This review is for the pool as a concert venue. If a band you want to see plays here, it’s worth going. If not, venue is not a place I’d go to see something random(like I sometimes do with Red Rocks). You will be standing on concrete(unless you fork over big bucks for cabana level). It will be hot(even in October it was in the 90s late at night). If you’re close to the stage you will be looking up as the stage is elevated. I came for Garbage’s 20th anniversary tour and it was totally worth it. Thoughts and tips: Get the advanced entry passes if you want to be close. If you want to see the show and don’t care about being close, try to get a room with balcony overlooking the pool. You can chill without the crowd and see the show.

They should really separate the pool reviews from the venue reviews because I assume the experiences are very different! Came here Sunday/Monday during the day and it is where I hope I go when I die. The surrounding Vegas hotels and the strip are all visible without encroaching on the pool, you’ve got the best house music playing at an amenable 6⁄10 volume and the best looking crowd I saw the entire time I was in Vegas(especially when it comes to men; it’s literally the only place I saw handsome men in every direction). Towel service was great, poolside pina coladas were abundant, plus you can order the fish tacos from overlook grill right at the bar. Stellar experience.

In my opinion, the pool area is pretty small to accommodate such a major resort. Heck, even the pool area at Luxor seemed bigger! Boyfriend and I took a mini staycation and stayed at the Cosmopolitan for Labor Day weekend. We cam down on Sunday around 11:30am ish and there were hardly any chairs left.(We did eventually find two chairs together about 10 minutes later. We got lucky since I scoped out two females leaving. You really gotta keep an eye open.) Before you tell me, «you snooze, you lose»…let me say this: I really don’t think it’s fair for people to «reserve» chairs while they wander off for 2+ hours. It should really be first come, first serve… with your PHYSICALBODY laying in that chair. I understand if you were going to reserve chairs while you go back upstairs to get something… go grab your to-go food order or have a friend join you within the next hour or so. But none of this«I’m going to put my shirt + towel on this chair at 8am and not return until after lunch.» Even worse… inconsiderate a$$holes who don’t even bother to pick up their own towels when they leave. They just leave it on the chair causing confusion for future guests. Pick up after yourselves!!! There are two pools here… one big one that’s considered their main pool and a smaller one. Their main pool is about 4 feet at its deepest and the smaller squared one is maybe around 3.4 ft at its deepest. There’s also a small hot tub. The food was okay. I’ve had better pool food elsewhere(Drais and Daylight comes to mind.) $ 12 for chips and guac. The Boulevard Pool is located closest to the East Tower.

There’s a pretty big crowd here for Labor Day weekend, but hotel staff is friendly and accommodating! Multiple levels at Boulevard makes for a great social setting for groups or a little privacy for couples. Feeling competitive — hit the foosball tables! Mist machines help manage the 100 degrees out there! Delicious specialty cocktails, too!

My boyfriend and I were staying at the Cosmopolitan in mid-August from a Saturday to Wednesday. I know from my research cabanas are expensive on the weekend days which makes sense, but I wanted to try on a weekday. We talked to the concierge and they had to call to get prices, and recommended we go to the pools to see what ambience/vibe we liked better. We picked Boulevard, less crazy than Marquee but more lively/larger than the Bamboo pool. We went to the info desk at Boulevard to inquire about prices for the next day and they gave us a card to call. Interesting. Person on the call was very nice and helpful and we booked for Tuesday. We loved that the cost of the cabana is all in consumables, and we picked the upper level smaller cabana(just us 2) for 200(plus tax & gratuities for a total of 261). We had a GREAT server, Laura, super cute, friendly, attentive and seemed to love her job. She was just awesome. Her relief Devin(probably spelling it wrong) was also super sweet, she was similarly attentive and nice. We had fun racking up $ 200 in food and drinks, mostly drinks since the heat squashes our appetite. We had breakfast(breakfast sandwiches, an awesome fruit plate with small dish of french vanilla yogurt, regular coffee), and later had the salmon hand rolls(replaced one with tuna) which were great and then blue crab lettuce cups that were pretty good. We also got chips and salsa which they replenished, nice! The drinks were fun, some more sweet than others and there were a few food/drink items we only had half of since we had the 200 to spend, might as well get what you like. We both loved the Tequila Mockingbird(margarita) and Stubborn Mule(moscow mule) drinks. The cabana itself was perfect for 2 people, maybe 3, but it would have been tight for more. There are two designated lounge chairs in front so that would help spread it out. There is a flat screen TV so we had that on most of the time. A fridge with ice, waters was nice, plus there was a safe just like in the rooms. In terms of temperature, it would get a little hot as the breeze would shift, but once the spritzer things came on on the two open sides of the cabana that would help. The lounge chairs were nice but often in the sun, and we are both pale and I moved to a more shady area. It was super quiet to they let me use a lounge chair at the cabana next door. It was a little bit of a trek to the pool, but it was refreshing, definitely more populated with the 20s-30s Vegas crowd, but likely subdued from Marquee. Totally reserve a cabana on an off-day! It was one of my trip highlights for sure.

