This GameStop has the best customer service in the city. They give the children special attention.

Went downhill when all the regular guys left, new girl seems forced to fake it ½ the time, I’ve avoided coming here for the past few years but idk if it’s worth taking the extra 20 minute drive to go to a store where I know they are not just talking out of their you know what …

Thanks to recent changes in staff, this Gamestop has become one of the best in Vegas. The girl who works there now during the day on the weekdays,(I used to remember her name, but now it escapes me!) is super friendly. She will strike up a conversation with you about whatever games or genres you are interested in even if they aren’t the games that are being featured that week. Somehow, she still manages to get her work done and can keep on stocking, inventorying, etc. while she’s holding her own in a conversation. I’ve worked retail before and let me tell you, that isn’t easy to do. If a new customer comes in, she’ll give them just as much attention as she gave you when you came in. If they don’t engage her in conversation after a while and you are still there, she’ll come back to you. So great compared to some clerks who will ignore you once new customers come in. Even better, she knows what she’s talking about. You can ask her anything about games and she usually knows the answer. If she doesn’t she’ll look it up rather than you or just shrugging her shoulders like some clerks do. The store itself is pretty much like every other one except that it is a bit bigger than the ones in the malls and not quite as big as the stand alone ones down in Henderson. They’ve managed to organize it so that you don’t feel cramped though. I do wish that there was a more compelling demo section though. They used to have this cool demo set up for some of the Wii and Xbox 360 games, but they haven’t done much for the Wii U or Xbox One yet. I’d give it full stars if they did. I also wish they had a box of the really really cheap games like the one up on Maryland Parkway does. That’s pretty cool. On the flip side, the clerks I’ve talked to at that one aren’t quite as much fun to visit with. I was at one down on Pecos a while back and I don’t know if it was just an off day for them or what, but they totally ignored my wife and I even though they weren’t busy and we were in there for almost an hour looking around. With these chain stores, it really is the employees who make all the difference in the world about what sort of experience you have in one of the chain’s stores.

This is a decent GameStop location. They have a better than usual used game selection, which is usually what I’m looking for. The staff here is really friendly and helpful. They are knowledgable about the games and accessories as well.

Eh, they have all the new games… they do midnight openings for the big releases. But SERIOUSLY… If I don’t want your stupid F*ing frequent customer card… Shut the F up, take my money, put my game in the bag, and maybe… just maybe I’ll come back again. Lately I’ve been buying my PS3 games from Amazon… no sales tax, free shipping, and they always seem to give you a $ 10 credit toward your next game purchase. Tough to beat that. But when Call of Duty Black Ops came out… I just had to have it as soon as possible. That coming here… which was convenient as I live close by and they opened at midnight to sell it. However when I pre-ordered it, the sales guy simply refused to quit trying to get me to get their frequent customer card… To the point where I was seriously getting pissed off. He took it to the point of laughing and commenting«that it’s just stupid not to get» this card. Uh… this was the first time I ever bought a game at game stop, I don’t trade my games in there… and after this sales guy’s «customer service» I don’t ever plan on being back. If I wasn’t so lazy I was going to call the store and talk to the manager… but whatever… I’m lazy. Maybe they get incentives on how many of those cards they get people to sign up for… and I understand sales… I’ve been in sales most of my life. If you took the first«no» for an answer you’d never sell anything. But when a customer… especially someone that’s already buying something from you… says, no thank you twice… I don’t usually buy things in your store… accept it, and move on.
