I started going to Gecko Tans over 13 years ago.
Although I have moved away long ago, Gecko has always been my go to spot when visiting Las Cruces.
I most recently came in for a quick bed tan and spray tan for my high school reunion. Girl on staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. More than willing to explain how each bed works. As someone who has personally worked in the salon and spa industry for over a decade, I trust the equipment and facility here at Gecko Tans

Great salon! Friendly staff, awesome beds! The salon is clean, and the packages affordable! Happy Las Cruces had a tanning salon! All levels of beds, including spray tans!

The employees at Gecko Tans are AWESOME! Everyone there is so sweet and helpful. Got questions? Just ask them. Never tanned before? They will take you through it step by step. Can’t say enough about them and the products they carry. Top Notch all the way around!

As long as you realize this is Las Cruces, NM and not Las Vegas, NV, you’ll do OK at this place.
I gave it two stars because on 3 occasions one of the Mystic sprayers in the spray tan booth was clogged and only one spray nozzle worked.
(This will result in streaking unless you have a sponge roller.)
Gecko Tans does not use Mystic Tan solution but uses a cheaper California Tan solution which looks orange in Levels 2 and 3.
The premises is clean and the staff is friendly, that’s about it.

Phenomenal Staff! The girls working here were so sweet, they walked me out to my car w/​an umbrella since it was raining and they didnt want me to ruin my spray tan! The prices are beyond reasonable, $ 25 for one spray tanning season. The spray tanning booth is a little older, but again, for that price it was completely reasonable. Also, the salon is in the shopping plaza and not visible from the road, so pay close attention when trying to find it on your first visit!
