Great food and great ambiance. Portions are incredibly large… I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area or on the strip. Very contemporary and we stopped by Pawn Stars on the way back to our hotel. I also like that they have the same type of bread in whole wheat if requested. The only downfall of this place was that it felt very rushed… they gave us a bill 2 minutes after we got our food and kept asking if we wanted a bag. We are not slow eaters(from NYC) and like to do things at an accelerated pace, but this felt like they were trying to get rid of us a bit. I got the truffle egg sandwich and it was great! I asked for a side of chipotle mayo to make it a bit creamier– it was excellent.

3.5 is more accurate, but Unilocal doesn’t get down like the figure skating judges, so I guess neither do we. Again with the hippy movement. When did Nevada become crunchy granola? I mean, I am sure it took place without anyone asking my opinion and that’s fine, I get it. Hippy is cool in a not so cool kinda way. It’s like hipsters and their man buns. It’s not cool, from the perspective of grown up male adults. But, maybe they place their hair in the bun because that one drunk chick at the club who was kinda sorta cute said«oh. M. gee!» Like this: My folks are a product of the 50’s and were knee deep in the REAL hippy movement out here in SF. If you told my Dad that the hippy culture was cool and that people selectively chose to become hippies and refused to wash their hair n clothes n stuff and they were attempting to recreate 1960’s Berkeley, he’d respond with a simple, monotone voice of «Why would anyone want to do that?» That out of the way, the crunchiness at this spot is not for me. I live in an area of the country where the crunch in crunchy was created and I shop at Berkeley Bowl every now and then, so there!!! Coffee was really good and really fresh. Locally roasted and I am a huge fan of local coffee. On account of the evil mermaid movement and all. Food was ok. Not amazing not send it back terrible just flat out ok. Truffled egg sandwich had a few bites of delicious and a few more bites of bland. It was odd cause with each delicious bite, I expected the next bite to follow suite. Inconsistent cooking on that order I guess. Pancakes were dark, in a good way and pretty solid. They serve a tiny jar of fresh maple syrup with it. Nice touch. Expensive, as expected in Vegas but we just ate at Mon Ami Gabi the day before and we chowed there. This spot shouldn’t be in the same Luce range as that spot, but it is and I’m not game. As plenty of women have expressed over the years, it’s not you, it’s me. So I’ll end my review with that and allow you to crunchy it up out in the desert if you so desire.

Holy cow! Let me start by saying I’m absolutely in love with this place. I’ve been dying to get here for a brunch but turns out a coworker and I dropped by for lunch instead. Props to the interior designer because this place is totally my cup of tea. It’s got that downtown, upscale hipster vibe that just makes you feel welcomed. Now to the good part, the food. Our waitress recommended the biscuits to start. Ah-mazing! They come with a fruity syrup and fresh fruit. Seems like more of a breakfast or dessert item so maybe next time I’ll save it for later. For an entrée I chose the grilled cheese & tomato soup. No joke this was the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had in my life! The portion size was huge so it lasted me for lunch & dinner. Enjoyed each and every minute of it! My coworker had the BLT which looked great too. Can this place get any better? I’ll definitely be back soon for brunch & more.

Eat was truly delicious. From the moment we entered we loved it. It has a very hip ambience and it is very modern. We got seated and my husband ordered the pomegranate tea which he tells me was wonderful, but I can’t be sure because all tea tastes like mud water to me. Bleh. We ordered the cinnamon biscuits which came drizzled in their homemade jam and fruit. We weren’t actually too impressed with this dish, the biscuits were a little dry but the sauce made up for it. What was amazing was our main entrée. We ordered two eggs, toast, potatoes and bacon. Perfection. The potatoes were amazing. I can only dream of a way to recreate their parsley potatoes. Even the toast was way more delicious than regular toast and I can’t discover why. The bacon was also delicious. Something else amazing was their specialty honey. I could drink it for days. Our waiter however was a bit rude, he made rude comments to a friend of ours for ordering two appetizers in lieu of an entrée. Taking off one star for that and the dry biscuits. Other than that, magnifique!

