Knowledgeable staff helped me create a killer theater

I have been a long term client of Image Sound and Control (10 plus years) and am a big fan of their work. They did the initial high end AV build in my house when it was constructed. Since then, besides a few times when electrical components have failed, I have not had any problems with any of their work. More importantly, when I have needed minor repairs or upgrades, they have always been responsive and knowledgeable. Don and Bill there are excellent and I highly recommend them.

I have been a client of Image Sound & Control since 2007. IMSOCO initially did the installation of my comprehensive home automation system, three home theaters and two audio systems. Since then they have handled the occasional upgrading of my primary home theater and maintained the home automation system.
IMSOCO can handle a complex job well. My home automation system, which has an AMX backbone, controls 12 zones and incorporates whole house audio, six-​zone video switching, indoor/​outdoor security cameras, temperature monitoring and control, a 17-​zone/​4 line telephone system, fireplace and automated window control, shades and lighting. My primary home theater is a dedicated facility that compares favorably with any of the Regal and Cinemark cinemas throughout Las Vegas.
There are two elements of IMSOCO which makes the company a real standout. First is their dedication to their clients. With a system of the complexity of mine, and given my propensity to incorporate further features, the responsiveness of my customer installer is key. IMSOCO is terrific that way; when something needs to be done, a company representative is there quickly (sometimes even the same day) and the work is done right the first time. Second is the knowledge base of the personnel. Designing a home automation system is an art as much as a science. Working closely with the client in determining upfront what is needed — based on how that individual/​family lives — avoids disappointment and costly modifications later. Due to IMSOCO’s lengthy experience, they are expert in the design and proper installation of a home automation system.
I also want to mention the expertise of IMSOCO in home theater and audio systems, which is what caused me to choose that company initially, as I had never had a home automation system previously. I am an audiophile, and IMSOCO has on its staff a professional musician who is the company’s primary audio expert. He has a vast knowledge of audio equipment and room acoustics, which was invaluable in ensuring that the quality of the sound in my home theaters and elsewhere throughout my home is consistently outstanding. Moreover, his recommendations were cost-​effective. Anyone can create a $ 350,000 audio system that sounds great. The challenge is to suggest a system which can get 98% of the way there while spending only $ 3,500. IMSOCO’s «audio pro» can do that. This individual was also very helpful in making sure that the projector was optimally installed and that the picture of my dedicated theater was as «perfect» as possible.
Let me finish this review by mentioning one other distinguishing attribute of IMSOCO — integrity. When the owner and staff of this company makes a promise, you can count on their word. When one of them recommends a product or system feature, you can be certain that it is done foremost not because of incremental potential profit for IMSOCO but rather because they have their client’s best interest at heart. Over the past several years, IMSOCO has received a lot of my money, but I don’t regret or question a dime of its spending with them.
There are numerous companies and individuals in the Las Vegas valley and elsewhere who offer custom home installation services and sell audio/​video products. Some are very good; others are disappointingly bad. However, none of them can match IMSOCO. It is simply the best!