I’ve been here multiple times for the pool and various events(mostly concerts, their Ice Rink attraction, and once, the annual AFAN B&W party). For concerts and large galas, it’s a terrible venue. The walking space is limited and very crowded and unfortunately, you’re not allowed in the several pools during these events. Also, it’s always really hot! The only reason I keep coming back is because of the artists and the inexpensive ticket prices. Tickets are sold on their website through Ticketmaster/Live Nation or at the hotel box office(next to the Front Desk) and offer mobile tickets/check-in. This is has been very convenient. We’ve seen Foster The People(2011), Neon Trees(2014), Fall Out Boy(2014), and Of Monsters and Men(2015). Great shows, shitty crowds. Get ready for drunken idiocy, open drug usage, and a lot of secondhand smoke in a tight space. Although being outdoors, there is very little air movement that makes it so unpleasant if you hate inhaling any type of smoke. Anyway, the music sounds great and I love the streaming video on the hotel’s large screen marquee(it usually shows advertisements). The bar is always crowded with people just hanging out, so it’s a battle to get through. I believe the hot dog cart/taco stand is always there during shows next to the main bar. I’ve yet to partake, but will report back when I do. Basically, there’s nowhere to sit during the concerts. Which is not unusual. People do sit on the ground around the edge of the pool with their feet in the water, but you’re basically watching the screen since you can’t see the stage from there. During the winter months, The Ice Rink comes alive and is pretty great. A much better and more relaxed atmosphere. I try to come out at least once or twice during that time because I love the outdoor fire pits and winter cocktails. Full review on its Unilocal page. The pool itself is nice. Well, it’s nice when it opens(8AM). It’s a totally different scene from the advertised day club atmosphere. The water is calm, clean, and relatively empty. You can snag one of the highly coveted lounge chairs on the main pool. Lack of loud music. Get here before 8AM and beat the crowd(yes, there’s actually a crowd this early). We arrived at 8:09 and almost all of the main pool chairs were taken. Granted, there are not that many since most of the main pool is surrounded by daybeds($$$$). The pool has a large wading area and a decent-sized space that maxes out at 4ft 8in. So, apparently people show up at 8AM to «reserve» these first come, first serve chairs and just leave. We know this from experience: There were towels on a couple chairs, but no one around, so we asked nearby patrons just to verify and everyone said they were vacant. We placed our belongings on the chairs/table and headed to the water. An hour later, we witnessed someone moving our things, so I rushed out of the pool. The lady was really upset and I explained that I didn’t want to cause any trouble and that I’d move, which we did immediately(although difficult to find new chairs at this hour). Within minutes, she came by to apologize for her behavior. The best part of this whole situation? This woman left AGAIN to dine at the Outlook Grill. So, just to recap; this group came, saved chairs, and left the pool, all before 8:09AM. Then, returned an hour later around 9:07AM to make a big fuss just to LEAVETHEPOOLAGAIN. The chairs were still vacant when we left the pool at 9:45AM. WTF. This can’t be okay. We would have come and gone before they even needed the chairs and everyone would’ve been fine. Instead, we had our lovely morning ruined by faux ownership of chairs!

We were in town for EDC and staying at the Cosmopolitan. The pool was our rehab after a night in the desert partying. Well at least that was the plan… We got down about 10 am both days, claimed our layout beds, ordered some healthy fruity non alcoholic drinks and took a short nap. Two hours later a party broke out and the place was almost as packed as the speedway the night before. Fun crowd, glad we got down when we did, fills up fast… Hilarious to see the looks on the groups of people coming down at 1pm thinking there were going to find a place to lay when there was hardly any place to stand or dance Wait staff busted their buts and did a great job of keeping us hydrated.

