Prospector Joe’s

This «restaurant» and I use that term loosely, is located within the Holiday Inn Vacation Club Desert Resort. We just happen to be staying there and wanted breakfast. I knew this might be bad, but I didn’t know it would be this BAD. We walked on over from our room.
This is what happens when you have a captive audience, and any other restaurant means driving and parking near the strip. So, you think I’ll just come here, how bad can it be? Well, to start off, when we arrive around 8:30, there are already a bunch of people waiting to be seated and a bunch of empty tables are in plain view. Just 2 staff seem to be working. One ringing up a check and the other cleaning off a table that didn’t need cleaning right now, but he should have been seating people at the clean empty tables. Training people!
So finally they get people seated. I order the easy 2 eggs scrambled, potatoes and toast with sausage. Pretty simple breakfast right? The food finally makes it out and holy cow! The eggs taste just like the fake eggs you get at the FREE Holiday Inn Express breakfast, as do the rest of the items, sausage included all for $ 8 bucks. This breakfast is at exactly the same level and quality as a free included breakfast, but this wasn’t free! I know, I stay at Holiday Inn Express a ot for business. I will never eat here again! Besides the poor service and ineptitude, when the food sucks too, I’m so outta here! If you decide to eat here anyways, don’t say I didn’t warn you! Even Denny’s is better.

Burrito, pancakes, bacon, fruit all were very good for breakfast. Service was a little slow but it’s quite busy with one waitress at 10 AM on a Tuesday. Starbucks as well. Would recommend.

Convenience store on the Holiday Inn Desert Club property. Yes, the prices are more expensive than if you were to go to a regular grocery store — that’s to be expected for an on property store. It’s about convenience, not the lowest price. For such a small store they really did a great job of providing the necessities — anything you would want to pick up for a quick breakfast or lunch, they have. They also have a good variety of health and beauty necessities and some clothing. Fun asian food items. Super friendly staff.
