East Side Pizza

I recently discovered this place had new ownership, so we decided to try a 12 inch cheese pie. It was an obvious and major improvement over the dross the old owners thought was pizza. The pie we had today was so full of cheese that the crust was too thin to hold it. The cheese ran all over the inside of the box and the slice lines were no longer visible, so maybe they could balance that out just a bit. The upshot is the flavor and ingredients are a massive improvement. The cheese was excellent as was the sauce. The crust was an actual crust baked in an oven and not the prefabricated stuff the old owners used. The pie arrived within 20 minutes, but was only on the warm side, not hot. It tasted so good it didn’t matter. Amber was very nice on the phone when ordering. All in all, a major improvement. Take note… the owner and employees care about what they are doing.

This place is consistently awesome!!! The Best Pizza in all of Las Vegas and Iam from NYC so therefore a credible JUDGE! Great crust sauce and cheese is perfect. Get the oregano shaker and put some on a plain cheese pie! You will be in heaven just like New York City or Brooklyn! Also 5 stars for service and Great Staff ask for the owner Chris he always provides great service!

First time here. It was okay. I got the chicken parmesan sandwich, it looked good but was all cheese and sauce, chicken was very thin. My husband got 2 slices of pizza which he enjoyed. We ended the meal with Zeppoles that were very dry and need chocolate sauce to make them better.

Me and my girlfriend groupon a lot. So it brought us to East Side Pizza. First of all the groupon comes with beer like who doesnt love beer with pizza. The feel was very calm and steady paced. Glad we came whrn we did, it was nice outside so we sat in front. The pizza came in 10 min tops. Overall very satisfying pizza. We chose the sausage, if you LOVE CHEESE this is the pizza joint. Such rich succulant stretchy cheese. Nom Nom Nom.

Love this place! Always fast and friendly. Get the New York style calzone!

This place was good the first time. The second the chicken were so over cooked and burnt. I can’t believe they would serve food like that. When I asked for some different ones I received a dirty look and was told they were cooked till they floated. Will not be returning.

Hubby found their menu but after 17 years in Vegas (born n raised in NY) I wasn’t hopeful.
All I can say is WOW!!! Ordered a large pie extra cheese. I don’t know where to begin. There was about 2 lbs cheese on pie. The cheese & sauce were exactly what I was looking for. Tasted like home. The crust was really thin, again like home.
Unfortunately the crust wasn’t crispy after the drive home in the car with a/​c on high. Could’ve been all the cheese. Texture was fine, nice & chewy. Next time we’ll try it with regular cheese since they obviously are not stingy on cheese.
So if you are a NY transplant try East Side Pizza. You will not be disappointed.
*Note* as a reference I hate Villa Pizza, NY Pizza & Pasta. Rocco’s (Summerlin) is good but stingy with cheese. I adore Grimaldi’s but it’s not NY pizza, not enough toppings even when you’re paying for them.

So no problem paying for the better food/​ingredients/​experience but 2 large pizzas with 2 toppings $ 45, I just don’t see it for the level of pizza it is. It’s really average, right there with metro. Nothing special, not bad, not great. Summerlin has a lot better pizza restaurants to offer so try one of them.

Clean place and really nice employees but the food was not good at all. Cheese on pizza seems fake and we have lead gut. Salad was good, projection screen but they haven’t taken old mount off the wall which is lazy like their food. Hope it was just an off day for them…

We love this place calzones are amazing and never had a problem with time or delivery.

What ever happened to service? Ordered pizza for delivery and was told an hour to hour 15. Over 90 minutes and still no pizza.
Last order they messed up the toppings.
Called to ask about pizza and no idea other than «they have left the store»
Love that they deliver but there are much better options.
Pizza is quality is hit or miss.

This has to be the best Pizza & Fries ever! They are right across the street from where I work so it’s always pretty easy to order from them to either deliver to work or order ahead of time to take home some dinner. They have a good variety of what they carry, but I am one of those who always gets the same thing over and over again! It is super greasy though! I, am not one to complain.

I have given them 5 stars for taste, The food was very tasty and My wife absolutely loved the Tortellini — she would rate them higher than Olive Garden. I cannot speak for the restaurant itself, I have never visited it. I have just tried their delivery once. Both times I have called the restaurant they have been very busy and taken quite some time to answer the phone. I don’t know if that’s they are just that busy, or understaffed as Rachael P inferred in her review
Note: previously I had written that I had food poisoning from them — I was mistaken. It seems there is a nasty bug going around. Several days later after my experience my wife came down with the same symptoms. Clearly I was mistaken and retract my previous statement

Ordered delivery to my house for UFC party. Everyone loved it! Had a pepperoni, a white and the Fenway. We fought over all of them! But love the Fenway!!! And some of the best wings I’ve ever had. They have a great flavor. However they fry them is awesome!!! No one even touched the sauce or ranch!!!

