I haven’t been here in years, so last night was my first time in «The New Spotlight». And honestly, I was afraid. I normally don’t do karaōke nights, so I had low expectations for my post-Las Vegas PRIDE Parade party with friends. What I didn’t realize was how enlivening karaōke is here! Really, some of those performances gave me LIFE, henny! And the presenter did a great job of juggling them all and keeping up a fun pace. The drinks here are on the cheap side, but they’re not really watered down. I got a good buzz after two. I may have to come back more often. I’m thrilled to see Spotlight not only up & running again, but also fully rejuvenated.

Just an average bar, nothing bad, but not much to mention either, Bartender is easygoing, but the only thing to eat is hot dog and popcorn.

Always a good time here. I usually go for karaōke on Fridays and I always have fun. This bar is very laid back. Let’s start with the karaōke host, Wil. He is one of my favorite KJ’s in Vegas. He keeps a fair rotation, always has a great attitude, professional, sings great, and likes to sometimes give us fun facts in between singers. The drinks are decently priced and strong. I find myself getting a buzz after a couple of cocktails. The bartenders I’ve dealt with are nice and make sure you are served in a timely manner. I love playing video keno so I like to play their machines. They are loose enough that I have won at least triple digit dollar amounts quite a number of times. The location is good, and the bar itself is nice, it’s a pretty open room that it doesn’t get too smokey. They have pool tables, shuffleboard, and a jukebox. There’s enough tables and seating for even a busy night. This is definitely a good place to go if you prefer a more laid back gay bar but still want to have a blast.

If you want the nightlife; you want to boogie… Better boogie on down to some other bar. The bar is dull, the music boring, the drinks weak, and the atmosphere cloudy with a chance of smog. If you like drowning your sorrows in overpriced beverages and bartenders that can’t break change to let you tip, then the Spotlight is the place for you. This is truly unfortunate. The bar has a great location and a lot of potential; it simply lacks the ambition of a successful gay bar.

do not, i repeat, do not leave any money on the bar when the hispanic drag queen is working! she ripped off my money, not once, but twice. the first time is was $ 20.00, last night when i went to the restroom it was $ 50.00! i did it on purpose to make sure! they need to break out the surveillance and watch this thief if action. been a customer for years. …not anymore! graveyard shift on 3−11−14

Ok so the building is nice and new, but honestly I like the gritty original better, also the bar tender here on Sunday has the personality of a wet mop. No thanks. I go places that have nice staff who make the customer feel special and this place misses terribly

Spent the weekend in Vegas visiting from Los Angeles and this was one of our favorite spots out of the 8 bars/clubs/lounges that we hit. Nice and clean, nothing over the top. The bartenders we met were super friendly. Lots of TVs playing sports, movies, etc… Laid back crowd. Stayed until the sun came up. Definitely will be returning.

The New Spotlight has been remodeled I guess, and it payed off because this place is really nice-looking now. They have plenty of booth seating as well as table/bar seating. It’s not very large in here, and there is no dance floor. Yet there is always some random dude dancing around through the tables at this place. Last night, some older guy had taken off his shoes and was using his socks to glide around on the polished floor to the music like he was in the movie«Risky Business» or something. Just much, much slower. Hilarious. They have a Touchtunes jukebox here, which is nice. It’s not a fancy one, but it gets the job done. They also have a pool table or two. Pretty much the standard. This is just your average bar, it just so happens to be a gay one.

Just went for the reopening of Spotlight and so far it is off to a great start. The place is new and clean and friendly. Definitely a neighborhood bar where they know their clientele. This is a bar not a club, they know how to make excellent drinks. The crowd has been very diverse on the nights I have been. Easy to talk and meet people. The gaming side was great as well, brand new machines that seem to pay much better then most bars in town. The«jukebox» has a great selection and everything from dance to country and oldies gets played. They have a pool table, dart machines, and TV’s everywhere that had sports on.
