WOW, while in Vegas enjoying some down time I wanted to eat at local places since I had been burned out by all the food on the strip. My sister recommended this place because she had previously stumbled into Fremont street and they were having a BBQ festival. She said they could be the best ribs she has ever had. Naturally when I hear the best I hype it up myself. This place surpassed whatever expectations I had hyped up myself. The portions were huge we had enough for dinner for 2 people and then some. Next time I Visit Las Vegas this will be one of my first stops I make for food. I had the ribs, brisket, chicken and each was stupendous!!!

What a surprise this place was. I’m from Cali, will be moving to Vegas soon. I’ve been searching for decent BBQ throughout the West for years, haven’t found much good BBQ west of Texas. I was driving around Vegas looking for a lunch spot and literally stumbled upon H & H. I ordered the chicken and ribs combo. Damn, that was a lot of food. I never order ribs with sauce on them, in my opinion it’s just a cover for meat that doesn’t have much flavor. It was a busy day for me so I wasn’t thinking and forgot to ask for sauce on the side until I noticed the sauce being poured on the ribs. Damn. They did not, however, drown the ribs in sauce and actually the bottom pieces didn’t have any sauce, great. These ribs do not need sauce, the flavor actually came through even with the sauce and the bones without sauce were really, really good. Nice smokey flavor, visible smoke ring and very tender but not too tender. The chicken was great too, very tender, I could eat it with a fork. The sides were very good to but I was focused on the meats. My plate had two huge breasts and a wig along with I think 5 ribs. Best place I’ve had in Vegas so far and I’ve been to a lot there. Everybody I talk to mentions Rollin Smoke and John Mulls, both are not very good, this place beats them hands down. I see a few reviews mention consistency may be an issue, I’ve discovered that with a lot of places but I can only go by my first impression and it was very good for H $ H, I’ll be back!

I love H&H BBQ I’ve only ordered a full slab with no sides and a large Hot Link then go home and make my own sides. The BBQ is tender with the right amount of smokiness and grill flavor. I usually call in the order and it is ready for me when I get there. No complaints here, I’m glad there is one near me!!!

The food is amazing as always! I’ve known Hank since I was a kid, and he and he’s wife could always burn in the kitchen! Customer service was awesome, and very comical! The banana pudding is to die for! A very clean establishment! 5 stars from EbonyJordan

This place is not bad. The guy, Angel, was very friendly and helpful. I don’t love the location and I did feel some kind of way that there was only 1 other person in there beside me. But I will say everything was very good, except the cornbread. It was dry. But I would definitely go again.

Love this place… As long as you see the owner there. The best BBQ I’ve had in Vegas by far, as long as you see the owner there. Let me explain, I have eaten there a bunch of times, but unfortunatly the only time we go now is for lunch. There is a flavor difference between day and night is night and day! The pride in the BBQ is awesome finger licking and portion sizes Wow! The ribs are off the chain. Hot links is bomb, and you must get the catfish poboy! Yum!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed the food at the original H & H BBQ in north Vegas during a trip to Vegas a few years ago. It was disappointing to learn it shut down sometime this past year. But it was great to experience this newer version of H & H BBQ! It’s really not that far a drive from the strip and the food is well worth the drive! Today, I had the 5 piece fried catfish and it was terrific as I had hoped. Also, this newer place has plenty of room to eat in and it’s very clean. I highly recommend this place if you like BBQ!

Had lunch here yesterday with a friend of mine and let me tell you this was the I know soul food and I know my BBQ and this was so on point. I had the BBQ chicken(the chicken was perfect moist and the right amount of char and you can tell it can fresh off the pit) lunch special that comes with 2 sides and cornbread $ 6.99, keep in mind you have to buy the drinks separately. My friend ordered the 2 meat combo platter and she had the hot links and brisket. The BBQ sauce on the links and the chicken was so darn good. The collard greens, yams and Mac and cheese was on the money. The only thing that I thought could’ve used some fixing was the cornbread, it was a bit dry for my liking. We spent a grand total of $ 35– that included lunch, drinks and desserts. The service here was amazing, the women behind the counter were very friendly and always smiling. I’m happy that h&h is back and in a better location, let’s say I was pretty upset when I found out the original one closed down. Oh if you have room left for dessert– the peach cobbler is where it’s at ! PS. There’s a Drive-thru, if you’re too lazy to go inside . I’ll definitely be back ladies !

