, mow the lawn themselves, that kind of thing. Right there smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood chock full of those just plain people is this place. Which should be smack dab in the middle of Silicon Valley. But I’m glad it’s here. Friend Steve recommended the place as one of the best breakfast-lunch places in town(The Shed also came up). Good recommendation. Very attractive inside, clean and well-maintained. No counters, all intimate tables; no crazy colors, just white walls and stylish-but-calm tables and chairs under a few attractive decorations and pictures. Nice, comfortable and familiar music, but nothing you’d hear in an elevator or dentist’s office. This is NOT Denny’s(or Jason’s Café, for that matter). As soon as you get in the door, you’ll realize you won’t get out of there for the price of a Grand Slam, but you’ll also intuit that you’ll get what you pay for. And you will. I had a waffle topped with bacon and a crème fraîche-like whipped cream cheese topping. The waffles were lightly sweet and the savories made the sweetness pop ever so lightly. You don’t need no syrup. Very nice. Good fresh OJ; better-than-passable, if not tremendous, coffee. The server was professional but friendly and perfectly attentive(thanks, Amy!). Easy to find if you have your Garmin or Waze or whatever. Parking is a little curious, but that’s not why you’re there. Go there. Bring your wife for a nice, nice breakfast. She deserves it.(You don’t need to tell her you’re going there because you deserve it even more.)

Unbelievably delicious is the best way to describe this breakfast spot! I’ve been driving out west for the last few days and have been dying for some real food and couldn’t be happier that I found A Bite of Belgium out in the middle of New Mexico. The service is quick and polite, the food is unreal with how flavorful it is, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The breakfast potatoes are a must have! The only bad thing about them is that they will ruin breakfast potatoes from everywhere else!

Following advice from fellow Unilocalers, we tried A Bite of Belgium this morning. I had the special omelet with waffles and my wife had the same except for substituting spinach for sausage. We also ordered the Bavarian cream to taste. Well, Las Cruces has a new breakfast champ. We will return and try lunch also. The ambiance is wonderful, the service is great, the food is delicious and served at the proper temperature. Wonderful experience.

I’d like to leave two stars but the things that bother me about this place would fly under the radar for most and I would hate to see you go to eat at a chain restaurant instead. I ordered the special of the day. Omelette and waffles. The omelette with green chilies, onions, Gouda and ham. It comes with 2 of their liege waffles and a bit of salad. This special is, by the way, the same as one of their regular menu items with the addition of onions and chilis. I ordered mine without onions. Came with it anyway and you can try to pick them out but your food will still taste like onions. The omelette was good otherwise. I ordered coffee and it came with no refrigeration half and half packets. It should be served with fresh dairy. You should do better than McDonalds. Speaking of fake and dangerous food, my wife asked for syrup and whipped cream and got corn syrup fake maple and canned whip cream. I doubt you’d get canned whip cream in Belgium. The waffles are really dense. This type of waffle is supposed to be somewhat heavier than IHOP but these were so heavy they tasted slightly doughy. They aren’t proofed adequately. These are classically yeasted, by the way. The 90 minutes you are supposed to proof these would make them much lighter. This place has promise. So close. So far.
