WHAT A JOKE!!!
I used to LOVE Radio Shack. Especially this location. I work in Summerlin, so it’s been a couple years since I’ve been here. Talk about going downhill.
I went in for BASIC electronics. I wasn’t looking for any specialty items. They were so under-stocked it was ridiculous. Something as simple as insulated connectors. I’ll attach a photo of their drawer.
Then I looked for wire. Only one size. The best part… no electrical tape or heat shrink!!! Heat shrink, electrical tape, wire, and connectors are basic electronics supplies.
Do us a favor and remove «hobby supplies» from your description. Be honest and call yourself a Mobile Phone Retailer.

I went in to get some parts for my scanner that I’m repairing and I found part of what I was looking for and the rest of it I needed assistance from the employees.
Of course the item I needed needed to be looked up because the device that I’m rebuilding is specific, it was like they couldn’t be bothered to look it up initially. (not like they were busy, I was the only customer)
I had to ask the employee their name because neither one had name tags, what’s with that does that mean you don’t put on a name tag so when you give terrible service no one can call you out?
I do have to thank Leslie for the terrible experience at this Radio Shack, I’ll go out of my way not to come here again.

The only thing worse than the store manager’s attitude was perhaps his hygiene. Rude as all hell. I’m done with this place. I’m off to Fry’s. Update: radio shack price: 10.48. Fry’s 3.22

I have always been a fan of Radio Shack. Ever since my dad had his own store in the early 80’s here in Las Vegas. He would send my sister Linda and I electronic gadgets that we could use in Germany. I still have my radio, tape recorder, speakers and a couple of other items and they still work!
The Radio Shack we frequent is by Sams Club on East Tropicana. The most important thing for me is that the staff is knowledgeable and informed because I usually have questions. Every time I have been in this store I have had great customer service, the store is well maintained and the staff actually like being there which says a lot for standard operating procedures being followed and pride in what you do. Kudos to Ron, Leslie and Dee. You heard me!

One Radio Shack is pretty much like another most of the time but the staff here were helpful without being stalkers, there was a decent selection (no empty shelves due to the New Year clearance sales), and they had evening hours even though they looked like the only open business at 7:30 pm when I went.
