I would say it’s more like two and a half stars. If you go early and get a computer not too bad but if you go late there is always computers being used by people playing videos games and what not. Also people talk extremely loud and not just students people working there as well. My only other real complaint would be is that for a school with a decent sized student body the library is too small.

OK, you are like, «A review of a library, who cares» just hold your mud for a second. This place is really nice. The chairs here are really, really, really nice. This is an important feature if you are going to be sitting studying for hours at a time, and I do. This library is super clean, the study rooms are amazing(you need a library card to check them out) they have white boards to write on, and are great for a group wanting to study. Air-conditioning is on point. A ton of new clean books, on new clean shelves. You can also have snacks here, just don’t be a pig and wreck it for the rest of us. I will be spending some time here for sure. Study hard little Jedi’s…

It is a library. There are some books here(that no one reads), some PC terminals(that no one leaves unoccupied), and even a handful of tables/private study rooms(are mostly always taken). One gets the feeling that the patrons who frequent this library would be better off finding the computer labs. Pro Tip: Third floor of K building and first floor of C building feature computer labs. Vets have three terminals at the VA centre in B; with free, limitless printing. The library’s «Reserve» has some textbooks(not all, unfortunately) that one can borrow for a couple of hours(the books cannot leave the library). I do not ever remember asking for a book and it being already checked out to someone else, so that would lead to believe that this option is not necessarily being widely used by students. Other textbooks can actually be loaned by the library system for three weeks and renewed up to two times(if no one else requests to reserve it). If the book is in Henderson or North Las Vegas, there is a distribution system in place — not entirely dissimilar to Clark County’s libraries — that conveniently brings the book to your library. Moreover, there is 20 $ of printing capabilities on your PrintServe, or whatever it is called at the time of writing, on your account, renewed each semester if you are a full-time student. It is use-or-lose, so that it does not accumulate over the nine years it will take you to achieve the AA in General Studies. With that being said, some improvements that could be beneficial: — Expand summer semester hours(perhaps move to minimal manning to staff); — Offer complete and unabridged selection of textbooks for all courses currently offered at CSN, including but certainly not limited to one always available for«Reserve» and one for actual 21-day loan; and — More AC sockets. More short-term computers. More. More. More. — E Postscript. — Colour printing. Offer colour printing. It is 2014.
