Service was great but the steak was not what I expected. It was good but I guess I was expecting a little more out of a well known steakhouse. Salads, sides, deserts and wine selection were all what I would expect. As I proof read this review I guess it comes down to expectations. Mine were higher for such a well known steakhouse.

My family celebrated my wife’s bday dinner on 5⁄28 and were treated to the Chiefs table. We were a party of 7 and fit nicely in this room. The room had a glass partition between us and the kitchen which made for great viewing for me and our guests. We started with a salad wedge, tuna tartar, and carpitchio. Every bite was fantastic. They could sell the bacon in their salad as a stand alone appetizer. I had the Filet Mignon. One of the best steaks I have ever had. Tender, juicy, and very flavorful. The aging gives it a nice deep finish. The wife had the bone in rib eye and my sample of it was also amazing. Our guests had various cuts which they all seemed to enjoy. We ordered corn, mushrooms, onion, and whipped potatoes as sides. All were great tasting. The service is top notch with the team of Gino and Juice. Eddie, who was not our server, came in and gave my little one a tour of the kitchen. He then drew a picture of her on the glass. She loved the special attention. Thank you to the whole staff for making this a wonderful night.

More meat please! Came here for a big bachelor party and had a pretty enjoyable experience. Place: seemed to have an old school steakhouse vibe. Classic designs and we got our own private room. We had a huge group of 18 people and they didn’t charge extra for the room or have any minimum purchase per person like other steakhouses did. They even accommodated moving our reservation back 30 minutes and us arriving about 10 minutes late after that(some of us may have been tired from some Vegas activities…) One complaint was that the music was a little loud, we asked them to turn it down and they gladly did. Service: awesome! 5 stars. Both the waiters were very personable and helpful. The main waiter took time to explain the whole menu. They joined in on some conversation and made it a great experience. They were very quick to seat us, zero complaints here. Food: 3 stars. I have a thing for trying ribeyes at different steakhouses and this lands somewhere in the middle. It is a huge portion but I think it seemed a little bland and dry. I didn’t get any rubs, just the steak. I would probably opt for an enhancement or cajun next time. We pretty much got all the sides on the menu and those were great. I really liked the lobster mac & cheese(if you like it creamy) and mushrooms(great companion to the steaks). They also gave complimentary bread that was in a caprese style which was delicious. Also you can’t beat the location of this place, right on the strip and you don’t have to walk through a hotel to get there. You can get dropped off right at the front in case you’re strapped for time. Overall a great experience. Top notch service, and while the steak wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, everything else was superb.

Great! As always. Amazing food, fantastic service. There are so many great choices in Vegas but we try to hit this place frequently. It’s always been super good and a favorite of mine for over 15 years.

This place has a fantabulous wine pairing program! Their fantastic steaks are awesomely put together when what feels like your own private sommelier comes over and gives you great advice… The whole meal is just about perfect! The only reason I gave 4 stars & not 5 is because of the LONG wait times… I understand large parties &/or many courses can yield longer than normal dining times, but we were there for literally HOURS!!! It was a little much; but other than that, the service & food more than made up for it…

Come here everytime we come to vegas. Which is about 4 times a year. Honestly, we would not come here if it was not for Matt, our waiter. I’ve worked in the restaurant business for over 10 years and that is by far the best way to I have ever seen. We have left after making reservations here after finding out that he wasn’t working. He makes the whole dining experience that much better. If you come out here, ask for Matt, the guy from New York. He will make your dinner experience that much better.

Food was good, service was great, our waiter was the best, the staff was insanely friendly and they made the experience quite memorable for a night that should be memorable. I remember seeing this place when we would come in to visit as a kid with this weird lion/sheep hybrid statue that used to sit out front but this was my first time actually coming in for a visit. Our visit was a night of celebration for my husband and his company. I had the Angry Shrimp w/whipped potatoes and it was UH-mazing. It was displayed in a «Shrimp & Grits» kind of way that I’m familiar with lol. Beverages — red wine and Moscow mules, so yummy. The Gist: she’s a high end restaurant that has been around FOREVER but I know that I would never come in on my own for $ 41 shrimp or $ 55+ steaks, but that’s just me. I would rather go to Ellis Island: $ 12 steak, potato, veggie, w/soup or salad, that’s more of my style. BUT, on the company dime, yes please! Ha! The End.

Wine week! Wine week always happens twice a year here. It always benefits charity so I can day drink for a cause. I’ve been here plenty on times not on wine week but the most recent was a wine week lunch. First question, what happened to the lunch menu?! They used to serve a great lunch(smaller portions of the dinners) but the only lunch menu they had was filled with burger options. Who wants a burger at Smith and Wollensky’s??! Well apparently I do because I did not want to order a dinner so I could enjoy my appetizer, salad and dessert. Don’t get me wrong. It’s was a delicious $ 19 burger. The food is always spectacular and I love that pretzel bread. For dessert, if you don’t enjoy chocolate like me, get that coconut cake! It is too large to eat alone but I won’t judge anyone who tries.

Came here with a group of friends to get our meat on and it didn’t disappoint. From the start the service was good and attentive and that was the case through the duration of our meal. We started off with a seafood mix(the Ralph Wollensky and that was pretty tasty– seafood was fresh. My friend and I decided to split the 48oz Porterhouse for two. That was definitely worth it, the steak was cooked perfectly, it was a fun spectacle to see such a large chunk of meat in front of us, it was pre cut for us, and came with some veggies as well. Too bad we didn’t realize that before, we didn’t have to order as many sides!

