Desert Radiologists

Went to walk in with my lab requests since my doctor’s office told me I needed to get this done ASAP! I walk in thinking it’s like any other radiology and the first thing I see in bold letters was «NO XRAYS AT THIS LOCATION». How can you fail to mention that on my request forms? The back of the page says this location was closest thinking I was all set! So I have here a a request for a Ultra Sound on my head, neck, thyroid and a Chest Xray. I’m just trying to follow up on my health because I’ve had cancer in my past and you’re not even capable of examining people? I asked the women at the front desk where I could go to get all of this done and they just shrug at me. So I asked what COULD I get done here, the girl says «we do thyroid…» Okay clearly I was wasting my time talking to these people. What really sets me off I called ahead TWICE to ask if I could eat & drink before hand. They Hung up on my the first time after I was on hold for 7 minutes. I call back and she never said anything like, «OH we don’t do chest xrays at this location you want to go visit our website». Any heads up would of been NICE! Lousy attitudes. I wanted to warn other folks of this so they are not inconvenienced the same way that I was. I can’t believe they wasted my time not ONCE but TWICE! Shame on your staff.
Now I have to put this off until the next time I can get a ride. This has been on my mind and I NEEDED to find out if i have a clean bill of health so I can quit worrying if I’m still in remission or not. I went through stage 4 cancer as a child. As soon as I had the chance to get on health insurance, I had a sigh of relief thinking I can check myself out. NOPE! Shake my head, I hate it when people waste my time. Unfriendly staff!
