My primary care physician of several years, referred me to this cardiologist, as he said he would, prior to my «condition.» Luckily, my insurance company was covered, and this was billed as a regular visit, with my normal copay amount of $ 20.00. I set an appointment with the lady on the phone(easily, nice enough, it’s getting to be somewhat rare, hate to say it, showing my dissatisfaction with customer service at other companies; but it’s a great resource to belong to an important site like this one to report all these things, anyway, digressing… sorry). I’ve been to this building before for radiology, years ago. The doctor’s office is on the 5th floor. The lobby of the doctor’s office is surprisingly not cookie cutter, standard white paint, it’s a warm rich copper color, not the usual décor for a doctor’s office– it didn’t feel cold and sterile. There is a soothing water fountain in the corner of the room. There were many chairs and a tv was on(fox news) at all times. I’ve had three appointments here, didn’t wait too long, which is also refreshing. The staff here is really nice, too(from the check-in desk, to the nurses, to the doctor). Funny things asked at this office, was: «Habla Espanol? No? You both look Spanish.» and«Are you Hawaiian or Filipino?» followed up with, «There are two nurses here that are Filipino, but you don’t look quite like them.» After I had the initials done(weight check, prior medical history, etc.), shortly after, met with the doctor, who didn’t rush the appointment(like so many other doctors do these days, it’s sad, really) and after the exam, wrote up a new prescription for me. The doctor was very nice. At checkout, we noticed pictures of the doctor with patients, I’m assuming(one being Joe Montana) as well as published articles written on him! Nice accolades for being one of my doctors. (What you pay for special services, like an echocardiogram, depends on your health insurance coverage and deductible. My portion of the bill was $ 219.00. BTW, this process was painless and easy– the lady was really nice too.)
