Alice A Steampunk Concert Fantasy is by far the hottest and most amazing new show in Las Vegas. It is fresh, original and different from any other show you have ever seen. The fast paced show happens right in front of you on stage, in front of the stage, in the isle and in the back. It’s Alice. It’s Mad Max Steam Punk. It’s a story telling theatrical musical on steroids covering and altering some of the best songs we all know. The singing, the music, the dancing, the acting, the costumes and the choreography will give you an unforgettable experience. Hard to pick out anyone but Ashley Fuller and Anna Martinez killed it with their crisp clear beautiful voices and playful interaction. The dance scene with Ryan Kelsey and April Leopardi Anneberg was steaming hot and sexy. I love violin and Crystal Yuan mastered that to perfection playing it up to David Perrico on Trumpet. Adolfo Berreto is one crazy and hysterical funny white rabbit. To put the icing on the cake Eric Jordan Young ended the night with an amazing Broadway worthy performance as the Red King. The entire cast and band rocked it and I should be mentioning every ones name. Go see the show now when it is on a small stage and enjoy the locals only discount. It is worth every penny. This show should be a sold out show headlining on the strip with a $ 100+ ticket.

«Alice» show creator Anne Martinez has accomplished one of the toughest things to do in any business: Create something from nothing. It is hard enough to do, but in the business of «Show» today it is almost impossible. In Las Vegas it is even harder to do without the support of one of the big resorts. Yet with little to no tangible support(until this recent residency at the Hard Rock) Anne and company created the super-group BBR: Two Blondes and a Revolution. How did she do it? By recruiting blinding talent who were also willing to work as hard as she does. When I first saw Anne, I was astonished at her virtuosity as an artist. It is a fool’s errand to ascertain who is the best in any art form, but I asked people with decades of experience(including Broadway): Is there anyone you have worked with MORE talented or smarter than Anne Martinez? Answer(after pensive thought): «Nope.» Artists of the caliber and pedigree of Music Director David Perrico, keyboardist Otto Ehling, Violist Crystal Yuan, dancers April Leopardi and Claudia Mitria want to work with the best. They want to work with Anne. Now you can remunerate an artist in a package including many things: money, working environment etc. Or you can provide the privilege of working with the most talented people. The members of BBR are not the most talented in Las Vegas. They are among the most talented troupe assembled anywhere. Providing that experience for your troupe is what leadership is about. Anne has only been in Las Vegas 2 years but has already been a featured performer in Bite, Pin Up, Dancing Queen and currently Jubilee. But perhaps her biggest achievement has been as the creator of the courageous Alice: A Steampunk Concert Fantasy. After endless hours of rehearsing, scheduling and other thankless administrative work behind the scenes she has attained something elusive that pro musicians lust for: the respect of other musicians. Stunning arrangements by Perrico. Out of the box choreography by Ryan Kelsey and Claudia Mitria who also perform in «Alice». A highlight of the show is a shocking and spectacular dance sequence featuring Ryan Kelsey and April Leopardi(The Dutchess and Her Pepper Soup) that blurs the line between fantasy and near violence. When any BBR show begins, I am overwhelmed by the palpable greatness of talent on stage. The audience can sense it. But you can also sense the artists are excited to see what each other brings to the table that night resulting in performances you will never forget.
