As far as I know, there is this studio in town and one other. I prefer Griffin mainly because the staff is very courteous and accommodating.
The are only two rooms available for rent. So space is limited. However both rooms are spacious and the rates are reasonable. Also, the AC in the building works very well. So, you don’t feel like your rehearsing in a sauna.
Like most studios that provide a back line, the equipment has seen its share of use, but every piece of equipment is maintained and sounds decent.
Acoustics in the rooms is excellent. You won’t have a problem with muddled sound. You can hear every instrument and vocals clearly and cleanly.
If you’ve never rented a backlined space before, or have been to many, give Griffin a try. Definitely worth the money. After you’ve been to Griffin, you’ll be spoiled for life.
