Cimarron Apartments

I’ve been living here for over a year now and much like the other poor reviews have had issues with theft. Not only was a scooter of ours stolen from the parking lot, our unit was broken into while we slept; we thought we were safe on the second floor but the person climbed over the balcony and came in through the sliding glass door and stole some electronics from us. We were told when we moved in that the alarm key pad next to the door could only be activated if we paid extra; we were only told after we were robbed that we could have it at least alarmed to make noise. Granted it is a new office manager and that may be the difference. Our place constantly smells like marijuana from the people downstairs smoking at all hours and the smoke coming up through the vents. We’ve told the office and they can’t do anything unless we call the security unit and have them come and document it even though they’re never actually on property. We have a drug dealer living next door that has people coming and going at all hours. The gate at the front to drive through has broken 9 out of the 13 months we’ve lived here. We also have people parking in our assigned spot and have been told that other residents «sell» spots monthly to other people. Can’t wait to get out!!! Believe me I used to think this place was great :(

My husband and I took a chance on these apartments without even seeing them. We moved from CA and it had to be quick due to employment. We absolutely picked the best complex! Apartment work orders get fixed ASAP, the staff is friendly, the property is clean, pool is awesome, perfect Fitness Center & Aerobic Studio, and it’s beautiful here. Monthly events like breakfast at the gate as you head out to work, pizza nights, gingerbread house making during Christmas time, etc. Location could not be more convenient. Just renewed for another year!

We moved here 7 months ago and heard that an apartment was broken in by thieves and we thought this was an isolated situation. Now that our apartment got broken in or robbed by scumbags thieves. We found out that this has been happening a lot and is a common situation. We are seriously wondering where is the security in this «gated community.» The apartment across from ours also got broken in at the same time!!! Where is the management to resolve this very important issue that has been happening for a long time. The Cimarron management needs to resolve this by hiring a reliably security company and give their tenants a reassurance that this is a safe place to live!

Under new management! I’ve lived here for 2 years, and just renewed my lease for a 3^rd.
The changes from new management seem to all be pretty awesome; the gym is the best I’ve ever seen in an apartment complex. It’s actually useful and not just a sad treadmill and inoperable pulley-​and-​lever infernal device. It was clearly designed by people that actually work out for realzies, and it even features a yoga/​pilates/​dance-​athon room with mirrors. And it’s clean!!!
They do a great job of maintaining the grounds, which are a beautiful and relaxing oasis in this wacky desert we call home, and any maintenance request gets taken care of shockingly fast. Like «walking back to your apartment from the office and the maintenance guy beats you there» fast.
The new owners have a lot more strict policies in place than the previous ones, who were very lassiez-​faire about most things. But so far, I’m not thinking that’s a bad thing, since previous summers we had a «rando neighborhood jerk children invading and then vandalizing our pool» problem. So if a few stricter policies keep the furniture out of the shallow end… I’m all the happier.

I’ve lived here for almost 2 years. When my wife and I moved in, things seemed good at first. Unfortunately they soon fell apart. The apartments were purchased by a new company, and since then things have been exceptional! We renewed about 8 months ago because of the great new mangement. The maintenance Manager Geno is probably the best maintenance tech I’ve ever had the luxury of knowing. Thanks for all the help Geno, you’re the best!

If you enjoy an easy going, socially polite, drama free living, this place IS NOT FOR YOU. On multiple accounts, the young lady in the front office acted out in such a way, as a bystander observing, that was not only disrespectful to a friend resident of mine, but also unreasonably demanding. Do not move here!

Lived here for 2 years. As I am not extending my lease in Sep. I wanted to write a review.
Cimarron apartments are very nice. They have the basic problems that a lot of apartments had but I’m going to list things that I liked and things that I disliked.
When we first moved in, we were charges a flat rate. A lot of apartments can no longer do this so we thought it was a steal. After our first year, new management came in and said that our flat rate amount was now our base rent. We had to add on a pet fee and water, trash and sewege. This increased our amount past our budget. With no time to find another apartment, we sucked it up and stayed for one more year.
Some things that I liked is that the staff was always very friendly to us. They even apologized for the increase in rent and tried to get us a better deal. The pool is beautiful! It’s always nice and clean when it is open. Also, the gym is open 24 hours which allows you to work out whenever you want.
Now somethings that I didn’t like. Please note that I am a downstairs tenant. I can hear EVERYTHING upstairs. If you are looking for a 1^st floor apartment, please keep it in mind. The price that we are paying right now is for a luxury apartment. We don’t have the upgrades so I wish they wouldn’t have charged us so much, what can you do though. There isn’t a huge bug problem on the inside but there is on the outside. I can’t even use my patio because of all the spiderwebs. It’s pretty sad. We also were placed where we are because they said in the beginning that it was facing the best way for satellite TV. Forgot to mention the tree blocking our view. Again, not their fault. Just a gripe.
If you have the budget and want a roommate style apartment, this is a nice quiet neighborhood and the staff are very lovely. However, make sure you know which questions to ask. We settled for a downstairs apartment because they told us originally that we would barely hear anything. Now I can hear conversations that my upstairs neighbors are having through my bathroom ceiling (awkward!). But, like I said: if it’s in your budget? Go for it :)

