Perfect place to catch some drinks and watch the fountain show at the Bellagio. It gets crowded fast but if its your first time here I recommend it to get some nice pics ;-)

OMG! So my mom and i went to the Fontana Bar b/c we wanted to have drinks and watch the fountains go off. So after waiting in line, we got a table outside. Our waitress was nice and my mom ordered Goose Martini and I ordered a vodka soda. After waiting for what it seemed like forever our drinks finally arrived and it was the worse drink ever!!! YUCK!!! My moms drink was even worse!!! She only drinks Grey Goose. and I will tell you. it wasnt Goose… The view was amazing but the drinks where horrible. IF you do get a drink. either get wine or a beer!!!

Great bar overlooking the fountains. Doesn’t open until 5 pm, but fills up on the patio quickly. I could stay all evening and watch the fountains again & again, if the drinks weren’t so spendy. Didn’t stay for the music, but will do next time.

BEAUTIFUL place to enjoy a cocktail or a fine glass of wine. The fountain goes off about every half hour or twenty minutes or so, absolutely loved watching the show. No cover charge, one drink minimum, and definitely worth the extra wait to sit on the patio.

Had a drink there before the O show. So it’s a quiet time before any live music or major customers came in. I sit in the sofa and later walked out to see the famous fountain. The cocktail is properly prepared even it’s a rarely ordered Scotch cocktail — I ordered the same one in another bar the other day in LV, which turned out to be a disaster. The waitresses are sexy and nice, I somehow can’t take eyes off them… as a girl… lol

Fun, fun, fun! This place is a blast! We met up with some friends here on a whim. They said, «you have to come to the Fontana Bar, this lounge act is great!» We were there on a Friday night to see Dian Diaz and they were so good! We had been across the street to see another lounge act and this one was superior! Dian Diaz was a really cool band playing 90’s and up pop/dance music. I guess that’s how I would describe it. We really enjoyed the Lemon Drop martinis and The McCallan. Maybe a little bit too much. It’s a place to have a couple drinks and relax with friends, but talking is out of the question. The drinks were good, the band was great and the atmosphere comfortable and hopping! Thanks again for a great evening!

I really enjoyed my stay here — friends for drinks and munchies while viewing the fountain show. Our server was Victoria and she was friendly and keenly aware of our needs. I tried the Cable Car — and since I love me some cinnamon… this was just right… now I have to perfect it at home! And I will.

If you’ve ever been to Vegas, there’s a pretty good chance that you’ve stopped and watched the Bellagio water fountain show at least a couple of times. I know I have; watching the show at night is pretty gorgeous if you ask me. Sure, it’s not among the more spectacular things to do and see in Vegas, but it’s still fun for whatever reason. Well, that is, assuming you’re not standing out there in the middle of the day in 100+ degree weather, waiting for the next show to start. Then maybe it’s a little less enjoyable. Otherwise, it’s good times… especially when you get to check it out while sitting down at a bar. While the girls were planning on spending their ladies night clubbing, the rest of us fellas decided to spend our night wandering from hotel to hotel looking for some relaxed spots to drink at(note: I was going to say something like«a Strip bar crawl» but that would probably sound like a totally different sort of event…). Already buzzing after a few drinks before dinner, we decided to start our night where we had started it with everyone else the night before — Fontana Bar. Fontana«Bar» isn’t your typical sort of Vegas hotel bar, where you grab a drink and take a seat in front of a video poker machine. Rather, it’s more like a lounge, with a live band and musical act that does their own renditions of popular songs. There’s a bunch of tables and seats for people to relax and enjoy their drinks, but it’s certainly not the kind of place to have a conversation. Rather, with the music playing, it’s more of a spot for you to sit back, enjoy the music, and maybe hit the dance floor to get your groove on. From Shakira to Bruno Mars, the band does a pretty good job of mixing in different hits to keep the crowd going. However, while Dian Diaz can put on a pretty good performance, what we all liked the most(and the reason why we came back) was their back patio. Looking out onto the strip, you can’t argue wtih the view. You have the best seats in the house to watch the show, with the Paris hotel and Eiffel Tower across the way in the background. Plus, with drink in hand and a cover band in the background, you can take it all in without having to leave your table. Throw in a seat with that a special lady, and I would call that a great way to spend a night. Or, in my case, four of your boys… as you share some laughs while watching one of them get progressively drunker, knocking over glasses of alcohol, and almost yacking when someone tells him to take a sip from his glass of water… that’s been spike with scotch. Either way, it’s bound to be some good times. God I miss Vegas.

