Doctors of Technology Computer Repair

WOW! Jeremy and Doctors of Technology of won my business. I had a problem pop up on Friday late afternoon. I called and Was able to get my computer in to them. By 2PM Saturday Jeremy called and I was all set and could pick up my computer. Since my livelihood depends on my computer functioning, I have no time for «downtime.» I was very happy with the work, the quickness of getting the job done, and the price is extremely fair.
My former repair person has left town so I am happy to have found Jeremy and this company.

Amazing company! Had a laptop in dire need to be fixed and they fixed it the same day! Will definitely go back to them and recommend them to anyone.

Wasted me 10 days and $ 49. My laptop was dead, screen was new and connected properly (changed it myself), dropped it off on Friday, was told they would check it out, nothing happened, stopped by Saturday, same story, nothing happened, waited all day Monday, nothing, stopped by Tuesday, they said they checked it out, and they thought someone had called me Monday and they were waiting for my authorization to replace the motherboard, which they had to order. I was told it would take 5 days and would be around $ 180 total. Got a call Monday (6 days later), expecting them to tell me it was ready to pick up, instead they told me the motherboard was $ 200 (+$ 99 labor), seriously! shouldn’t they have found out about the price of the motherboard the day they «ordered» it?, not a week later. So they told me I could have them order it, which I thought they had already done a week before, or buy one of their used laptops for $ 175, and they would transfer my data to it. Forget them, can’t even order the parts on time and know the price, took 10 days to get nowhere, had to pay $ 49 for the fee to take apart the laptop. I told them to put it back together, taking my business somewhere else where they won’t B.S. me all the time.

I had an old Dell laptop that I used for all my computing needs that died on me recently. The data on the computer was only partially backed up. I went to Doctors of Technology based on my roommate’s recommendation. It also didn’t hurt that they were close by. They did a diagnostic check for free and informed me that I had a corrupt hard drive and that they could attempt to recover and transfer the data onto another device. I was worried that I’d never see a lot of the stuff on my old laptop ever again, but the technicians were able to recover my data and then transfer it to a new laptop.
Overall, Doctors of Technology made the process as smooth as possible. The workers were courteous and prompt in contacting me and giving me updates on their progress and returning my calls. The entire process lasted less than a couple of days before they were done and they charged me a very fair price. I would definitely recommend this place.

Fixed my PC in no time it appeared that it was a hard-​drive problem.

I always used to be nervous picking a specialty service like this out of the Yellow Pages.
Now, thanks to sites like Unilocal out there to keep the world on the straight and narrow, you can do so with a greater degree of confidence, but when your PC crashes, it’s still a terrifying proposition.
I called Doctors of Technology, based on a few great online reviews (it may have been Google or yellowpages reviews, I cannot recall), and they directed me to their Sunset and Eastern location.
I was positive it was a crash, and I would have been grateful if they were just able to recover the information on my hard drive. I asked how long it would take, and they nonchalantly told me that it’s usually less than 24hrs. That was impressive, though I though a bit optimistic.
Lo and behold, I get a call later on that same day, letting me know it was 100% operational. I was amazed.
Same day service, and the best part… it was only $ 99.
I could not have been happier, especially since I was facing the expense of buying a new laptop, AND losing 2 year’s work.
(Yes, I’ve since switched to an external drive, and back up regularly now. That was too scary to risk again.)
In any case, these guys really know their stuff.
