I have no issue with Richard’s skills. My issue was being over-billed, a refusal discuss the specifics of the bill, being sent to collections based on the over-billed figure, and when I was found to be correct… a refusal to apologize. When Richard had his business in Superior, CO I had extensive work done. My insurance covered almost all the bill except for $ 4. However, I received an invoice for nearly $ 90. When I analyzed the bill I discovered they charged me twice for a line item. I attempted to explain this to Richard’s office mgr/book-keeper however she insisted the figures were correct. She refused to go over the bill in detail. After several rebuffs, I decided to bypass the office mgr and speak to Richard directly. My calls were never returned. I even sent a certified letter to Richard in an attempt to reach him directly. The letter came back refused and I still have that letter to this day. Next my bill was changed to $ 55 without explanation. I was turned over to collections and received calls from bill collectors. Finally I complained to the insurance company. They ruled in my favor and I paid my $ 4. The cherry-on-top was when I received a letter from Richard stating he was dropping me as a patient. The letter reminded my of a Gary Larson Far Side cartoon. In summary, I give Richard 4-figures worth of business, he over-charges me, refuses to sit down w/me to look at the billing error I found, he sics a collection agency after me, refuses to meet with me to reconcile the dispute man-to-man, was found to have over-billed, refuses to apologize, and sends a letter stating to me that he is dropping me as a patient. I left out a lot of other unpleasant details dealing w/Richard’s ‘You’re Wrong I’m Right’ officer manager. In sum, doing business with Richard left a bad taste in my mouth.
