Beware… Debra offers you a free haircut or color job after a certain amount of appointments and then tells you she can’t do your hair anymore. Just happened to me today! She barely applies any color to your hair because she’s trying to save money. I realized this after I complained the previous time my hair went grey right away. After asking her to apply more color to the area, the color lasted 5 weeks! When asked to completely dry my hair because it’s curly, she complains that she is sweating! I wear my hair straight and she leaves it damp so that it will curl up. Pulls the previous customers hair out of the brush before using it on you. Lord knows the last time it was cleaned. Don’t know if she cleans the combs either. The place could use a major cleaning. It’s a bare bones operation. She boasts 30 yrs in the business but that’s all it is, lip service.

My first time here, the salon is inside above Hooters… it’s inside a large business space called Studio Salons that houses multiple small salons/spas. It was easy to find since it was the first suite inside the 2nd floor door. La Diva is run by Debra, the only hairstylist/makeup artist of La Diva. She is very friendly and knowledgeable, boasting 30 years experience. I only needed a trim but she provided me with a lot of useful information for my future visits. She did a good job, but I didn’t want much done to my hair at this time. My review will be updated once I return for a much needed hair coloring.
