Hammerheads Bar and Grill East

This place is very deceiving from the outside. When I walked in I was shocked how nice it is for the area. Friendly bartender and comfortable atmosphere. Good for Singles:)

Pretty obvious that Johnny M has never been here and is using a tragedy that had nothing to do with the bar to tarnish it’s name. Shame on him… As for myself I had a good time drinking here, the drinks were cheap, the bartender was nice, and the regulars were friendly.

A very nice mother was brutally murdered and stabbed behind this bar about a week ago behind the building. Don’t go here.

For the last week or so, I have been on a bar hopping roll with some friends who came into town. Which is nice, because it gives me a chance to go out and try new places. We have been to a lot of the bars in the local casinos, but it was time to hit some of the dives.
Anyhow, we were on our way back home from another bar and decided to make a stop at Hammerheads. It is on the way and I have always wanted to stop in and check it out. Our goal was to have one shot of Jack Daniels and get out. So, we walked in, grabbed a seat at the bar, had a shot of Jack and hung out cracking wise. One shot turned into two and then we headed home.
We didn’t get anything from the kitchen but that may be something to return for, since it’s close to home.

I just came here this past weekend for NFL sunday. My team was on a bye week so we looked up my bf’s teams bars and this was listed as a 49er bar. Um. no. there wasnt a single thing in this bar that was listed as having any affiliation whatsoever with any specific team. There were several tvs all about and one tv that was near the restroom that had a litle bit of volume showing the game we came for. The bartender (ess?) told us we could move over the tall table and chairs to get a closer view. I thought that was nice of her — and it was ok. there were a few other 49er fan and one sucky packer fan who insisted in talking trash about every team my bf likes or that I like. even in baseball. Not sure if that was on purpose or that he was just trying TO BE COME OUR ARCH ENEMY!
Regardless draft beer was $ 1.50!!! wow. super cheap. Thats the cheapest I’ve ever found Michelob Ultra. BWW charges $ 4.50 for a 22 oz. draft. And this place was much cooler. older but very cool crowd @ the bar w/​fans from every team.
It was like the united nations of the NFL in there. vikings fan, nxt to a Titans fan, nxt to a Bears fan. nxt to a Saints fan (that guy brought his own cup to boot)… I really liked this atmosphere. Another lady also suggested ordering a red beer — just plain tomato juice w/​my beer (not a chelada but jsut tomato juice) really good. and you get a serving of vegetables!
oh and I got a severe case of hiccups while I was here and I’d only had 2 beers. and already I felt like a stork! A very nice lady suggested me trying bitters & lime. So the when she asked the waitress for this. she looked @ me and asked, «so you still have the hiccups, huh? «YUP! I sucked on that little piece of lime and INSTANTLY! My hiccups were gone. justl ike that. It did what cups and cups of water, sugar, and all the other dumb old wives tais and home remedies didn’t do. I’d def. come back. Its a dive bar but a dive bar w/​really cool people.