The setting for this place looks like the streets of San francisco or the cafes in Manhattan. This is a cute little eatery great to hang out with friends for brunch. I ordered the roast beef sandwich and my other friends had the veggie burger and the chicken sandwich. What I thought to look really simple there was tremendous flavor in every bite. The tomato soup that my friend had was very delicious with tons of the buttery garlic flavor leveled to the extreme. Not bad for your wallet because pricing was very reasonable. Our small stomachs couldn’t handle eating the other half of the sandwich so we took the rest Togo. Wait time isn’t too long because it was a Monday. I bet weekends are jam packed. We are def coming back!

I adore Vegas. The bright lights, debauchery and all. It was nice to stray away from Fremont Street to check out this hidden gem. I had a mid afternoon flight, so I was hype when I figured out that I could squeeze in a quick trip to eat. Added bonus is that it was within walking distance of The Golden Nugget. I arrived a little before opening. There were just a few people waiting outside. They were nice enough to let us in a little early. The restaurants itself is adorable! My kind of a joint. It definitely doesn’t feel like your typical Vegas establishment. It was small, quaint, and tastefully decorated. They also had a pic of Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes. Yes! My homegirl in my mind. Ha! I was immediately greeted by the waitress and my order was taken. Although they had other tasty offerings, I just had to order their signature dish which is the cinnamon biscuits with warm strawberry compote and a side of chive potatoes. All of the pics I’ve seen posted were drool worthy. It didn’t take long at all for my food to arrive. The biscuits were everything I imagined and more. Warm, flaky, light, and delicious. The compote was not overly sweet. The chive potatoes were a great side as well. To make it even better, my bill was less than $ 12. Whaaaatttt? Yes! I’m a fan of delicious AND reasonably priced. I left Vegas full, happy, and glad I explored more of what Vegas had to offer. I can’t encouraged folks enough to check this spot out. It will not disappoint.

I’m actually being quite nice for giving them 4⁄5 because of the blahhh service. FOOD5⁄5: I came here with my friends on a holiday. Although it was super busy, the food still tasted amazing. –Truffle sandwich($ 12): Super good, everything put together well. Potatoes are DELICIOUS. –Shrimp&grits($ 15): Loved this but wish it had more shrimp. –Corn beef hash($ 14): The corn beef is in cube-like form, and it was kinda hard. Still good, but wish the corn beef was softer. SERVICE2⁄5: We got sat down after 30ish mins. As we got seated our server came, jotted down what we ordered, but that was the last time I saw him. He never checked up on us ANDWEHADTOASK3TIMESABOUTREFILLINGOURWATERS to some other server. –The server we asked about the refills obviously was getting super annoyed at us… like girl, we don’t know where your coworker went AND we are eating savory dishes, we have to drink a lot of water to wash it down. –Being a small restaurant, I expected that service would be pretty efficient… guess not. The restaurant itself is small and cute. Reminds me of SoCal hipster brunch places. Definitely fits in the Downtown LV area. I would come back here for the food, just don’t have high expectations about the service… Tips to know beforehand: –There are meter parking spots, no free lot. –Restaurant may be hard to spot, it’s under an apartment complex. –Wait can be about 30 – 40 mins.

