Carol is a true professional and a caring, compassionate individual. When we started marriage counseling a year ago we were both skeptical not knowing what to expect. I’m happy to report that since then we have had many breakthroughs in our relationship. We went from near disaster to happier than we’ve ever been as a couple. I can honestly say that Carol helped saved our marriage. I really appreciate that her approach is backed by science. Yes, learning to confront our feelings was hard and at times exhausting, but it was more than worth it.
I would highly recommend her to anyone. If you are struggling in your relationship or even thinking about divorce please give your relationship a chance and go see Carol first. For us it has made all the difference in the world.

We can only describe our therapy experience with Carol Cathey as AWFUL. My wife and I went to her for marital counseling, and it was then that we discovered true incompetence. This woman has very little empathy, and she can’t handle anyone bickering or getting angry. We left every session (after the 1^st) feeling worse than when we went in. When we tried to explain to her that she wasn’t helping us and how to serve us better, she became very irate and defensive and forced us to leave her office with no explanation before the session was even finished. (She literally threw the door open and ordered us to leave.) Of course, that was our last session. Do yourself a favor, don’t subject yourself to this woman or her abuse. She desperately needs her own counseling and, in my opinion, won’t help you in the long run.
