I reread the reviews before posting this and the negative ones were about the staff – and I think that’s probably the main issue. When and if you actually get to speak to Craig he seems pretty cool but…
The office is run more like a business than a medical office; they are either unwilling or incapable of hearing your side of an issue and addressing it. I sent them two letters about a nominal charge on my bill which I felt was offset by their mistake and never received a response – just another bill which I finally just paid and I am moving on. For $ 25 they lost a patient that is pretty communicative and would promote anyone he liked.

We got off to a bad start. I moved from LA where I had a wonderful internist for over 30 years and I knew I might have to wait a bit at a new office. I waited 50 minutes on my first visit before they came out and told me they were completing my insurance. When I mentioned that they’d had it for 2 weeks this was their response:
«Would you like to reschedule?» (Seriously? I just waited almost an hour.)
«That’s how we do it here.» (We wait til the day before).
«We could not read your fax» (You have my phone no, right?)
Nonetheless I had my physical and blood work. For some reason no PSA was performed and I had to go back to Quest a second time. Weingrow’s office said it was ordered; Quest said it wasn’t. So it goes.
Then I tried to pay online through my bank. The check came back because the address on the bill was their future address. I informed them that I would bring a check on my next visit, which I did a week later. They decided to bill me $ 25 for a «bounced check.»
No amount of explanation could ever make them or their accountant comprehend that no check had bounced. As courtesy I had told them on their email form that the post office had returned it because the address was wrong. What I explained, in two letters, in person and online, never got through.
So i ended up owing them $ 25 for a visit they required to refill 3 prescriptions. I explained the issue with the check in my correspondence and suggested we call it even. When they sent me the same bill a 3^rd time without the courtesy of a response, I paid it and that is it.
Finally I did have them handle a personal matter for for which they charged me $ 50 but for which I was grateful. I left a card and chocolates and no one ever thanked me for that or responded. Amazing.
I am over this place and moving on (as they once suggested I might). When treated properly I am the world’s best client and advocate but when not respected I write reviews like this.
I think Craig’s main practice is weight loss and I suspect he’s good at it and I can see a number of great reviews here — so fine.
But I need a physician’s office that is responsive to my concerns, treats me correctly and communicates effectively and that has simply not been my experience.

Dr Weingrow could not be further from my house. BUT– he is worth the time, traffic, and the many other things I could be doing had I found a dr closer to home out in Anthem. I was his patient before he moved his office and always loved his MA, Mariecxy, who thankfully transferred too She has remembered my name since day 1 & we could talk forever when she brings me back to the room. Dr Weingrow is very personable & very easy to talk to. Both Christine & Carmela now works at the front desk & they can make your entire visit pleasurable just be the way you are greeted whether you call or walk through the front door. Such sweet girls! Jessica, the front office supervisor & Teresa is so nice & always approachable for anything I might need.
Like I said, he’s not even in covered my insurance & I drive an hour or more to see him.
Highly recommended.

I found Dr. Craig Weingrow in the Las Vegas Weekly magazine, being that I had tried the weight loss combination before so I knew it worked .
And yes I know it’s about eating right and not going out eat so you can write more and more Unilocal reviews! Sometimes you just need a little helper to get the fire going.
When I initially made the appointment I was asked to show up 15 minutes early to fill out paper work, are you kidding me I’ll be late for my own funeral. I did show about 5 minutes early, the staff did greet me when I came in and was asked to sign in when I walked in.
They had two different sign in sheets one was for the weight-​loss clinic and the other was for the green clinic, and of course I had to ask what the green clinic. It’s too get a medical marijuana card. (Note too self: remember this for future use!) Honestly for medicinal purposes medical marijuana is a great thing for pain management. Glad to see it is offered here.
So after signing in on the correct form, the wait was less than the time it took me to fill out the medical history paperwork. I paid up front for the program which included an EKG one months supply of medication for $ 150.00 and I was offered B-​12 shots $ 50.00 which you need to take one a week either at the office or you can choose to do it yourself. So if you have a fear of needles plan on coming back weekly! Their is also a $ 3.00 charge if you decide to use plastic instead of cash. So $ 203.00 is not really a bad deal considering the Dr. I went to before for relatively the same thing, I think I covered a Mercedes car payment for that month…
I was called up and taken back where I was weighed and then taken to a private room where I had my blood pressure checked and then had an EKG done. I had recently had an EKG done for my employment about 3 months ago so I knew what to expect for this one. The facility in the back area was clean and well lit.
I met with Dr. Craig Weingrow, very nice guy and he looks just like his picture in the ad that I originally found in the Las Vegas Weekly.(which I’ll post when I’m done with the review.)
After the initial introduction I was asked what I desired to lose weight-​loss wise, he explained step by step instruction on taking the medications, the B-​12 shots and what modifications I will need to be doing to get me on the right track.
I hope this helps anyone who is contemplating using Dr. Craig Weingrow for your medical needs. He is more than just a weight-​loss doctor and I feel you should think of him as such.
Oh and the staff, I didn’t run into any of the problems previous Unilocalers had mentioned about them. We all have off days and unfortunately some people go to the extreme on their reviews. Yes I get it is a business and yes you need to have competent people working for you, but those staff that don’t get it will work their way out of the equation…