It was pretty dead in there. I ordered from a girl, she also cooked the food. I ordered penne pesto w chicken. For one I am not a health inspector but the hoods were filthy, that’s dripping on your food, pizza ovens were dusty, the beer display under glass. was dirty… some guy was just hanging out… and some guy was snaking the drain walking in and out of the kitchen. And I noticed all of this because I waited for my food 20 minutes. Not what I was expecting. Who knows the pizza might be good. I don’t think Ill find out for myself however.

As authentic as many New York slice shops despite its Westside location in Summerlin’s Boca Park, East Side Pizza had been earmarked for a visit for some time when I entered its doors on Saturday night and with football playing on two screens as fairly steady stream of foot traffic arrived for takeout the experience was as good as expected — no more and no less.
Clearly a locals-​only sort of spot, despite ownership proudly declaring Big Apple roots, a visit to East Side Pizza begins at the end of a long counter where single slices are there to temp and with ordering available up front or seated at tables to the right I found myself a four-​top where the Italian-​American menu expanded well beyond the giant rings of dough being hand tossed by a duo of young men standing before ovens glowing electric orange.
Obviously there for the pizza, but also willing to sample a few appetizers along with, it was with recommendations from a friendly female server that my order was made and with little delay the meal began with the aforementioned slice, a classic pepperoni concoction with a bit of char, plenty of crunch, and a stream of grease pooling on the plate when folded to take a bite. Less successful, a followup of ‘garlic knots’ had none of the expected crunch and although reasonably laced with garlic butter the dinner-​roll texture left me luke-​warm, a sidecar of classic marinara improving the flavors only a smidge.
At this point experiencing a bit of delay due to several take-​out orders occurring at once it was after perhaps twenty minutes of watching Oregon State and ASU that the $ 10 Eggplant Rollatini arrived and although meager in portion with only three thin slices of eggplant on a bed of marinara with a veil of cheese both the flavors and textures shined, a similar kind word offered to the rich cocoa tones of limited-​edition Red Velvet Cake but completely inappropriate for thimble-​sized ‘bombolini’ that lacked any semblance of yeasty nuance, instead presenting nothing but oily fried dough.
Friendly service, save for an older woman jokingly spouting semi-​racist epithets to the men spinning dough, and fairly good red sauce classics are the name of the game at East Side Pizza and although never particularly sold on the idea that New York Style is a pie worth seeking out the version here is pretty close to the real deal while other options vary in quality and quantity compared to price paid.

After a very long day and not wanting to cook dinner, I walked right over here after my sons hair cut. If you show them your receipt from Sports Cuts, you get 10% off your order.
I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and it was delicious. The pizza itself was bigger than the normal chain pizzas and smelled very wonderful. It was nothing but cheesy goodness drizzled in sauce. I couldn’t wait to get home and dig in. It was calling my name the entire drive home.
Now, I have a dog at home. She knows to stay away from the table when we’re eating but was hovering over us the entire time at dinner, then she finally jumped up and snatched the pizza right out of my hand. I guess she wanted some of the deliciousness too. We didn’t have any leftovers after we were done since my boys loved it that much. We will definitely be back.

Great deal! My wife ordered ravioli, I ordered Penne Bolognese. Must say it was good! I tried the ravioli, and it was good too.
The restaurant looks like an average fast food place. Nothing fancy.
The service was really good. We were treated very well.
Portions were fair! Both my wife and I, had left overs!

I have stopped in before for the lunch special with 2 slices of cheese pizza and a drink. That was good and the right price at just over $ 6 and change. This visit I phoned my order for pick up and wanted to try a sandwich and pizza with toppings. I ordered a «Bambino» which is their version on a meatball parm. It cost $ 8.99 and was terrible. The bread, sauce and cheese were good but the meatballs were very tough. I don’t know if it was just an off day but I wouldn’t ever order anything with meatballs here again. The sandwich did come with a side salad that I enjoyed. The pizza I ordered is called «The Fenway» and has sausage, green bell peppers and onions for toppings. The pizza was just so-​so. The crust wasn’t able to hold the toppings well. It was $ 21.99 for the large pizza. Almost $ 35 for a pizza and sandwich after tax is way too pricey when it doesn’t even taste that great. I will stick to stopping by for the lunch special since that is a good deal and tasty.
Service is good and the inside is clean. I noticed a sign that said they offer catering services. They also offer delivery.

Great little place with inexpensive prices. They have quite a few lunch and dinner specials that were great prices. I ordered the two slices of cheese pizza and a drink for $ 5.99. Not bad for two very large slices of pizza and a refillable drink.
The pizza is really good. Thin and simple. The slice kept well too. I only ate one for lunch and saved the other for later when I got home and it was still flavorful and tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. I was interested in some of their pastas. I will have to come by another time to check out their dinner specials or some of their lunch pasta specials.