Really cool place to check out a concert in Las Vegas. Outdoors on the pool deck with all of Vegas around you. Kind of surreal. I wouldn’t hesitate to go to a show here again. Most of these show would seem to be GA and Standing Room only. No Worries here I am okay with that. I would recommend one thing. That is if you are going to drink. Drink before the show somewhere else it is bound to be cheaper. Tall beers 16 here and mixed drinks 13… ouch someone is making a killing. That is my biggest complaint about this place is the price of alcohol, and the fact it is not posted anywhere. pre and post drink else where. Otherwise enjoy the show.

Every time we stay at the Cosmo, we come down to the Boulevard Pool for usually a couple of hours, if not the whole day. The first time we hit the pool, they allowed us to get a day-bed for a measly $ 150 minimum food/drink spend(we ended up spending $ 300). Lots of pretty people, a decent food and drink menu and one of the few pools on the actual strip. They have TV’s, pool tables, and foosball tables. There are cabanas too but I don’t think they are worth the spend personally…

Located at The Cosmopolitan, this pool has it all. Sun-Thurs you don’t even have to be a guest to get in. Located on the 4th floor with views of the strip, it has a huge bar, an ice cream shop hidden around the corner, and a covered area with tvs to watch the games. On Mon nights during the summer they play movies as well. My fav pool in Vegas. For the ultimate experience. Rent a cabana that only cost food and beverage credit.

Awesome pool! If you like the Vegas strip landscape, you should seriously considering going to a concert at night at this pool. Planet Hollywood, Bellagio, and Aria are literally right there in your face and they look spectacular. Drinks are super pricey obviously. $ 13 gets you a VERY small amount of vodka and cranberry. The bartenders are not entirely sociable either. All in all, come here for the sights, not for the drinks or sociable staff: P

A few things to know about this particular pool: The pool brings out a fun crowd that changes from the morning through the afternoon. There are a lot of people who come to this pool and a lot of fun people watching Make sure to get to the pool early if you want chairs because they run out rather quickly. We actually got there right at 7:45 in the morning to hold six chairs for a big group of people. The food is pretty good. I ate a falafel sandwich which was pretty good. The drinks are pretty expensive. The options are all fun drinks and are very creative. The cabana right along the water are requiring $ 500 worth of food and drinks. I believe the larger cabanas are in the thousands somewhere. I would go back to this pool at a later date. It was not too crazy of a party but it was enough to have some good people watching.

Great place to see a concert, not a great place to get drinks or food at a concert. I wish the bartenders were faster!

Not the party pool that I thought it would be. We got a cabana on the upper level for a girls trip recently and while it was good, and the service was fantastic,(Chris our cabana boy was super cool), it didn’t have that vegas party vibe we were looking for. Mind you, it was about half the price of the Marquee Dayclub cabanas so that’s probably why. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still easy to over consume, and dance, and meet some cool people, but there’s no DJ and nothing else happening. You pretty much have to make your own fun. And the stairs down to the pool were more difficult to navigate as the day went on. The food was outstanding and the drinks just kept coming. But so did the bill. I had a massive hold on my credit card that takes days to clear so if you’re splitting the cost with other people, think twice about leaving your card for the deposit.

I feel like this is one of the better places to have a concert in Vegas. Not only do the best bands seem to come here, but the actual set up of the venue is pretty smart. The downward slant of the area makes it so that even people in the back can still see and hear the band on stage. I have been both at the very back and very front of a concert, and while being towards the front was obviously more fun, both were great spots to watch the show. If it’s a smaller show, they will sometimes leave water in the pool so you can dip your toes in and enjoy live music. My only grip is how uncontrolled the line can be while you’re waiting. While it’s managed pretty well at the front, people towards the back will often push, shove, and try to cut you by any means necessary. This may not be something the venue can fix, but it’s definitely worth looking into, in my opinion.

I’ve been to the pool a few times now, for 2 concerts, and then the Margarita festival last night. I’m going to write the review based on last night’s experience, since the concerts were a while ago. We arrived early, and the security guards outside the pool were super helpful and friendly. They directed us to will call, and then chatted until the doors opened. The layout of the pool is great for events and concerts. Last night there were tables set up ALL over the place with drinks, and a food station too. Everyone that we encountered that worked there was polite, and kind. The crowd was chill, and really fun… we made a ton of new friends last night. I will come back for more events here, if I have to opportunity to do so.