We were to meet some friends here, the music was good, but its not the type of place you can sit and talk, just too loud. The room was filled with alot of older people, quite a few couples out on the town with tuxedos and gowns, we were dresses really casual, but didn’t feel awkward. The bar is large with lots of tables and room to move, there were alot of empty tables for a Friday night. Drinks were pricey(not suprising) but tasty and had a good variety of scotches and whiskey. The thing that put us off the most was they added an entertainment tax to our bill, YUCK! I’ve never been anywhere that had done that before. We were also charged automatic 18% gratuity, I think because we had 6 people at our table, that didn’t bother us as much, we would’ve tipped here more probably, so we made out. Oh and if your gonna get appetizers, put your orders in early, it was about 8:30 pm and she said we couldn’t get anything, it was too late, when the menu says served til 9:00. So we ended up leaving shorly after to get a bite, we even asked if we could bring food in from the café and eat it n the bar, she informed us it was not allowed. Oh well, I probably won’t go back.

We could see the liquid light show from our table! But, we braved the chilly backsplash and went outside to snap photos with the water show anyway. The fuse band is ALRIGHT with me! I will look for them when I return. I just wish I had had my old dance partner with me because they played some dance-able tunes while we were there. Oh well. The drinks are fantastic but not inexpensive. Come prepared. I highly recommend! I’ll return because I’m a fan!

After a romantic dinner at Top of the World, my boyfriend and I wandered back down the strip to hang out, when we realized the best, most relaxing thing to do would be to watch the fountain show at the Bellagio. So we came by Fontana Bar, both because I had read on here about the beautiful view of the show, but the possibility of dancing & no cover fee. Well first thing, we are told by the hostess there is a one drink minimum, not specifying inside or out — this is fine — I don’t mind, I could use the drink! Most things were a little pricey, I asked about the $ 8 Sangria but was told its now $ 12 after dinner hours, so I got a domestic beer. The waitress was supremely slow, but its okay because we were in no hurry. We decided not to dance because the floor was a little bare — it was Monday night — there were some couples dancing but it didn’t seem like the right mood for us. :) But anyway, the balcony was sincerely a beautiful thing to behold, with perfect upfront views of the water show and the music within ear shot. It was a bit chilly but we were seated right under a heating post & so sat comfortably and watched a least five shows in a row. Every time I’ve been in LV I normally watch the show once while walking and kind of dismiss it, but for the first time I was able to really enjoy the technique & beauty of the show! Overall it was great to just relax and take in the sight. It was nice to feel like you were a part of the Bellagio landscape — balconies and all — looking across that beautiful lake at all the bright lights of the other hotels. The only thing that killed the mood was the final two shows — «Proud to Be An American» and the Star Spangled Banner. It was so surreal, we both had to laugh!

We came here specifically to sit on the patio and watch the fountain show, and in that respect, it didn’t disappoint! The view is perfect, and the chair are comfortable. That said, they can get away with a bit on service because of that. We waited about 10 min for a patio table, but the host staff was really friendly and got us in quicker. Cocktail service was REALLY slow, and there was a one drink minimum for patio seating that we weren’t told about(which isn’t a big deal, but our friend was working the next day, so not drinking, and had to pay $ 5 for bottled water). The prices on the menu were reasonable, $ 8 for a sangria… that magically became $ 12 when the waitress came by. Not cool. Just put the higher price on the menu. The band they had playing was pretty good, covering standard top 40 stuff. But the whole vibe was a little pretentious.

If you are tired from too much partying in Vegas or you are out with your family who don’t really have the right clothes or shoes to get into any of the fancy clubs, Fontana Bar is a place where I feel everyone will and should know your name by the end of the night! Yes, kind of like a super fancy Cheers! My mom brother and I partied it up here, and got all kinds of people watching in! This bar doesn’t stay open super late like the rest of vegas, but they have some awesome cover bands that come here(yes, they do play some corny corny versions of lady gaga and bon jovi ha ha), and if you like to see people who don’t really know how to dance shake their booties a little bit, then this place has the perfect front row seat for that action! No one that comes here is embarrassed to shake their groove thang, especially when the cocktail waitresses are so on their A game that your drink cup never gets the chance to be empty. And the other major bonus? This place literally has one of the best views of the entire Bellagio water show, and there is never a cover to come in here and sit and watch the free live music or the water show. And for a view like that to be free in a place like Vegas, well that is just priceless.

Date of visit: 12÷23÷09 This is THE place to watch the fountain show. We were seated outside, no wait at all. It was very cold, but there were heaters, not one for every table, but every other table. We each had hot buttered rum off the holiday drink menu. $ 14.00 each. Yes, drinks are expensive. I felt so sorry for the cocktail waitress in the skimpy outfit, she said she was freezing and I don’t doubt it!!! We left her a nice tip…

Must sit outside! Best time to come to this place is at sunset. you can watch the sunset and the fountain show. then as you finish your drink(drink slow, $ 14 a pop) you can watch the fountain show with the Eiffel Tower lit up in the background. Romantic. Drinks are a bit pricey(and everyone in the party must order at least one) but hey you’re in Vegas, things are pricey.

