Ruby Red Nail Salon

Nailmergency avoided, thanks to Ruby Red! I was in Las Cruces for a conference and needed a professional intervention for my two-​week-​old gel polish. No one answered when I called and left a message, but I decided to pop over and take my chances. Glad I did — Ruby sat me down with Marina right away, and they took great care of me. Marina even gave me some great tips on where to eat and what to see while in town! I was in and out in just over an hour, and my nails look great. Would definitely recommend calling a couple of hours in advance — they were busy — but it’s worth the effort.

I have been searching for a reputable nail salon here in Las Cruces, NM since we moved here in December 2014. So many salons have very bad ratings especially for being dirty. I made the mistake by ignoring one bad rating for Happy Nails on Main Street. I went there anyway and boy was I sorry I did. It was disgustingly dirty and the guy who did my nails and toes was gross.
I told myself I will listen to the people who rate these places from now on.
As I continued to drive around town and check some salons out and then checking their ratings. I ran across Ruby Red Nail Salon. I drove by Ruby Red and then checked
for a rating or two. So, I called and talked to Paula made an appointment for today and I have to tell you, this place is awesome. The girls are so sweet and very qualified technicians, Paula (pedi) and Marie (acrylics). I finally found a clean, close and easy access nail salon.

I highly recommend Ruby Red!!! Every time I enter the door I am greeted by everyone. I followed my nail tech (Marina) to Ruby Red and I love coming here. It’s a great getaway after a busy week. Everyone is EXTREMELY friendly!!! I highly recommend Ruby Red!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

I was excited to see the many stars for this business. I called to make sure they accepted walk-​ins, but nobody answered. I decided to drive over and check it out. The door said appointments and walk-​ins, so I entered. It was packed. Probably 6 people looked up at me, but nobody said hello or asked if I needed anything. I saw there were chairs, so sat and waited to be helped. I had been there for about 10 minutes when another woman walked in. Two people said hello, and she walked right up to the only man and started talking with him about the color she wanted. I waited another 5 minutes (I assumed she had an appointment). People were sitting around at that point while different customers (who seemed to be very happy), were having their nails harden and dry in those machines. I left, and nobody said anything as I walked out. I was never even acknowledged. I guess you have to be a regular at this place. Too bad since I am a visitor from out of town and am leaving tonight. I wasn’t happy.

I started going to Ruby Red when they first opened their doors, and that was after trying ALMOST ALL other nail places in Las Cruces. I have never left Ruby Red. The staff is GREAT, Ruby herself is an EXPERT in her field and a perfectionist, so you will never leave hating your nails. You will not be disappointed.

I visited this salon based on the other Unilocal reviews since the other nail salons didn’t have much information. This isn’t a place I would go to again. The person who did my pedicure really didn’t seem to know what he was doing at ALL. Super disappointed with the service. But whatever the guy did for me as a pedicure, really was not one. I could tell from the start. If I knew what I was going to get into — I would have done a better job myself, especially for the price. Total rip-​off. I would suggest visiting other salons before coming here.
They are a friendly group of people though — so I will give them that. However, that doesn’t make up for the quality.
