Always great service and help with everything. They always have what I’m looking for and are eager to help with any projects I’ve done.

I really enjoy coming here! All the employees are extremely helpful and always go out if their way to help a newbie at this whole gardening thing. They also always offer to help me carry out my soil or any heavy items for me. I feel comfortable asking any questions, no one ever makes me feel stupid, and if someone I ask doesn’t know the answer they find someone who does. This place is great and I will forever be a loyal customer!

There is a good selection of garden supplies at reasonable prices. Their plants and trees were in great shape. I ended up buying some herbs, plants, pots and containers. I have also bought landscaping materials in the past. The staff here is always willing to help and carry your items to your vehicle without asking. I am happy with this nursery.

Don’t tell anyone, but sometimes I like to come here just to smell the roses!
Besides that, of course, I have to purchase a new plant, flowers or fruit tree … or something to my garden.
Even the humming birds needed new feeder a few days ago. So I went to get one! They cost $ 9.99-$ 19.99, not cheap at all! I found a nice painted glass feeder for $ 12.99.
I was amazed by the variety of fruit trees we walked by in the back of the nursery. Almost all of them have little fruits already.
It’s fascinating to see what we can grow in our garden, even here in the desert.
Many times I come here to get advise about growing the vegetables in my garden. What types are more likely to survive in the summer heat? What plant food to purchase? How to protect my pretty flowers from bugs, etc …? I know, I can google all my questions, but it’s more enjoyable to talk to a human being. Am I right? Anyway, I always get answers from people working in this place, and I really like it.

This guy at rock yard driving the loader is an ashole, skinny guy looks and acts angry every time i go there. Seriosly this guy needs to find another job because he doesnt look happy doing his job.

Pretty confident we will never return to this location. Went recently on a Sunday morning (2÷7÷2016), there were several workers, one of which offered help towards the end of our visit (yay you get 1 star) Stood in checkout about 15 minutes behind a family of kids who were placing a special order and had no clue what they wanted. There was one kid just sitting there who wasn’t doing anything while the other worker rang them up. Never once did they say we would be right with you or anything. After 15 minutes we asked if there were any other registers to which the kid who was doing nothing replied «nope» so we left and went to home depot where we were promptly greeted and in and out with the same stuff we were going to purchase at star for cheaper and friendlier service.

Was offered help within MINUTES! Wow. That doesn’t happen at Home Depot. Was also given help loading my car. Good selection, but the service is what will make me come back.

Came here in a pinch. Went to prune my vertical garden to find a crew of ants much ing away on my lettuce. Grrr! Last thing I want to do is spray my poor vegetables that I have grown from seed with harmful chemicals. The nice staff there recommended an organic spray called Captain Jack’s Dead Bug Brew. Love the name! Apparently some unique spore was found in an old abandoned run distillery in the Carribean which is somehow a natural bug repellant. It’s been two weeks and I haven’t seen any more traces of any pests and that was only after one application. Thanks Star Nursery for talking me off the ledge and helping me find a product I felt safe to use!!!

Don’t even bother wasting your money on the products that are sold at Star Nursey, and you can forget about customer service if you have any issues. Jared, a manger at the Blue Diamond store, is likely to be one of the worst managers in existence. I purchased Star Nursery’s Dr. Q Sod & Seed starter package along with a package of Top Soil based on one the recommendations of one of Star Nursery’s associates at its Tropicana location. I followed the instructions per the sales associate; however, the product did not work as advertised — grass did not grow. I attempted to return the product at the Blue Diamond location for store credit and was met with hostility by Jared.
Jared told that I needed to go to the Tropicana store and «deal with it» over there. From my understanding, Star Nursery is not a franchise and customer service inquiries can be handled at any location. Furthermore, he claimed that I did not use the product correctly. Strange, because he never once asked me how I used it. Not only is his management skills lacking, but so is his fortune telling skills. He refused to refund my purchase because he claimed he could not re-​sell the product since the packages were open. Yes, I understand that; however, how is it my fault if your company recommends a product and it does not work? Also, what does it matter which store the product was purchased from? It’s the same company Jared! He was quick to brush me off and essentially ignored me as I stood there. No empathy, no apologies and no recommendations to help me fix the problem I still have, which is no grass. Great customer service Jared!
I will point out that my total purchase cost was $ 10 for the sod seed and soil. Prior to this, I purchased over $ 1,500 in pavers, trees and shrubs. I intended to purchase another couple hundred dollars of additional trees and shrubs on that day. Instead, thanks to Jared, I will be shopping at Moon Valley nursery in the future. Hopefully, others will read this comment and not make the same mistake as I did. So, for $ 10, Jared caused his store to lose hundreds if not thousands of dollars in future potential sales as a result of his inaction.
To Star Nursey’s executive management team: Jared, your store manager, is cutting away at your profit by causing your customers to shop at your competitors.

