Bobby Wheat Gallery

I have travelled all around the world and have seen some amazing places. Bobby Wheat has captured many of those places through photography in a quality that is untouchable. Go into the Bobby Wheat Gallery and hear the stories on his adventures of getting to the locations to take the photos. His timing is planned and he spends hours and days waiting to get the perfect picture. I highly recommend a trip to see his work in Downtown Summerlin.

Art at Downtown Summerlin makes sense. This gallery is nice, but small. I went to check it out during an unveiling of some European photographs that was open to the public. Bobby Wheat was there mingling with the guests and explaining his photographs. His technique (involves complicated developing that was explained to me but I forgot the name)
is apparently not typically practiced and produces photographs with a vintage look that is very cool. The works are nature/​architecture oriented and I don’t think he had any Strip photographs, which may be a nice addition to the gallery.

Man, Bobby Wheat is awesome.
He not only creates beautiful images to show you in his knockout showroom/​gallery — he’s a super cool guy, to boot. I went into his gallery with my wife 2 weeks ago to just look around and he was a genuine pleasure to talk with. When I went back in there today to show my parents his work while we were waiting for our movie — he remembered my name! And I’m not even really a potential customer.
His Facebook page has lots of great advice for up-​and-​coming photographers and he is free to offer his story and chat with you.
He is a genuine good guy and his gratitude shows through in his work. I’ve met some ‘famous’ photographers who have either HUGELY inflated egos or who feel some odd need to put down other photographer’s work: Bobby has none of these issues.
He is grateful and humble and I recommend going in there to talk with the guy (yes, he’s so down to earth he works his own gallery!) or even to buy some art for your home or business. The quality is remarkable and you surely won’t be disappointed.