Hubby and I were staying at The Fremont and I found this place on Unilocal,so we walked over for breakfast/lunch. The vibe inside is much more Reno-like than Vegas… ie bare, stark, eclectic. We were seated immediately and our waitress came right over. Two cups of coffee, great cups, good coffee. We opted for one pancake to share and it was big, but nothing special. More like Denny’s than even homemade. We also split their deviled egg appetizer. The take eggs, remove the yolk, coat the whites in panko breadcrumbs and fry them. They’re not served warm, so that part is ok, then they make the yellow part deviled and top it with Sriracha sauce, bacon(which we omitted due to hubby being a pescatarian) and maybe green onions. Very interesting from a texture standpoint, but nothing amazing in the taste zone. Four halves = $ 8…too high. We each ordered the Killer Grilled Cheese, which is billed as aged cheddar on sourdough, served with kick-ass tomato soup. The bread was thicker than Texas toast, with a nice crispy buttery browned crust. There was this almost translucent slice of cheddar cheese which had no discernsble flavor due to the overwhelming presence of the bread. The tomato soup had a hint of basil, a super runny base and a few chunks of tomatoes. It was served in a beautiful large bowl and if it was a scant cup, if that. The duo was certainly not worth the $ 9 price tag. All in all, two coffees, two grilled cheese and soup, one pancake and two deviled eggs was almost $ 50! Might be a good place for a one off if you want a quasi trendy breakfast place but I really don’t think we would ever return.

I finally snuck in on a day they weren’t packed! After running errands downtown I realized it was early enough to catch lunch at eat. and I’m so happy I did. I sat at the counter since I was solo and it was comfortable. In fact, I enjoy how comfortable the restaurant feels in general. I ordered the free-range chicken sandwich with tomato soup– perfect on a cold day! The sandwich was perfect. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, the arugula crisp and the tomatoes on point! The ciabatta bread was grilled perfectly. Everything fit together wonderfully. I can’t wait to go back and have another. I’m only disappointed that eat. isn’t closer to my home! If you’re in the downtown area I highly recommend this restaurant!

We found this place via four-square & Unilocal this past weekend. Its a great restaurant off the strip, definitely a hidden gem to out-of-towners. We stopped for breakfast before heading back to LA with friends. Everyone was extremely happy with their food. I had the truffle egg sandwich, which they happily substituted avocado for turkey bacon. The pancakes and egg benedict special were also hits at my table. The portions are on the larger side, which is the perfect cure for those Vegas hangovers.

I am so sad that I cannot visually recapture my moment at eat. but at least I have my vivid mental memory of this great brunch eat. tery & the pictures from Unilocal. Came here on a Saturday around 11 @ the wait was about 40 mins but it was worth it. Must get: Coffee!!! Ginger drink!!! DEEPFRIED deviled eggs. —- super must (I swear you not, this was the best thing I’ve eatten in my life). Truly was worth the calories. Eggs Benedict(Off the menu) pretty good, but not the best again… please please please get the deviled eggs.(View all the pictures of the deviled eggs)

Had no clue what«The Eat» was, but I figured I would give it a try after my lunch partners today suggested it. While on the way down I checked out the trusty Unilocal and saw it had very good reviews so my anticipation grew. Upon entering, this place was small to average in size, but had several tables to accommodate the lunch crowd. As such this made it very loud and very hard to hear the conversation I was having, but the staff was amazing and the food looked very good as the staff was hustling it out. It took a few minutes for us to be seated, but our waitress was spot on. The drinks and food were out very quickly. Our waitress was happy and up beat all while dealing with a busy lunch crowd, and never missed a beat. I went with a chicken sandwich,(added avocado) and the green chili pesole soup. I was not ready for the flavor explosion that happened with each bite. The portions size was amazing and for the price could not have been happier. Both my lunch partners that day agreed. This place is another fine Downtown eat spot. Only draw back is the noise level and crowds, but it’s worth the possible slight hearing loss for the food. Will be back again, and will try non peak hours. Well done!!!

I came here due to their highly instagrammed pictures! This is located in downtown Las Vegas near the outlets. Parking is $ 1 an hour, but an hour is all you need. We got the Chicken Fried Steak and the Truffled Egg Sandwich. I loved the mushrooms in the sandwich and the breakfast potatoes the two dishes came with. I probably wouldn’t get the Chicken Fried Steak again though, as it gets to be too heavy after a while. It felt like eating a breaded beef patty. Over all, a great experience and will come back again to try their Deep Fried Devil Eggs and their Cinnamon Biscuits with Strawberry Compote!