Let me clarify very good service and very bad service! Do not take a delivery from them if they are not clear on the facts. My wife went to blue diamond got good service upon arrival buying to good size trees explaining different trees and good for sun etc„ and 2 big pots. She made it clear they needed to be potted and delivered, $ 500 for everything, ok cool! then doomsday arrived for a tuesday delivery! I was expecting these trees to arrive they did not! As i was leaving i saw on my front lawn! 2 massive potted trees weighing 200 pounds each, and empty can, and empty soil bags, Ok how the frig do i move these to the back patio? by the way when they delivered my car was out front and the gate was open, Holy cow knock on the fn door?
Do you think maybe upon buying and setting up delivery the clerk would say «Hey by the way, the driver is going to come to your house pot these trees on your front lawn, Leave his garbage and then whisper good fucking luck moving them! are you kidding me! we called they said we’ll get back to you tomorrow. i guess when you pay $ 45 for delivery don’t expect much

I have shopped here numerous times buying plants for our front and back. They have a great selection of fruit trees, flowers and drought tolerant plants.
We bought 6 dwarf fruit tress and several drought tolerant plants. We also just this weekend bought landscaping rocks to include delivery. I was really pleased with the price and the delivery.
We had bought a couple of bushy flowers that did not survive. They have a no hassle return policy and I have to admit it was quick and painless. This is a great place for all your landscaping needs.

Great selection of garden/​landscape supplies at good prices. We got all of our supplies for starting a vegetable garden here, from soil to plants to sun shade covering. The variety and condition of their vegetable plants were great compared to other places we looked. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We even rented a wheelbarrow for a day for $ 5! We are also looking to put some artificial grass in our backyard and they even have the supplies to do this as well.
Very convenient location for us off of Blue Diamond Rd. We will continue to shop here.

Absolutely love this place, and the ladies outside are so helpful! If you’re full of questions, go ask them first, they don’t even mind lol.

We were just at this location for a few hours. A wonderful employee, who works at the specialist booth, spent at least an hour with us trying to find extreme heat/​sun/​drought tolerant plants for our south facing balcony. She, from her own experience, suggested we use Bayer Complete to help protect the tree and other shrubs and plants we purchased. After thanking her for all her wonderful help and thoroughly enjoying our lengthy trip, we stop by the pesticide/​fertilizer aisle close to the front of the store to find what she recommended. To my surprise, the guy working that section, not only told me the lady, who spent an hour with us, did not know what she was talking about and insisted on suggesting another cheaper brand (we’re talking pennies here) that didn’t have both ingredients the Bayer Complete had and refused to help compare the two Bayer products I initially asked him about. Well, embarrassing my husband, I told him what I thought and dismissed him.
I really wish I looked at his name tag, but I was so upset… I cannot possibly see this tall blonde dude having a green thumb at all.
I’m just mentioning him so if you do see a tall blonde dude working the aisles inside, avoid him like the plague.
Otherwise, totes 5 stars! Even the cashier was awesome, and adorbs! ^_^

Hi I just wanted to leave a very positive review for a awesome lady named Dessi !! Me and my husband came in yesterday to get our yearly fresh cut Christmas tree and Dessi was such a joy. So upbeat and friendly. Was even informed she came in on her day off to help. Because of the busy holiday season. Now that’s commitment to her job and customers. I thanked her for coming in and helping us. On her day off. A lot people wouldn’t do that and me and my husband appreciate her work ethic. Please let management know she is a keeper. Give her a raise! Happy holidays!

I called the other day to make sure they would be open till 6pm. The girl on the phone told me yes. The website says 6 and chickie on the phone said 6. I had a coupon for a Christmas tree…
Well guess what? I got there at 5:30 and they were closed. You suck Star Nursery. I was going to give u my business because I wanted my Christmas tree. Home Depot got my money instead. Again, you suck.

My go to place for most of my gardening needs.
Employees are very nice and friendly here. They very helpful when it come to anything you need help with.
Selections are amazing! So many different plants to choose from that I can’t decide.

I absolutely love this place. They’re conveniently located right by our house, prices are more than fair, and the staff was very helpful today. We had the pleasure of dealing with Joe today who was extremely informative and very kind. I ended up buying a pear tree, plum tree, and kumquat tree. Planted them all a little while ago and best of all, they offer a 1 year warranty from date of purchase. Trees looked extremely healthy too.
