Did the bubble run this morning with my husband, son and friends from work. The good company I had made up for how awful the actual run is. Poorly organized just zigzagging around the parking lot of Sam Boyd stadium. The surroundings were boring. There were fewer bubble stations than I expected and thank goodness because there was so much bottlenecking at them that it made it impossible to get through. People stopping to take selfies, kids stopping to play in the bubbles, etc. It might work better if they had two lanes… one for stopping and one for walking or running straight through. At one of the bubble stations a gate had fallen below the suds and my friend and I tripped on it! The kid manning that station did a horrible job warning us and we tried to get around people who were just stopped playing, which is when we fell. The parking was 10 dollars(to park on dirt and gravel). Luckily a friend has an apartment nearby so we parked at her place and walked. The traffic control around the general area after the race was awful… cars weren’t yielding to pedestrians in crosswalks and the pedestrians were coming in droves, so it’s no wonder cars wanted to plow us down. I won’t sign up for this run in the future.

Why Bubble Run? Why? Why did you have to move the 5k course from Downtown to Sam Boyd Stadium? Let it be known that when I participated in the 2014 Bubble Run, the course was held in Downtown Las Vegas. All the negative reviews are about the 2015 Bubble Run held at Sam Boyd, and justly so. ALL5ks held at Sam Boyd suck. Registration included a white cotton unisex t-shirt with the Bubble Run logo. Too bad my logo wasn’t centered on the shirt and there were only XLs left when I picked up my packet! :/ The best thing about running the Bubble Run was running through mountains of bubbles! About 3 – 4 bubble machines were placed throughout the course and were framed by an inflatable arch. The bubble mountains that were created were about 6 — 7 feet tall, so that runners were completely engulfed in bubbles as they ran under the archways. Kind of scary but also very fun! Much to my disappointment, I refrained from participating in the 2015 Bubble Run exactly because it was held at Sam Boyd. This location is simply not conducive to the makings of a successful 5k fun run. TIP: Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from Bubbles :) Unilocal100CHALLENGE2015: #63

Worst race I have ever done, and I have done a lot. Started late. Horrendous«course» if you call zig zagging around a dirt parking lot a course. Bubble equipment was not working properly. Will NEVER do again.

It was awful! Sam Boyd! Really! Did they not think about the mud with the bubbles? Or all of the people with the strollers going through the dirt. They just slowed everyone down. Yes it’s a fun run, but the people that run would still like to run. It’s kind of hard when you have strollers stuck in the mud and you have no room to go around them. The web page said it was downtown. I never would have signed up if I knew it was at Sam Boyd.

PROS: +Price. You’re really not going to find many 5Ks for $ 20. +You get a shirt, headband, and temporary tattoo. +Kids participate free with a paid adult! +Bubbles galore! CONS: –The low price is a heads up that it’s not well organized by pros. –Packet pickup the day before was a mess –Route is zigzagged through the parking lot surrounding Sam Boyd Stadium. –80% of the participants are kids under 3 feet tall and they were not being appropriately supervised