Came here with a friend while we had to attend separate conferences in Las Vegas last week. I started with the Chilled Iceberg Wedge, lots of flavor and yes it looks like tons of dressing but there was lots of lettuce to soak it all up… yum! He had the zesty mixed greens salad. We ordered a bottle of red, I can”t remember the name nor can I see the small print on the picture below LOL but it was amazing! Full body, woodsy taste. Dinner-I had the Filet Oscar 10 oz. filet mignon with colossal lump crab meat, asparagus and hollandaise, a must try, this plate is deep with layers of flavor, he had the Bone in 16oz Filet. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and prompt. There are so many Steak restaurants in Las Vegas however Smith & Wollensky is a must try!

3rd time here., Dirty martini is a MUST w cheese olive. I recommend steak tartare, mix greens, and cream spinach. Very delicious. For a party of 3 — porterhouse steak for 2, salad, appetizer, 3 cocktails, cream of spinach — approx $ 200

This is my 2nd time visiting this location. Great service and the food is what you would expect from a classic style steak house. They took reservations over the phone. The New York strip is my choice. Mac and cheese is the best I have ever had. Whipped potatoes and Wollensky salad were also a hit at the table.

Loved the atmosphere! We were treated like royalty. Our drinks were constantly filled. The free rolls were amazing. The steaks were good! But the sides were to die for– the Brussel sprouts were the best I’ve had, Mac n cheese was marvelous & highly recommend the mashed potatoes!!! The pea soup was ok– not much substance for $ 8. The manager checked on us several times. I’d go back again!

went to Smith and Wollensky for dinner last week. We thought since the time before Christmas dinner, we would try on just a regular night. We had the same above board service, the staff there is so great! They welcomed us back and seated quickly. The manager actually was kind enough to choose my wine, a lovely Pinot Noir, and then our wait staff took care of all our dinner needs. Great meal, great service and yes I see us going back frequently. My husband is a carnivore, and hes picky about his steak, and so this is his favorite place to get dinner now. Thanks again for making us feel so special

So many Vegas steakhouses, this one is fabulous, I must say, the service is 5star worthy! If you want a delicious steak, This steakhouse should be on your list to visit. A meal for two $ 250.00 a real treat… You will enjoy it.

This was adequate. If I am going to pay a la cart and 60 bucks for the steak alone, a few things have to happen: Excellent service, excellent room and excellent food. FOOD: Salad was ok, nothing special except the real yummy bacon in it. Had a side of creamed spinach. My bench mark for that is from IZZY’s in San Francisco. This creamed spinach tasted like frozen chopped spinach with some bland cream. Seltzer water was a small bottle of Canada dry. Low class for this sort of eatery. My rib steak came out over cooked. I sent it back and got a new one and it was perfect! Loved it! SERVICE: Service was very good. Pleasant waiters who were knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. When my steak came out over, they took it away no bantering. Even brought out more spinach. Would have been great if the spinach was good. Good creamed spinach always tastes like more, after all! ROOM: Shoddy. Yes, worn and drab and old. Woodwork was not polished. Bar seemed like an old pub bar. This kinda money means a well appointed room. BIGFAIL here. Morton’s, Lawry’s both got them beat hands down. So does Gallagher’s at New York New York and Hugo’s at the Four Queen’s. SOOOO many good steak houses in Vegas that you do not have to settle for this kind of room and food.

Classic steakhouse feel and a good selection of food. The fish is fresh and the filet is great! Service is excellent. When ordering wine just get the whole bottle vs. buying an individual glass. I wish we had that option.

Wow, I absolutely loved this place! I’m as picky as they get when it comes to my steak. I’ve been to so many steakhouses and a lot of them just don’t get it right even when they charge you an arm and a leg. Well, Smith and Wollensky has it right. From the friendly hostesses at the front door, the assistant helping clean the table, the super friendly waitstaff to the delicious steak. I mean wow! I’m impressed. First we started with a wedge salad. We didn’t want to eat too much and ruin our appetite so me and my hubby split it. They were kind enough to split it for us. Perfect portions, super fresh greens and yummy blue cheese dressing. Next came the filet Oscar steak and truffle mac and cheese. I requested medium rare and it was just that. Perfect flavor, juicy, covered with delicious lump crab meat and asparagus. Yum! The Truffle Mac and cheese was to die for. Melt in your mouth cheesy wonderfulness. I also tried my hubby’s filet au poivre and the sauce was simply sinful. Nothing short of perfect. To top it all off the staff was super friendly. We were Christmas Day diners and they gave us each a $ 25 bonus card for dining with them on the holiday. The card can be used between January thru end of February. What a pleasant surprise and gift. Our waiter was also just phenomenal. Big shout out to John from Jersey. Attentive, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I used to be a huge Ruth’s Chris advocate and would tell people that there’s no one better than Ruth’s Chris. Well, S&W officially proved me wrong. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated as well as I was treated at S&W. It’s official. S&W you’ve made a fan out of me! I’ll be back sooner than later! Thanks for an amazing Christmas dinner!

So gerne wieder!

Seafood Super, Steak verbesserungswuerdig.
