Only go if Heath will be dealing with your loan and not Forice… Got our home loan with Heath. He was amazing. Everything was done fairly quick, great rates and very personal. I would refer everyone to him if he was who you were only dealing with him.
Less than a year later we get a call about saving money with a streamline finance. This started in February where I sent in all the forms they requested. Talked to a women from the office for a week or two, she disappeared and then got passed to a gentleman. Flaky but he started working on it. Then all of a sudden to phone call or email they were gone. I trusted they were working on it and would get back to me. In reality they had hit a wall with the loan and were trying to put me on it and not just my husband which is how we had set it up originally. Well 2 months later Forice comes in to the picture. I would give Golden bear one star if just reviewing this streamline finance. He never calls back, emails, or responds to anything. When I track him down lies and BS spew from his mouth about how none of the delays or hick ups are his fault he is always the victim. When I ask questions or question his actions he gets defensive, and follows a tactic of trying to make you feel stupid for asking the questions. I was told not to pay our mortgage because we were going to be closing before the end of the month. I was worried and called a few time a week to confirm everything was on track. He told me he would pay the late fee personally if we had to end up paying it in May. May 30^th at 748pm I receive this text as follows «Good evening Ashley. It’s Forice Ham with Golden Bear. I just wanted to make sure that you and your husband made your mortgage payment for this month.» Give me a break. How thoughtful to call the last day to pay at almost 8pm or 12am eastern to remind me of something you told me not to pay Luckily I didn’t trust him anyways and had paid it the week before. That text was the last I heard from him and not that I expected it but I never did get the late fee paid. His voice mail is full so you cant leave messages. RUN FROM THIS MAN.

Started to work with Karen and she did a great job maintain communication and responded as soon as possible then I was transferred to work with Forice and it was a nightmare constant broken promises of call backs that never happened, loan amounts that were inaccurate, this lasted almost a month until I was sent back to Karen. At this time we decided to wait until next year, this decision could have been done sooner if Forice would have done his job properly instead of providing false hopes. Company and options provided did not seem bad just some of the employers.

Heath Schneider may be the most incompetent loan officers I’ve ever encountered!
He just cost & lost a wonderful home purchase for me, all the while reassuring me he was 99.9% certain our transaction would close on time! Not only did we not close on time, his tactics used up all of our grace period to the point that the seller was so disgusted with us, they wouldn’t allow us to come in with ALL CASH (hard money) if they would have granted an additional extension! To say that Mr. Schneider’s methodology alienated the seller is a mild understatement. Fortunately for us, they gave us our deposit back and basically told us we had wasted enough of their time. I hate to say it, but Heath misunderstood and misrepresented our transaction so badly, all the while acting as a sophomoric cheering section with encouragement of our impending closure! I would caution anyone considering doing business with Golden Bear Capital and Heath Schneider! We almost bought a fantastically undervalued home in a multi million dollar neighborhood… and should have had the keys by now! Heath literally blew it for us and I’m not feeling all warm and fuzzy about it! BUYER BEWARE!

Golden Bear Capital is a great company to work this. The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Mr Schneider was also great to work with.

Golden Bear Capital is without a doubt one of the best company’s to work with. The staff was second to none in customer service and patience. I would recommend contacting Mr. Schneider if you need a loan of any type. He will evaluate you and proceed at your speed. This is one of my top ten company’s to work with! I would consider it to be my lender for life.