My review is regarding an evening summer concert; specifically Dilated Peoples/J5 on July 17th. Let me preface this by saying that I haven’t been to a hip hop show in a very, very, VERY long time. Most of issues with these shows have to do with how cramped things can get, shitty attitudes from overly aggressive attendees, and not being able to see a damn thing(GA seating is unkind to those who are 5′ 2″). With that said, this venue seemed to present itself as the beacon of hope for what can be. The Boulevard Pool was very easy to access. Those going straight to a show should park in the East Tower(or stay in the West Tower and make my life easier). Sidenote: It’s perfectly located on the third floor near all the restaurants that have Happy Hour on weeknights, making for perfect pre-show festivities. The venue is on the third floor just past the restaurants. It was very quick and easy to get through security and I was surprised to find the stage practically in front of me when I got in. That’s the first counter to my issues: elevated stage. It didn’t really matter where anyone stood because the well elevated stage and very large screen made it possible to see everything. The rooftop venue was phenomenal. I remember thinking, «wow, I’m watching live UNDERGROUND hip hop on a ROOFTOP.» There was a wonderful breeze going through so it never felt stuffy or cramped. What was cool was the the pool area remained partially opened for use. I don’t know if the prior lent to the crowd but the audience was great; positive, upbeat, and energetic despite it being a weeknight. Now, getting out of the venue is another story. The parking lot was quickly backed up and almost stalled but the staff worked quickly to direct traffic. I love the venue and look forward to attending more shows!

Although drinks are absurdly priced, if you’re here to see a show, at least the tix are decently priced. I mean $ 16.50 for a Miller Lite tall boy or step it up to a Modelo for $ 18. Don’t drink alcohol, no worries, they’ve «got your back» w/$ 11 for a Fiji big bottle or $ 6 for a plastic cup w/soda stuffed w/ice. Okay so I think you get the point, drinks are pricey. Now what makes this venue awesome… first, tix prices are always really reasonable(imo). Second the sound quality is never a let down. They get some of the best bands and performers to come through. The venue itself is all around awesome. Tons of comfy seating throughout. There’s also the pool side for you to kick off your shoes and get your toes wet, if they know how to swim. If not, now worries, there’s usually a lifeguard on duty. When you walk all the way to the rear you get some of the best strip views, almost as good as from Château just not as high. There’s definitely plenty of room to not feel confined. The eats ARE more reasonably priced. I like the grilled sausage(no homo). The Neapolitan Ice Pop shop, when open, is worth every penny. They have these real fruit and alcohol infused pops that are amazeballs. When allowed over there, there’s another area w/great views and more seating. There’s a pool table over there too. If you’re pool side on a regular day they also have foosball, a pool table and TVs w/game consoles hooked up. Definitely a chill spot to kick it. The service is good and the employees at the pool are always friendly.

Fabulous venue for a concert! It was my first time seeing a show here. During the day it is their pool. At night they drain half of the pool for part of the general admission standing area. The great thing about this is you can get as close to the stage as you want. The closer you are to the stage, the more packed in like a sardine you’ll be. Even standing back about 100 feet, we had plenty of space with a great view! You can even sit with your legs in the pool and enjoy the show if you’d like! A few people had enough liquid courage to jump in after the show was done. They have a few different bars for your drinks. It’s your typical venue pricing for those. But there was also a food area without the Cosmopolitan prices! Nice! I love the smaller venues. The Boulevard Pool is a great place under the stars to watch your favorite bands. Enjoy the show!

If you’re looking for late afternoon sun, this is not the pool for you. Because of the location of this pool, the surrounding buildings block most of the sun later in the day. We arrived around 3:30pm and by that time the pool was completely shaded. We were able to chase the sun around until about 5:30 on the various pool decks, but after that there was no hope. The atmosphere however was quite nice, and the lounge chairs were super comfortable and plentiful. Music was playing over the speakers at a perfect volume– loud enough to hear from all around, but quiet enough to still hold a conversation. There were also some nice looking lounge chairs in the pool itself, but I didn’t check them out since my main goal was catching some rays! And probably the best part about this pool is that they allowed us to bring in our outside drinks as long as we poured them into one of their cups at the entrance!