This is for the outer bar at the Fontana Bar, the one that is on the casino side. We enjoyed getting drinks at this one b/c you could still watch the bands and people trying to dance, without going into the dance floor. Drinks are expensive, but whats not expensive at the Bellagio. The late night bartenders are great and have a good sense of humor. We had the sames ones each time we went. I think someone else mentioned this too, but a lady named Dian Diaz played one night we sat at the bar and her band was pretty good, playing a mix of old a new stuff. Good times.

We were at The Bellagio to see«O» and when it was over, we met up with some of our friends who were also in Vegas. We were a group of 7 people, wandering around, trying to find a bar or lounge to sit in and have some drinks. Everything was full to capacity or the empty tables were reserved. Then we saw The Fontana. At first we thought it was a club because we could hear music and see people dancing. We thought we might be under dressed, but when we saw the middle aged woman with a mullet(or is it fullet?) in her Missy Elliot circa 1997 «I Can’t Stand the Rain» trash bag«sweater» we knew we would have no problem getting in. We were seated inside(there was a wait for the patio), we all looked over the bar menu, then waited forever for the waitress to come over. Once she made it, she was far from friendly… she took our orders with attitude, then left. We waited quite awhile for the drinks to arrive. The drinks eventually made it to the table, and they were good, I think everybody enjoyed what they had. The waitress didn’t come back to check on us for what seemed like an eternity, by the time she did come back, we were all ready to leave, so I didn’t get to have another drink. Boo :( Waitress issues aside, this place is quite entertaining. Our table of twenty and thirty somethings was definitely the youngest bunch in the room. I would say the age range in here is 45 – 80. No joke. LOTS of old people. The music they were playing was a mix of KIISFM hits — Lady Gaga, Rhianna, Mariah Carey — and old school funk like Cameo, Gap Band and The Commodores. All the old people were up on the stage doing ballroom dancing, and I felt like I was at a taping of Dancing with the Stars. I never knew you could tango to Poker Face. After awhile a cover band came on stage and sang everything from slow Fleetwood Mac songs to upbeat Jennifer Lopez hits. Odd set list. They were pretty good though, and they kept the senior citizens on the dance floor, so I was happy. Overall, this is an okay place. If the service was better, we probably would have stayed longer to people watch, but the service sucked so we decided to move on.

This place was pretty funny, first of all I’m pretty sure the surviving Golden Girls were sitting at the table in front of us. Let’s just say this is a happening scene for the 50+ crowd, we definitely pulled down the average age in there. That aside we enjoyed ourselves, great people watching opportunities, and it seems as though the view from the patio of the water show would have been nice. There was also a live band that was pretty good. The drinks were STRONG and tasty, I guess accomodating for the $ 14 price. Our waitress left a little to be desired, service was really slow. All in all, good drinks, just too pricy, with some interesting surroundings. Perhaps if we had sat outside I’d be giving this place a higher rating.

Waited about 10 minutes to get a table on the patio at Fontana Bar. For those who wanted a table inside where the live music was happening didn’t have to wait. When we were seated, we were facing the Strip, overlooking the Bellagio fountains… a front row seat to the fountain shows that play frequently. Although I wanted a seat closer to the railing, I was happy where we were since we were able to stand on our chairs and take pictures and take in the whole scene. The seats were definitely more comfortable than those at Parasol Up, Parasol Down. Here’s what we ordered: –iced tea($ 4?) –bellini($ 14) –strawberry mojito($ 14): Yum, but it was a bit too much with the bits and pieces of mint leaves and strawberries This is such a great place to just kick back, take in the view and watch the water show. The only thing was that the music from outside was so loud that it was drowning out the music from the fountain show.

5 Stars for the atmosphere on the outside patio deck, 3 stars for everything else. It was great hanging out here especially at night. Request for outdoor seating so you can have a great seat facing the Bellagio fountains. I don’t have anything against old people having a good time but I hope that this place has a supply of Bengay for all of the older people getting down inside dancing to a pretty good cover band signing 80’s — 90’s hits(no offence to anyone reading this that was dancing inside :) Only down fall was the drinks were too much. Typical Vegas price for mixed drinks $ 14 and a regular domestic beer no less than $ 7. If it wasn’t for the fountain show I don’t think I would hang out here I guess that why when 12am hit and the fountain show stopped there was no reason for me to be here. I would come back and hang out for a few hours just watch the show at night.