Looking for something off the strip for breakfast. You know it’s the most important meal of the day. Life is short, don’t eat hurry up food! So I went to «Eat». Simple enough. I’m by myself which is always interesting. I sit at the bar. Order the shrimp and grits. The guy asks«do you want cheese on that?» Should you even ask that? YES!!! Now I love shrimp and grits and this goes to close to the top of the list. Presentation was on point and the taste was amazing. I could not finish it. But the last bite I took was as good as the first bite. I would so recommend coming here. It was worth a come back for sure.

Not sure how eat. garnered all this hype, but it’s a solidly mediocre«New American» spot. The concept and the space resonate with me, but the devil is in the details and the execution just isn’t there. For starters — the service is not there. Neither our hostess nor our waiter were particularly warm or accommodating. Our table didn’t have any silverware — not even after our coffees were served. We instead had to ask for them as our food was coming out. We noticed this happened with a bunch of other tables as well. The waiter just couldn’t be bothered to do anything beyond the bare minimum necessary. As for the food — the food was decent. The truffled egg sandwich that everyone raves about was a-ok for an egg sandwich in my book(a $ 12 egg sandwich btw). I was most excited about the mushrooms and truffle flavors — but it was disappointingly light on the mushrooms and the truffles. I maybe caught only one bite that had a hint of truffles. The sandwich also comes on a giant toasted ciabbata roll that wasn’t sliced — a minor detail, but those details adds up. The cinnamon biscuit with strawberry compote was decent — the biscuit is more like a toasted chunk of cinnamon bread. Not particularly buttery or hard on the outside like a true biscuit. The strawberry compote was good — it came with some fresh strawberries and blackberries. Another minor detail– but the leaves weren’t removed from the strawberries. The color of the tiny leaves didn’t add anything aesthetically — and needing to remove them just became a bit of a pain in the butt. I’m impressed by how far downtown Vegas has come. Eat. is a good choice if you’re looking for generally reliable, slightly more hipster brunch food — but given all the options in Vegas, eat. wouldn’t be my first choice.

Best damn breakfast I’ve had in a while. There are a LOT of great options in Vegas for a hearty breakfast/brunch, so it’s not easy to find a place that really impresses. But Eat managed to serve up some ungodly portions of delicious breakfast food, with a level of quality and execution that was nearly flawless. Let’s start with my country fried steak, which was fried to a beautiful crisp, while maintaining a nicely tender center. Matched with chunks of thick gravy and streaks of the runny egg yolk, each bite was beautifully savory and satisfying. The corned beef hash with eggs and toast was equally generous in portion, and came nicely seasoned with an appropriate ratio of potatoes. Each dish was hearty and flavorful, without being overly greasy or heavy. As equally as impressive as the food, was the organization and execution coming from the kitchen. We sat at the counter and was able to observe how Chef Natalie was constantly hustling and communicating with her staff. They were like a well oiled machine, and it was both impressive and refreshing to see someone that on top of everything coming out of the kitchen. It’s no wonder that the food came out promptly, was prepared well, and tasted great. So if you’re looking for a nice little breakfast spot that serves up some creative dishes with quality ingredients and generous portions, come eat at Eat. At the very least, you’ll get the satisfaction of knowing that your food was prepared with some attention and care. And that’s actually worth something to me.

