Lucky for me, I hadn’t read Unilocal before having Bob do my roof work, because I may have overlooked him. I found him through another service. I had rats getting in my roof and scratching around at night as well as a long term leak which caused some paint to peel on the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. Not only did Bob and his assistant Ron patch up my entire roof over the course of a week, they also put rat poison in the attic and came back to remove some dead rats the following week. They also trimmed the overhanging tree branches. I found Bob to be courteous and reliable. I can’t speak for the other reviewers here, but mine has been a very positive experience and I would recommend Bob without hesitation. Really, you couldn’t meet a nicer guy.

I have tiles that fell from a peak and broke roof tiles below. Bob came out and had his worker go on the roof. First problem the worker smoked a cigarette on my roof! Bob emailed the estimate. I replied with a few concerns(I.e. The smoking worker and warranty) he never emailed back? Guess I’m going with another company.

Well, I *thought* I had found a good contractor to repair my leaking roof back in August of this year(2013). I paid Bob $ 450, and he told me everything was good to go. I, of course, believed him. Fast forward to November 2013(now). We’re having the first major rains since that storm in August. Guess what? The roof is leaking in the exact same two spots again, but this time they’re bigger and they’re worse. I don’t know what Bob did for $ 450, but he certainly didn’t fix my roof. What’s more, I had hired him through , a Home Depot company. I should’ve known better than to trust Home Depot for anything, especially since I’ve had issues with Red Beacon recommendations in the past. When Bob completed the project, he told me it wasn’t necessary for me to pay via Red Beacon. He said I could pay him directly. Again, silly me. I believed him. And now Red Beacon won’t back up the work. I reached out to Bob, and he finally did get back to me. He’s offered me absolutely no solution for the duration of this rainy period(except«put a bucket under it»). He claims he’ll come out when it’s dry to take a look. I find this interesting because he fixed my roof the first time during that big storm we had. I guess he walks on tile roofs when they’re wet if it serves his purpose. This time he’s not going to get any money out of it, so it’s not a priority. I imagine when he comes out he will have some story about how it’s something new. But it’s the exact same two spots, so that will be untrue. I hadn’t gotten around to painting over the 2 original stains, so I know for certain they’re the same leaks. Now they’re just bigger and darker. What’s likely to happen is that I’ll have to pay a real roofer to repair the problem. Then I’ll have to pay to have the drywall replaced and painted. Perhaps I’ll have to re-insulate that area as well. I’m not sure. But thanks to Bob, this simple repair is going to end up costing me thousands of dollars in addition to the $ 450 I’ve already paid him. By the way, Bob didn’t handle my call well. Sure, I’m upset. But I never once raised my voice. I was looking for solutions, like throwing a tarp over the roof until the rain storm passed. But Bob refused to do anything and sarcastically stated that he’d wait outside until the rain drops stopped. I couldn’t believe his attitude when he’s the one who’s at fault here. The situation hasn’t been resolved. Should it miraculously be resolved favorably, I will report back. Until then, Unilocalers beware of this guy. P. S. — «Bob Edwards Construction» is not a licensed contractor. He has a Clark County business license as a handyman. I’m not sure how a «construction» company can go without a contractor’s license…