Sad this place is a hit and miss I’ve been dealing with H&H for years starting at there civic center location loved that place until I seen it on dirty dining decided to give it another try At the new rancho location. Rib tips were very soft including the gristle which tells me it’s been just sitting on heat or has been reheated day after day. Yams looked like baby food. Just mad me a little upset that they keep going further into bad business. Please read these comments.

Tried this place a few times, the ribs are excellent, the okras are pleasing, I love the black eyes peas except I find it always is a bit salty! I actually enjoy their food however I might find myself with high blood pressure if I continue to eat here. So my negative is that they ought to tone the level of salt down a bit! I recommend it but ask for no salt!

Tried this hidden BBQ spot yesterday since I’ve driven by it a few times. We ordered it to go. We were assisted by a very nice young lady. I had their Sunday special dinner special smothered oxtail dinner special with collard greens and okra. The portions are very generous between the lunch and dinner portion. Okra was salted with a light sugar taste which gave the okra nice balance of sweet and salty. Greens were bland. I was really looking forward to the cornbread, but it was ok as it was a bit dry. My wife had the brisket lunch portion with Mac and Cheese along with black eyed peas. I tried it and the brisket was very good in flavor. We asked about the mac and cheese and was told that it was made from scratch. It was made from scratch, but the flavor wasn’t what I expected. Cheesy, but pretty tasteless. Black Eyed Peas had no flavor and it tasted like it came out of a can. I also ordered an extra brisket for my son and I asked for potato salad and corn. They gave me mashed potatoes instead of potato salad instead. My daughter had the BBQ chicken and we upgraded to «white meat“which they charged us an extra dollar for, but didn’t mind paying. When we got home they only gave us one chicken breast and gave us a wing. We expected all«white meat» so if you order«white meat» be specific so they don’t give you a combo of white and dark. She had french fries and yams. She absolutely loved the yams! So definitely recommend that as a must get! Finally, we also ordered the banana bread pudding(small portion) which we almost didn’t get, but the young lady who helped us chased us to our car and indicated that if we want to go through the drive thru she would get it to us. Definitely a must get! Overall, we will probably try again and try other items on the menu. I would recommend this BBQ place if you’re hungry and want some«southern style flavor», but wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a 4 or 5 experience. I will, however, change my opinion if my next time I am here the food quality changes.

I love love loved the bbq chicken and the mac and cheese at the San Diego Jazz Festival. I will definitely pay you a visit when I make my way to Vegas. My food was so good my friend had to change her mind on what she was gonna eat after she got a taste of mine. Keep doing what ur doing!

Better than famous Daves. I just didn’t like the fact that on my last visit the pork was raw.

I tried H and H last night, and found it to be just okay. The Mac and cheese, pulled pork and bbq chicken were pretty good. The catfish was very salty which made it hard to eat. The tri tip ribs hardly had any meat on them, so I couldn’t tell you if they were good or not.

H&H Plus 2 is «Like a Box of Chocolates»…you never know what your going to get. What I mean is, when my daughter brought a bbq rib tip family dinner home from H&H, it was delicious! Prefect in every way. The meat was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The potato salad, greens, yams, and corn bread were great! I was so happy to have a bbq place within walking distance of my house that has good food. Well, now I’m disappointed because after waiting a whole week and thinking about how good the food was, I went to get a dinner and the meat was unevenly seasoned and unevenly cooked. I couldn’t even chew most of the pieces because the meat was too tough. I had to give it to my cat and she even had a had time tearing the meat apart. What makes me even more upset is that I gave a tip based on the food my daughter brought to me but had I known that I wouldn’t get to enjoy my meal… well, if I had known that I was getting a crappy meal, I wouldn’t have bought it, let alone given a tip. Too bad H&H PLUS2, I probably would have been your best customer but now I can’t take a chance on spending so much money on food that may end up in my cat’s belly. #ABoxOfChocolates!

We ordered 2 brisket dinners with mac and cheese and yams. The sides were okay, but the brisket was a pile of inedible, fatty, oily mush covered in bbq sauce. Just nasty and a waste of hard earned money.
