Like most people who land on this site, I found the lowest price for a product I was looking for. Unlike most sites where you can order a larger quantity to save on shipping, a larger quantity increased the shipping to some astronomical amount. I emailed customer service asking why the shipping was so high and asked if the order could simply be placed in a FLAT RATE PRIORITY MAIL box for $ 10.95 instead of being charged $ 25 for a few bottles of vitamins. She was kind enough to adjust the shipping for me ONE TIME. $ 10.95 actually showed up on the site when I went to check out, which means the customer service person actually had some clout or had the know-​how to manipulate the site technically. But I went back to the site to order again a few months later, the default was back to the original, outrageous shipping fee. I guess I should have expected it.
Fast forward two years later, again I landed on this site for an old book I wanted. The shipping for ONE BOOK came to $ 14.14. Even if the book weighed 50 lbs., it can be shipped via media mail or book rate for a fraction of this cost, which is how Amazon does it. So I emailed customer service again, but this time, the rep was not so nice and would not adjust the shipping fee, simply wrote back that it was «correct» for «standard shipping.» What method is standard shipping? Any method they choose, I suppose, which means they are profiting off the shipping fee or they advertise low prices to get prospective buyers on the site only to make up for the profit margin with exorbitant shipping fees. Upon further research I found out that Health Superstore charges an $ 8.00 handling fee. I suspect the handling fee is much higher…

Please do not use service of this scam online store! I had a horrible experience with them. I have ordered supplement from them because they were advertising the lowest price for it. As soon as I completed my order, it was placed on hold for no apparent reason, they wanted me to call them and proove my address once again. So I called multiple times the next day, couldn’t get a hold of anyone, was holding for over 20 min on the phone. The automatic message says it’s better to contact them by email, which made me think, the phone number did not have a real person behind it. So I emailed my address, they said they will send the product next day. So I already lost 2 days. And the next day they emailed me the order was cancelled! Because they did not have the product anymore. I asked why they had the product listed then. They emailed they had the product for a doubled price now…
I sincerely don’t want anyone to get scammed by those crooks!

HORRIBLE COMPANY! After my order was placed they said that I needed to pay an addition $ 40 for overnight shipping! When I called to cancel my order they refused it, told me to try a chargeback in paypal and then hung up on me, when I tried to call back they did not answer the phone.
