I love rolling fusion! My favorite is the fish taco! I love the combination of the crunchy fish, that tastes so fresh. The avocado cream and sun dried tomato spread is delicious and smooth. The slaw is flavorful and adds an amazing texture. The jalapeño slice adds the perfect amount of heat! I normally do not like tongue, but the great chefs of rolling fusion have made me a fan!

What can I say about Rolling Fusion, but I’ve been extremely impressed with the food that this gourmet truck has been putting out. Honestly for the price these tacos are pretty amazing plenty of food(3) tacos for 9 bucks with everything being made fresh with fresh ingredients all made to order with finesse and care. My personal favorites are the Ahi Tuna which is alway fresh, light and flavorful. I love the garnish of the thinly sliced succulent jalapeño on top to give it that bite of heat to set off all the other flavors. The second favorite is the Pork Belly tacos yes. pork belly. This glorified bacon is cooked to perfection with a crispy crust almost comparable to a chicharon with a nice meaty delicious mouth watering interior. The eggplant kimchee does the trick of bringing out these amazing complexity of flavors making you wish there were more than 3 in an order(hey I’m a big Guy) So if you are hungry, and want some mind blowing tacos, and you can find them… don’t miss out Rolling Fusion they are amazing!

Oh good, there’s actually a business listing already for this. I didn’t know how I’d caution people away otherwise. I seem to be starting an unfortunate pattern of having not-so-great experiences when I go off friends’ ideas. I love my friends still, but I was expecting something better from Rolling Fusion today. After all, they were at the Great American Foodie Fest, and they showed up to Sunset Park’d today with a similar if not identical menu. Their menu items almost all come in the form of three tacos, and that made sharing within the trio of my friends and I convenient. My choice was the Skirt Steak Tacos($ 9), and one of my friends went for the Thai Fried Chicken Tacos($ 9). The Skirt Steak Tacos looked promising with chimichurri, roasted corn spread, and fried plantain, lettuce, and queso fresco listed as ingredients. The flavors just seemed muted overall. The meat was not flavorful on its own, and the sauce elements and whatnot did not bestow enough flavor to make it taste like much. I was really disappointed in the lack of corn flavor in particular. The tortilla was seemed most prominent to my taste buds, and unfortunately, they didn’t really oil/grill up those starchy suckers. It’s a shame. The Thai Fried Chicken Tacos were better. I got more mileage out of the coconut milk, lemongrass, honey wasabi, and green papaya slaw. The chicken breading was nice and crunchy too. Still, it’s not comparable to any good Thai dishes in the various restaurants of that sort available in town, and I wouldn’t get it again or recommend it. This is more of a 2.5 rating, but I’m giving Rolling Fusion some sympathy since they look like a family-run business. I hope they work on improving their recipes, and I do wish them success because of the promise of their concepts, but they probably won’t find much support on my dime.

While attending the All American Foodie Fest we had the opportunity to try Rolling Fusion. My fella and I tried the Thai fried chicken tacos. They were good. Small, but good. The chicken had good flavor. They were a little on the dry side and I had hoped for more of a coconut flavor. If I ever tried them again I’d likely ask for more sauce to use as a dip. The service was friendly and we didn’t have to wait long for our food like other food trucks we have tried in the past.