What apartment complex maintenance staff come and fixes something in your unit and asks the tenant to barrow some tools? Oh wait mine. Yep that’s right there is a maintenance staff here giving us a new garbage disposal and asked my husband for a screw driver. I know it sounds silly but I think he should come prepared with his own tools and not ask us. He said he came from another complex but that’s no excuse. There is no reason why he couldn’t radio another maintenance member to bring him what he needs. On top of that he leaves and says he’s done and tells me to have a great day. So I go in there and see and he left all my all my shit out and left screws on the floor that my dogs can easily consume and die. So I call the leasing office and let them know what happen and they said I’m sorry I’m sorry. I then I asked them if they want a lawsuit? They then told me let me get a hold of him. So he comes back and tells me I was just going to gets some rags. He only said that because maintenance sent him back. Already heated I told him that you can’t leave a mess like this and screws on the ground. I told him to hurry up and get out and if you can’t do your job right then you shouldn’t have this job. I’ve never had such bad service in my life.

I have recently moved in August. Tami was of great help in the process to moving into my new home. She was extremely helpful with calling me and touching base as I had two jobs and was hard for me to stop by.
In the couple months I have lived here, I recommend everyone who is looking for a home. My view from my apartment is great. Tami did such an amazing job with showing me around. They have remodeled the outside of the apartments, and are currently working on the office but are still open. Very very sweet people in the office.
There are two very helpful Tami’s & another girl named Christina. For the first couple of months I was going to them so often that they remembered my apartment number! Always very nice & glad to help. Love this place. I was very lucky to have found this place.

Since I move in these apartments they have been great. They always fix the issues within the same day or the very next day. They are attentive and making sure everything you request is done. Every time I walk into the office they have a smile in their face and always willing to help. I move from a very bad apartment to the point i had to contact the regional manager because they weren’t doing I requested and it took a month before they came by to look at the issue. Here these apartment are wonderful it feel great coming home and you want to walk around and have a relaxing night. Its always very clean and well kept they make sure if there is any noise they will get to issue and make they take care of it. The staff is always friendly and very nice Kristina is the nicest employee I ever met she always makes sure she follows up with you and make sure any issue it gets done. I could say the reason these apartment are great because they have Kristina. One last thing the maintenance is great always professional and very quick and very accurate with any problems. If you move in here you won’t regret it.

This was the WORST living experience ever. There was a lot of cockroaches there. Other people came and parked in my parking spot while I paid money for that spot. Also the office did not do anything when we called them. The maintenance was VERY VERY POOR! Once they came and tried to fix something it broke right after they left. Every year these people increase the amount due and the service gets worse every time. But the worst part about this living experience was that when we moved they charged us A LOT when we did not break any thing in that house. We should be charging them! Also they were talking very rudely with us especially the manager!!!

I trashed the pool, but it’s stlill cool! :D

This was one my worst living experiences by far. The maintenance men were jerks from the jump. I parked my scooter in the future resident parking over night in the morning I found that the maintenance man had stuck a violation sticker right across the gas/​mileage display. Three months after living there a couple moved in directly down stairs that would argue nightly. The police were called out on multiple occasions. Management did very little to control the noise issue. I complained several times. I later learned surrounding neighbors complained to management as well, much to no avail. The arguing went on for the remainder of my 13 month stay at the Cimarron Apartments. There are a slue of other events that took place I just haven’t the time to list them all. Initially I thought I lucked up on a good location. Once the dust settled I realized I was wrong. Virtually every month I had to put in a maintenance request. Sometimes they would respond promptly occasionally I would have to wait days and even up to weeks before my request was fulfilled.