I just finished my appt at Craig Weingrow’s office and I had a great experience! The office is clean, I didn’t have to wait long, and Dr. Weingrow was very kind and thorough in the evaluation. I’m doing a 30 day weight loss plan. Starting weight is 135 and my goal weight is 120. I will post my results in 30 days!!! :)

Thanks so much Dr. Weingrow & staff I have lost 18 lbs. Teresa told me about the b-​12 shots which I love, I also saved 10 $ by bringing my sister. Medical assistant was nice and explained my blood pressure.

Doctor, great. Staff, not great… at ALL. My concern here, is that only few employees know what the heck they’re doing. Medication refills called in hours prior to pick up and after ensuring it would be ready by pick up time should be ready AT PICK UP TIME, right? RIGHT?!? Dr. Weingrow is a great doctor, but his staff NEEDS better communication skills. I shouldn’t have to wait 50 minutes for a refill that was approved 4 HOURS before hand.

Way overbooked. Waited an hour and a half for my refill consult. No option to refill without an appointment. No evening hours. Not even a thank you when I paid. Don’t know if I’ll be back.

I found Dr Weingrow through a friend and I’m glad I did. His staff is super friendly, which is a huge plus. There’s nothing worse than going to see your pcp and the front desk puts you in a bad mood. He is very straight forward and willing to help. What else could you ask for in a primary care?

I saw Dr. Weingrow for a Second opinion on a Health issue, since I was not happy with my Primary Care Doctor. Dr. Weingrow literally spent 20 minutes with me asking me a host of questions, then offering a plan of attack to create wellness. I Highly Recommend this Doctor!

Went to dr. Weingrow and very happy with my visit. Straight to the point dr and more than willing to help his patients, A huge difference in the other weight loss centers that I have been to. His staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel very welcome! Also, it’s a clean and professional place (It’s actually located in a med spa.) Overall I’m very pleased with my visit and am excited to see what my outcome will be!

Dr Weingrow is great. He’s helped me with some joint and exercise pains. I much prefer his care over another Orthopedic «specialist» I saw. It is hard to find good doctors in Las Vegas. His staff was able to squeeze me in once on short notice as well. Thanks guys

I have been seeing his PA for 2 months now and she is amazing. Always happy and upbeat, giving positive encouragement. All the staff in the office is friendly from the time you step in the door to the time you leave. I have also referred some family members to the office as well because of the amazing experience.

Not really sure how I found Dr. Weingrow. I went in there becasue I needed a GP and was struggling with my diet and workouts and low energy. He was patient with me, listened to my concerns and gave me realistic options for help with my situation and followed up. Very straight forward which caught me by surprise. Often times I feel worse after going to the Dr’s office, but here it has been nothing but a positive experience over the last 6 months. See him if you need some help with weight loss and/​or overall general healthcare. The staff is great, and there is plenty of parking. They also accommodate my weird schedule without any fuss. I debated putting a review becasue I want it to be my secret, but Good doctors are hard to find in Vegas…

When it comes to general practitioners, I find that it is important to have a doctor who is personable, knowledgable, attentive and caring, someone with the expertise to diagnose and treat your symptoms, someone who you are comfortable with so that you are free to discuss your personal health issues. From talking to him, Dr. Weingrow not only has these characteristics, he is well above and beyond from being a family doctor. While his clinic offers general healthcare services and his specialty is sports medicine, he also has a weight loss program for those who seek this particular service.
If you are in need of a family doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Weingrow!

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Weingrow! His medically supervised weight loss program is fantastic! He helped me get my weight back on track and I’m finally in shape and healthy again! I would recommend him to everyone!
He is also a great family practice doctor. I switched over to him for all my medical needs now.
