I was sent here from Frazee due to them phasing out the oil based paints. As I walked in this young kid at the looked up as if I were interrupting his day. His greeting to me was what do you need. I told him I needed to purchase a gallon of oil based paint, he said okay. I showed him the paint code I had from Frazee paint. He pointed at the one I had just showed and said that’s it. I said yes. He wrote it down then asked for my name and number. He then said is that it. I confirmed he said ok they’ll call you. I had to ask how long, he said sometime this afternoon if it’s done before that we’ll call you.(It was 11:40am when I was there) No thanks no price no exact time nothing to indicate he was anything less than miserable doing what he was doing. If not for being in a bind and need the paint today I swear I would sooner buy paint at the Walmart paint counter than here! I HATETHISPLACE! I have never had an issue at Frazee! Those guys are great and just north on the right!

This Sherwin Williams Store can be found on the west side of Valley View just north of Sunset Drive. It can be easy to miss in the midst of a nondescript strip mall. I stopped by to pick up an extra gallon of paint for the new house. Even though the house is new, we did decide to add a wall to the second story(long story as to why). When the workers doing the job started getting low on paint, I had to rush out and get another gallon to make sure there was enough to finish the job. Because we wanted to make sure the paint was going to be an identical match(duh) we HAD to go with Sherwin Williams since that is what the builder used. We picked up the first gallon from the Sahara and Arville location several days earlier. It cost roughly $ 36. For some reason, the exact same amount, same paint, same everything now cost $ 56 at this location. So, naturally, that begs the question, why? I never got an answer. Unfortunately, time was very much an issue and I simply did not have time to make that drive for the sake of saving $ 20. So, I bit the bullet and just paid it. It’s a shame, too. The two guys who were there at the time were friendly and helpful. This would have been a 4 star review if it wasn’t for the price difference. Since I need that specific paint for my house, I can’t say I won’t be back. I’ll just have to hope I have the time to drive to the Sahara and Arville location. It doesn’t make much sense to me and I can’t help but feel like I got taken. I don’t think anybody likes that feeling. 2 stars.
