When I first walked in there was religious literature everywhere and they were playing religious music over the computer at the front desk. Which, I guess, is fine if you happen to be into that sort of thing. The doctor came out and asked me for paperwork, took my blood pressure and weight. We then went back to his office for two hours and proceeded to have one of the most bizarre doctor visits I’ve ever had. Highlights: my depression treatment would start with my buying a plant, taking red ginsing and reading the bible. Also, he said I was very attractive and needed a man. Also, I needed to see him every day for two hours a day. And he talked about 75% of the time which he told me was a new form on talk therapy where the therapist talks and the patient listens and you get faster results. An hour into the appointment I was gripping the arm rests so hard I thought I would break them off. So, yeah… This might work for some, but not for me.
