I just made my last and final trip to this smoke shop for cigars. Despite having excellent prices you don’t know what the price is. About 80% of their cigar inventory is unmarked. I would recommend going to the downtown location which has a better selection and they also list the prices

Snow Mountain Smoke Shop is a place most people come to get their cancer sticks, but it’s also a great convenient store to stop at when travailing to/from Vegas or if you plan on spending a day in nature(plenty of nearby options on either side of the road… Mt Charleston/DWNR) this is a nice stop for some essentials. Out front they have picnic tables where you can have some grub or relax and inside is clean and stocked well. You will find all your usual convenient store suspects like ice cream bars, candy, jerky, bottled and fountain drinks, alcohol and a few things to eat in the snack bar area. When it comes to tobacco they have a big selection and there is a separate cigar room. It wouldn’t be a convenient store in Vegas if there wasn’t slot machines, so they have some of those along the wall to the right of the cigar room and if you win big you can use some of the winnings to buy one of the many dream catchers they have for sale inside or other gift shop type merchandise they have to offer. This is definitely a smoke shop however it has a little bit of something for everyone making it a nice pit stop for families when passing by.

Okay I have been frequenting this smoke shop for about 10 years. I purchase my Cigars from both locations. The service from Snow Mountain Smoke Shop versus the one down town is like night and day. Cigar Smokers beware because you are not welcome there. When you walk in you will see a row of Video Poker Machines usually with 4 – 5 gamblers enjoying a few hands of poker as well as smoking their favorite cigarettes. Cigarette smokers are welcome, Cigar Smokers are not. From the moment you purchase your cigar and light it most of the employees feel it is important to inform you how you’re your cigar stinks. I understand ideally it would if one would pay for their cigars and leave but it is also nice to sit down for a moment and play a few hands of poker and enjoy a cigar. I was even asked by the Manager to put my cigar out. I get it, anywhere else in Vegas unless it’s a bar or a Cigar lounge Cigar smokers are not usually welcome, but this is a smoker shop. I have never spent so much at a particular establishment and been treated so poorly. Thank God one can purchase cigars on the internet, so much for trying to support local business.

Cheapest gas on 95! Great convenient store with plenty of snacks inside. Good stop on your way out of town

We stopped here on the way back into town after checking out the Desert Wildlife Refuge. I was pleased to see that gas prices were in line with stations down the hill. If you need smokes, cigars or chew, they have a full assortment of tobacco products. There is also a good variety of snacks and beverages including fountain Diet Dr. Pepper. Souvenirs? They’ve got those too. The staff was friendly and the place was clean.

If one was traveling south bound on the 95 and was in need of something other than a .75 cent small soda or cigarettes, I would recommend you just keep on going until you hit Durango. If one was north bound on the 95, I would recommend if you were in need of anything other than a .75 cent small soda of cigarettes, you get off at Durango. I don’t smoke but my small soda was A-OK. I rolled out here on a recon mission from Farm to give it a look-see, to see what this establishment had to offer. All I basically found were the same, yet slightly inflated prices you would find everywhere else with the exception a rocking, ice cold, small in serving size Barq’s root beer. When in this region of the valley, I should see no reason to stop whatsoever, unless you were in need of petro to get you to either Reno or Vegas.

A stop before you hit up Mt. Charleston or a good stop on the way to northern Nevada. Small selection of snacks — they need to widen to get that high profit margin on snacks. Reasonable price on their snacks. One of those little Frito Lay bags was .88cents! Cigarettes by the case. Cheap! No sales tax has to be a bonus. Minimal selection of gloves, hats, glasses etc. PLUS — they do have matchbooks :)

huge assortment of smokes. little snack options. friendly cashiers. Not much to say about this tiny little shop located close to Mt. Charleston. No tax. big plus. especially if your a smoker… lower prices n such. they have jerky and chips. Soda, water, alcohol.

Obviously, the main draw to Snow Mountain Smoke Shop is the selection of tobacco. I am not a smoker, so I can’t really comment on the pricing or selection other then to say that tobacco takes up the majority of the real estate here… If you are headed to Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, the Snow Mountain Smoke Shop is your last chance to get gas. It is for this reason alone that I have made a handful of visits. You can also pick up snacks and drinks, but be forewarned, the liquor selection is quite small. The cashier explained that due to the fact that the shop is on an Indian reservation, they are not allowed to sell anything but beer.

Okay, let’s get this out of the way, à la 12-Step: I admit I’m powerless over tobacco. Maybe a Power greater than myself could restore me to sanity. But until that happens, I’m going to get my fix wherever I can get it at the lowest price. And that place is the Snow Mountain Smoke Shop. Here’s where I got divorced from the Marlboro Man after a long-term marriage and began my affair with [a] Native: he’s all-natural, doesn’t believe in additives, and is very low-maintenance, requiring nearly half as much support money as MM used to suck out of me. I used to go to the Main St. store, but then I realized it’s a much easier drive on 95N than dealing with traffic and downtown. It’s only about 4 miles past the Durango exit, and once past that, it’s clear sailing — even during rush hour — with a 70 mph speed limit. And while you’re there, you can gas up your car, at prices that often are less than in-town prices. As much as I wish I weren’t, I have to admit I’m a fan.

As far as cigar/smoke shops go, the snow mountain/Paiute Smoke shop delivers on certain areas and lacks in others. They offer a wide selection of pack and carton cigarettes at great prices. They have a humidor, but it lacks a strong enough humidifier to keep all the cigars from drying out. The cigar selection is weak in comparison to a lot of the more traditional cigar stores in Las Vegas… the store is more like a mini-mart with a humidor. Overall, the worker behind the counter was very friendly and I would definitely go back and buy from the store if I was in the area, however, it contains nothing other than a good price on certain items that would ever make me travel that far on a whim.

My cigar shop of choice located in the Paiute Reservation. The place is basically a convenience store with a walk-in humidor that carries a good selection of cigars. They offer cigarettes too.