My main factors of rating a restaurant are the food quality vs food costs, customer service, cleanliness, uniqueness of décor, and lastly if I can make it at home or find similar food somewhere else. I consider all of those things against each other and sometimes they balance each other out. I wanted to like this place more, but it was just a turn off for me. eat. has been on my radar forever, but they don’t fit into my work schedule since they only serve breakfast brunch. It’s in a cute space downtown where you’ll find a wide variety of patrons. Our server was so blah. He was super rude when he walked up to us and asked us rather rudely what we wanted. I want to say it was a, «know what you want?» No hi or anything. I really hate patronizing places with bad customer service but I whatever, I paid for metered parking. lol jk he also brought us one refill on our drink. When we were paying. Enough about that. My food was good. It wasn’t great. It wasn’t drool worthy. It was picture worthy though. We got the deviled eggs, shrimp and grits, and the Reuben with tomato soup. We got their house brewed citrus tea. The shrimp and grits was good. The bacon makes the dish. I wish the grits were thicker and more flavorful. It was good and the portion of shrimp was good. The Reuben sandwich had the thickest slices of bread. The meat was okay. It was all just okay. The tomato soup was good, but not special. Just a well done basic tomato soup. The tea was good. The deviled eggs were good. Deep fried hard boiled egg whites then filled with the traditional deviled egg filling and topped with bacon. I could have eaten a dozen of these. Overall I liked the place. After hyping myself up for months I’d probably not rush back. The service was disappointing, the food wasn’t memorable or special, and the cheap tactics of using the huge bread slices was a turn off.

So turned off by the rude hostess up front. Yes girl with the dreads and 3 inch holes in your ears, this review is for you! Came around lunch time and I must say it isn’t too crazy busy. Walked in with my coworker and asked for a seat of 5(lunch time with the office). Was completely ignored. Another group came in seconds right after us, asked for a seat of 5, was immediately seated. Two of my other coworkers came in, asked again for a party of 5. Again to remind you, there were 4 of us at the time because we were waiting on the doctor to arrive! We were immediately rejected and told that she cannot seat incomplete parties. WELLDAMN, maybe if you would’ve said something initially, upon arriving, and actually telling us nicely. I would’ve known that information! Word of advice miss, please let«incomplete parties» know that such rule before rudely ignoring them and seating the party behind them right away … Wooooosah. Now let’s talk food. New thing tried was the Fried Deviled Eggs — fried egg with a creamy yolk center, topped with hot sauce and bacon pieces! Simple yet yummy! Then got my usual Shrimp & Grits — always a hit! Service from Gary was great, he has great personality and very tentative!

This is a great local restaurant, and the food is excellent. The service is friendly and fast. This is a small joint, though, so if you come on a weekend expect it to be very crowded(I’ve only ever visited on the weekend so I’m not sure what it looks like on weekdays)! It is much easier to get a table if you have a smaller party(think 2 or 3). I’m not sure that I would ever try to bring a group here for brunch, because you’d have to wait such a long time! The food is really great. The last time we visited I tried the ‘blta’ — a blt with avocado, but man, is it good! It came with tomato soup which was very, very good. My husband got their truffled-egg sandwich(can’t remember the exact name) and was extremely pleased with it. Both times we have been to eat we have left very full and very happy with our meal! The prices are a little higher, but you are practically downtown, and the quality of the good is just so good that it is worth it. The menu had changed since the last time we had visited, so I’m sure there will always be something new to try! Honestly, I probably would have given this place five stars if it wasn’t such a bother to get a table!

I had high expectations and eat. didn’t disappoint. Food was excellent, service was good — I already can’t wait to go back! To start, we ordered the biscuits with strawberry compote. The biscuits had a slightly crunch on the outside(which I liked) and weren’t too dense on the inside(which I also liked). Covered in strawberries, blueberries and strawberry compote, not too sweet, but just right. I had the truffle egg sandwich which was delightful. Bread toasted perfectly, filled with eggs flavored with truffle, bacon, and feta — yum, yum and yum! It came with a side of potatoes and onions. I ate half and I was stuffed! My hubby had the pancakes which were fluffy and oh so good. It came with a side of turkey sausage that was flavorful and delicious. The only downside is location. We usually don’t go downtown very often and parking is all on the street, metered. Also, after reading other reviews, we got lucky and didn’t have to wait(Sunday at 11am) but I can imagine it’s not often like that.
