Pier 1 is one of my favorite stores for seasonal home décor. I have been going to this store for the last couple of years and have always enjoyed their selection, quality of product and most importantly excellent customer service. They also have a pretty vast clearance section toward the back, and at times you can get entire dining sets at the clearance price. On occasion I was able to get almost entire dinnerware sets. I was short a salad bowl, but had dessert plates, regular plates, a tray, 3 salad bowls and a large salad bowl. They offered to call another store in the area to see if they had the one extra salad bowl so I could complete my set, but it really was not that big of a deal. Items that were typically anywhere between $ 8-$ 19 a piece ranged in the $ 2-$ 10 a piece. I always get compliments on my dinnerware and holiday décor. I think Pier 1 is a great happy medium between super cheap home items and the over the top overpriced name brands.

CONSUMERALERT!!! Recently I made 3 furniture purchases at Pier One, the first at the West Charleston location. I inquired about any promotion being offered, and the associate said they were not offering a promotion at this time so I made the purchase at full price. I then went to another location and made a furniture purchase where I mentioned the promotional offer and was told yes, there was a 10% offer which I could use on the piece of furniture I was purchasing. I told the associate about my purchase at the West Charleston location and not getting the 10% discount on the item purchased at that location and they adjusted the discount as well as gave me the 10% on my new purchase. Two days later I went back to the West Charleston location and purchased another piece of furniture and told the associate I just purchased 3 items two days ago, and received 10% off. The associate said«We have no promotions running at this time, in fact I had another customer inquiring about an online 10% discount but it has ended.» After making my purchase and leaving the store I happened to look online and found Pier One DID have a 10% promotion running. I then called and spoke to Jennifer the manager who stated the employee did her job by NOT telling you, we do not offer and encourage promotions. As a manager Jennifer was very curt and rude, to the point I called corporate customer relations and they actually said the same thing!!! «Any promotions offered online will never be discussed and Pier One will«LIE» about any promotions unless you produce it in some manner. Obviously this review is not going to make or break Pier One, and including myself I love the store and most likely will continue to shop there. My reason for the review is to let the consumer know to always look online and to physically bring the promotion in, in some format and don’t believe what the sales associate is telling you… they are encouraged to LIE about special offers!

Sensory overload! I never know where to start looking when I come into this store and on top of that I’m easily distracted by what’s to my left or right. The employees are always friendly. The store is an organized as it can be with all the product they carry. They have everything for your house from candles to furniture and paintings. I really enjoy their holiday selection of Christmas ornaments and decorations. I tend to look for their sale sections and shop after the major holidays to stock up at a discount for the following year,.

Rude, rude, rude, RUDE!!! I ordered a dining set(table and four chairs) from my normal Pier 1 store(which I love). Upon delivery, I noticed a couple flaws in two of the chairs, so I went to the store I purchased them from to exchange them. They were not in stock, so they directed me to this location which is about 25 minutes from where I live. When the representative from my store called to place them on hold, she asked them to check the chairs to make sure they looked nice so I would not waste a trip. I was given the ok and headed over to the Rainbow location. They offered to return them at my original store, but I opted to do an even exchange since I did not want to redo the credit card transaction. When I came into this store with the two chairs, the very first thing out of the employee’s mouth was, «I thought you were going to return the chairs at the other store.» Her tone was very abrasive; not a proper way to greet someone as far as I’m concerned. I explained to her why I did not want to do that and she said, «well, I don’t know if these chairs are going to be good enough for you.» REALLY? First of all, the other store told you that I was concerned about the appearance of the chairs and, secondly, this was not a cheap dining set… I am going to be looking at it for years and I think it’s only fair that I be pleased with it. I opted to swap one of the chairs out because it was nicer than the one I had(although not«good enough for me» as the employee so kindly suggested); the manager told the associate to «just do it.» They absolutely do not know the meaning of customer service here. Super rude, unfriendly, and uninviting. I’m so glad I live where I do and don’t have to rely on this Pier 1 for my home decorating needs. I will not be returning here, even for a candle.

Pier 1 Imports is a store that has just about everything to help decorate and entertain. I can always find something from candles to rugs, to pillows to cookie jars. I was so excited walking in. The smell of the candles and the wicker… transports me somwhere tropical and in the fall the pumpkin spice candles and aromatherapy selection is the best! Anyway, this is a smaller store and the area… at night can be sketchy.

I really enjoy going to this Pier 1. The staff here is super friendly, I would say more so than at other locations I have been to in the valley. I’m always greeted warmly and they are super helpful at locating items for me. Pier 1 can be a bit overpriced, so I usually go in for sales. I’ve gotten some awesome furniture here for great prices! They are always really good about calling the other stores and putting stuff on hold for me if they don’t have it at this location. Definitely my favorite Pier 1, so it’s a good thing it’s the closest one to my house!
