I filed an application for a property listed by Go Global Realty on the advice of our Realtor. I was advised at that time there was only one other applicant for the property, however Go Global would accept our application and compare it to the existing application. This was approximately 12:30pm November 16th I took the rest of the day off of work to prepare the application, get a cashier’s check in the amount of $ 130.00, and delivered it to the Go Global office 6085 W Twain Ave #203, Las Vegas, NV89103 at approximately 2:30pm November 16th. When I arrived at the Go Global office I was informed that there were a total of 3 other applicants for the property. Two hours prior to this I had been told there was only one other applicant. I was then told by Athena Yeung the Office Manager that our application would be processed and compared to the others, the decision was to be made on Wednesday November 18th. On the 18th of November I was made aware that I was not approved for the property. This was confusing to me since I knew my existing property manger had not been contacted, my supervisor was not contacted, and my credit report was not ran. I knew that my credit report had not been ran, because I receive alerts from Credit Karma when my credit report is requested. I then contacted the office of Go Global speaking to Athena Yeung informing her of these facts, and requesting a refund on the credit application since the application was not processed. Athena Yeung informed me that Go Global had ran the application. I then said I would come to the office to get copies of the screening report. I was told by Athena Yeung that I could not get the copies of the screening report. I then informed Athena that consumers are entitled, to any credit reporting documentation that has been requested from a third party, such as Go Global, and that refusing to give me a copy was a violation of the FCRA. Athena Yeung told me she would have to speak to the property manager and contact me back, as of the time of this review I have not received a call from Go Global, or Athena Yeung regarding this matter. I called again on Friday November 20th leaving a message on Athena Yeung’s voicemail. I called again on Monday November 23rd, and left a message with the receptionist. No return call has been made. I then took it upon myself to contact the broker listed on the Go Global website Michael Ring. I emailed Mr. Ring about these issues requesting a refund in full due to the mismanagement of the application. Mr. Ring did respond, «In regards to your request for a refund, application fees are non refundable.», and«We not release copies of anyone’s credit reports.» direct quote he forgot the word not me. I was told by Mr. Ring that Go Global used AppFolio to process the screening report. The AppFolio website states they will provide a copy of the screening report. Why can’t the property management company provide it to me? This makes no sense. Appfolio also does a hard pull of your credit, which would trigger the notification to Credit Karma, again no alert was received. Mr. Ring also informed me that the property was given to a «better qualified» applicant. I am not sure how they came to that conclusion if my credit was never ran, or any of my references contacted. I would avoid this place if at all possible, the staff is not very knowledgeable on any of the properties, and it seems their only job is to collect as many application fees as possible. The fee by the way is $ 65 per person, higher than most properties management companies.
